[solved] root unlocked - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

hello.
okay so iam pretty new to rooting and this stuff. i have just ****ed my phone up alot of times, but now i installed a kernel that works, yay!
So i just checked with the app root checker and it says that i havnt unlocked root.
can somebody explains this for me? what proper root access is?
its an xperia V ver. 9.1.A.0.490
used the advanced stock .490 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2166787
android version 4.1.2
modelnumber lt25i
step by step process:
first i installed the drivers with this guide http://www.androidgadgematic.com/201...rivers-on.html
then i unlocked my bootloader with this guide http://www.androidgadgematic.com/201...er-easily.html
then i installed a kernel that i found out was to another version, so i installed a new one, the one i posted in description.
okay so i just realized that i havnt installed a rom lol, so just installed a recovery and a custom rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081148
now everything works, sorry for taking your time.

Re: [Q] root unlocked
Without telling which phone and firmware you have, and which steps you took to root your phone no one can give you any advice...
My guess would be that you don't have a SuperUser app or Busybox

dont think so - from what I have been reading you have to unroot your device to install the rom

Well, you're rooted and unlocked so all you really need to do is flash a recovery then choose one of the ROMs we have available.
The ROM developers generally have the latest updates rolled out LONG before carrier modded devices.
The ROMs available have many different flavours: Stock, Stock with theming, OC/UV capable, etc. Take your pick.

Sky go app and Xperia t

Hi I can't search specific forums on this app so excuse Me if this has been answered already.
Had anyone got sky go working on their Xperia t? They have a root check and doesn't let you view anything until root is removed. They also have a firmware signature check so you have to be on stock Rom.
I used supersu to fully un root like a dumbass and it still didn't work. Now super user won't install properly.
I'm on doom kernel with curiosity rom
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
You wont be able to use sky go with an unlocked bootloader because you are always rooted with that kernel, even if you uninstall supersu.
Flash the root package I have installed to get your supersu back.
RootPackage-gregbradley.zip - 1.75 MB
Ugh that is head wrecking.
Is there any script to spoof locked boot loader? Thanks Greg.

you can relock the bootloader. There is an ftf in the dev section, just search for it.
But then you will have to have a stock kernel.
Nah I'd feel like they won then and I'm waiting for JB Rom with decent battery life. I tried to remove the read phone state permission and it wouldn't start.
Edit: it blacklists and allows kernels by using the information like one would see in "about phone" right? Or does it go deeper?

is their an one click root toolkit or unlock bootoader for the t-mobile edition?

If so were can I find it I don't see it anywhere on xda
there is no bootloader unlock for the tmo version.
you can find root tools in the original dev section.
have had this device for 2 days, and i've rooted and upgraded to 4.2.2 in that time,
what enabled me to do this is reading through the threads here, try it, it works wonders.
I use this tool for my other device. work good on Lenove Aseries. Got file from China web.
Tested on Xperia Ion, J , Samsung SII and some Lenovo Aseries. hope can work for u. but only for root

noob
could you please explain this steps (Just download the latest Android 4.1.2 firmware and flash using Flashtool) because it will be my first time to play around with firmwares and i dont want to f*** up my phone I want to downgrade my xperia z because from the time on i upgraded to jelly bean 4.2.2 the Phone and Contacs icons disapeared and i think its because i backed up my phone on Titanium Backup two firmwares below 4.2.2 and then after upgrading two times it restored automaticly the backup from the Phone and Contact Apps and the new update doesent support these old versions...
also the icon disappearing thing happened on my previous firmware ( before i upgraded to 4.2.2, so in my first updrage after the firmware i backed up ) always when i turned my phone off , but then i just restored it each time from Titanium Backup, with restore App+Data, and i justed wonderd why this is happening...now when i try to restore it from Titanium Backup it stucks in the loading process..

Brother you cannot restore system apps from different version of android.
Nd to downgrade first download a ftf of your country and download flashtool and install it
Second- paste the ftf in fimewires folder of flashtool folder(c:\Flashtool\firmwares)
Third-open flashtool
Fourth-click lightning botton on the top left. And select flashmode.
Fifth-click the firmware on the left
Sixth-uncheck appslog, cache nd data on the right if downgrading(to prevent bootloop nd this wipes your internal storage)
Seventh-click flash nd wait for sometime till a box pops up saying connect in flashmode.so to connect in flashnode hold volume down and connect in pc nd then let the process finish.
After 5 min it will flash and you will see flashing finished.now you have successfully downgrades yoir fimeware...enjoy

im pretty much a noob so i have some questions..ftf is a firmware like jely bean 4.1.2? what firmware is 2 times below 4.2.2? where can i find an original sony xperia Z firmware like this (i live in germany if this is importand )? and if i downgrade to the firmware i made the backup what should i then do to proceed with an upgrade whithout having problems again? i mean should i erase first titanium backup and then downlaod it after i updated and then make a new backup or something like this? And was my prediction right of what the reason was that the calling app kept disapearing by rebooting my phone?

First of all bro ftf are firmware packages.and you can get any ftf in general section of xperia z forum but you need to search a bit.
Nd if you are using titanium backup, since 4.3 cannot be rooted for now, you meight need to flash a prerooted rom and then restore your apps/data from.TB..nd for contacts, measage you can use gcloud which can be found in playstore.

Sorry for these questions..as i said im pretty much a noob on this things
Also gcloud cant find any contact becaus e they are non...they just exist as an titanium backup backupfile which i cant restore because its an system app..:/

Bro it does not matter which country rom you are using,,nd for installation just flash the rom in custom recovery before that wipe everything data, cache nd dalvic cache nd after instillation power off your devuce ns flash the kernel from the ftf but before flashing once read the installation procedure of the rom.

You can use Flashtool to download and flash your country's firmware. No root required.
See: How to package and flash stock roms in FTF format.
I noticed you're from India. I already packaged a stock 10.5.1.A.0.283 generic Indian FTF for the C6602 that you can use here.

If you go to the guide that I linked you to in my earlier post, it tells you how to do everything step by step with images.
Download the stock rom I linked, then follow part 1 and part 3 of the guide. I cannot explain it any better than the guide I already created.
