I have my atrix HD rooted and safe strap installed and I have been trying out a few different ROMs for it. Earlier today I decided to install golden ROM over my stock slot, so I made a backup of my stock ROM and restored my stock ROM slot with a backup of golden ROM. Now when I turn my phone on it loads the safe strap screen like normal but if I try to go to safe strap or just boot my phone or goes to a black screen and does nothing.
Can someone please help me?

Your not supposed to write over the stock slot.

Try restoring your stock rom back. using safestrap/twrp.
If you are not able to do anything ... then propably you are gone .... ,
you will have to use rsd lite and install the stock firmware.

I thought that I read that it would be okay as long as I had a backup. Apparently not

There is the bell fastboot files available, so if needed you can just fastboot flash back to stock

okay, and if I dual boot ics and stock what does safemode do? like is it actually installed and use it as a daily driver? if i dual boot do my texts come in on ics and data works and everything? haha sorry for asll the questions. but i really hate screwing up my phone. i did that wih my atrix alot
That's the idea of safestrap. I think I've described it a dozen times so read up and download it URL="http://blog.hash-of-codes.com/how-to-safestrap/"]here[/URL].
TL;DR - you flash to a temporary /system and can go back to stock whenever.
EDIT: Read your last post. Safestrap allows you to flash a rom without touching your current system. Your flashed rom will become your DD as it's sort of a pain to switch over. The idea is to keep a stock rom intact so you can receive OTAs and such
Ahh. I installed safe strap and its pretty cool. Is there a fix for cm9 on calling? The speaker doesn't work

Well I was installing a custom system ui. And I didn't make a ss backup. My bad I know. Well the phone wouldn't boot up past recovery so I deleted the ROM slot and created a new one to reinstall a fresh copy of joker but when flashing the gapps the screen flashes off then goes back to the add zip screen. Any ideas?

Lol sure. To check all you need to do is cruise to your system app folder and see if there is odex files in there. Just send it to me again and I'll do it right quick.
Like that?

I have the AHD w/ 4.1.1 rooted. Other than rooting it, its stock. I haven't installed SafeStrap like everyone else and I'm going to unlock my bootloader shortly. So how should I go about flashing CWM recovery afterwards? I want to go from unlocking to flashing recovery without SafeStrap. Thanks

Easiest way is to download ROM manager and install the recovery for the photon q.

Don't know about that. Only 1 way to find out though.

yo can you flash with the photon q cmw if so is there a special process you use?
It works like it was made for ours.

I decided to use ROM Manager and install the Photon Q cwm. Works like a charm. I did a full backup & restore of my stock rooted 4.1.1 without a hitch. Mounted /system, wiped and reset, then flashed Batakang Rises and gapps... I can't complain at all! Haven't had any FCs or anything. Battery life is much better for sure!

I need some help I have look for the answer by searching but don't see anything. I am still new to this and need a little guidance please...
Motorola atrix hd at&t rooted and unlocked bootloader...

Uh I removed safe strap on my device but I can't remember how. It might have involved full wipe or something like that. It is probably not the exact way to do it so don't do it if you don't trust me.

So you uninstalled it then if your getting the dead Android.. You just click uninstall within safestrap. Make sure you delete the created partition.

fastboot erase recovery

Right? You can unlock BL while on safestrap I'm sure, so I don't see why not.
Unless I'm just dumb and SafeStrap isn't installed to the phone's recovery partition...
Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I installed cwm recovery flashed the cm10.2 and the safestrap is no more...
