Currently, I am using Samsung Galaxy S with the the custom ROM CyanogenMod 10.1, version 4.2.2.
When I connect my phone to PC, it can't read my internal memory (16GB), but I can access to my internal memory by file manager.
What is the problem and how can I solve it?
The screenshot is in attachment.

Hello Everyone. I'm in need of help here. I have been searching the forum for 5hours to solve my problem, sadly, none has worked.
I can see my external storage on setting>storage but somehow I cannot access it using file explorer. The external_sd directory are visible using ES file explorer but sadly, I cannot move file into it. I had formatted it into ntfs but failed, then back to fat32 but both are not working. When connected to PC via USB cable the PC cannot detect the SD card. The card are working well in my other phone.
My device: Galaxy Note N7000
Rom: [ROM][AOSP][JB][4.1.2][JZO54K] SuperNexus - N7000 - BUILD 5 [17-10-12]
Kernel: MaxFu HydraCore v7.5 STD
Sorry for my bad english.
check in /storage/sdcard0 for internal SD. format this using the settings on the phone itself and check. try mounting the phone as mass storage mode

I cannot mount it as the option to mount it been 'greyed out'..btw, i have no problem with internal SD card. only with external SD card. Thank you.
Do a nandroid backup of the current rom and try installing an ICS rom and check if the external sd is ok. Many JB has issues with external SD if not flas d correctly.
If ok on ics. Do a clean install if the rom again and then you can restore your data later

Thanks man. It works. But it seems that the card transfer rate are a bit slow. is it have something to do with rom or kernel?
In mtp mode, it could be slow. Try in mass storage mode.
If you still want Jelly Bean, you may try SVA rom, mass storage works fine on both internal and external SD card.:good:

Hi folks,
I am a new android user. I have Galaxy Note 1 and it is not rooted.
Here're the specs of my phone:
Model GT-N7000
Android v4.1.2
Kernel v 3.0.31-906407
[email protected] #3
It has a 16 GB external SD card + default internal USB storage. It was working fine till a few hours back. Then Gallery stopped opening and Camera wouldn't start either. There is nothing shown in MyFiles folder. I have checked using ES File Explorer as well and no data is shown in the directories.
External SD card is working fine. But Internal USB card does not get mounted. There is > 500 mb in internal memory. I've moved most of the apps to SD card and removed unnecessary ones.
Here's the break up of 'Storage':
Device memory
Total Space - 1.97 GB
Applications - 749MB
Available space - 560MB
USB storage
Applications - 158MB
SD card
Total space - 14.83 GB
Available space - 2.18 GB
I have cleared Gallery app - cache, rebooted but it doesn't change.
Also, I noticed that when I am trying to back up messages, it waits for external storage card. The card is inserted and mounted but the phone has stopped seeing it as active. I can mount the external SD card on my notebook though.
Can anyone please help. I am starting to get worried

If u didn't root and u didn't drop/smash your phone, it would be a software issue. You'll have to flash stock ROM via ODIN. If u did drop your phone, it could be a hardware issue and you'll have to bring it to a Samsung Service Centre.
P.S. try taking out your external sd-card, reboot and check if the problem persists.
Merry Christmas!
Smack that thanks button If I helped!

Hello people,
I have a problem with my external sd card and my internal usb storage (the 1.2GB one)
The apps on my phone say it isnt mounted, and when i go into recovery mode and i mount sdcard1, the apps still can't find it (i think it gets unmounted). I really need to fix this because my music is on the sdcard.
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500D
CyanogenMod 11
CWM 6.0.4.5
External SD-Card: 32GB MicroSDHC Class 4
CWM can acces the external storage but not the internal

If you want to use a "sdcard0" maybe you must be rollback to CM 10.1 (or 10.2 if it's does works...) - Now CM11 with sdcard0 it's doesn't works around... Maybe I will be wait to March or may to Fix a sdcard/Camcorder problems... When Now I switching to CM 10.1 and Performance it's not bad but I will be switch to Gingerbread Lite ROM for The ram (~128MB of 398MB) - Even I trying "USB Mass Storage" and that's works only on External SD [sdcard1] When it's not a lost about a Builds...

Thanks for the tip, but i already found a (kind of) solution.
I now use a modification of cm11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593427) where the external sd card gets mounted in place of the internal and everything works fine now. And i need 4.4 because for the things i use it, gingerbread is pretty slow, but it works with much less lagg on 4.4
So.. I did what I planned for this weekend - installing the Carbon 4.4.2 rom. ^^
But I have a problem..
In recovery, when I select "Mount USB storage", my computer can detect both the internal storage and the external sdcard. But I can't move files to any of them. I can't even read files.
First, I thought this was a driver issue, but yesterday I noticed that I couldn't move Dolphin Browser's download location to ext sdcard.
It appears that the internal storage is listed twice in the storage directory, while only one of the links is working. The external sd however is listed only once and unfortunately not working.. :/
And by the way, any file managers work just fine. I have full access to the ext sd there..
Hope anyone can help me.

Hmm..mine also..using J1 ace 2015 android 4.4.4..also cannot move/copy pictures/music to ext sdcard..weird..is it samsung or google problem??annoying!!
Hi
I recently installed the newest nightly build of LineageOS (the link on the wiki page). I put in my 64GB micro sd card and formatted it to work as internal storage. Android itself does recognize this (in the settings menu), but the file manager doesn't, and when i connect the phone via usb to my windows 10 pc, it also only shows around 11 GB of storage space. After I copied some music over (and some time) it now reports my the sdcard in windows (with its 59,4GB), but not the internal storage. Is that a bug? Am i stupid?
