Hey guys, i recently bought a brand new xperia T, everything is quiet classy in this bond phone except for its WiFi...the problem im facing is that i used to have desire x previously...the spots where desire x showed 3 bars, xperia shows a bar or sometimes just a dot same is the problem with my galaxy nexus, but the nexus hardly drops the connection at v.weak signals on the other hand my xperia drops the connection if the signals are too weak...i just want to know am i the only one experiencing this problem...is it my hardware or what? i hate sony for this!
Sony Xperia T LT30p
Custom Rom 4.1.2 (DooMKernel)
9.1.A.0.489
Only in the beginning I had problems with weak signals. solved it by unchecking the option "avoid poor connections" @ advanced WiFi settings. This would make my phone drop the connection when the signal was low.

I've unchecked that aswell but the problem persists really annoyed

I had the same problem then I discovered it happen only in stock firmware or stock based ROM. Try Flashing CM10 or CM10.1. Your problem will likely be solved.

Good news! There have been new software for Xperia V, which in addition to some general improvements should also remedy the problem as some of you have experienced with the screen goes black, and that it is not possible to turn on/off the phone without ta ' battery out. For those of you who have experienced the problem, we regret the wait and hope that now get full enjoyment from your Xperia V. (Translated by Bing)

Hi all,
Though i'm happy with my z i got a small problem.
The display is flickering constantly, i read in several Forums about this should be an Software issue with Sonys 4.2.2
So i went back to 4.1.2 but i still noticed a flickering on the display, and in any other Rom i tried.
Question is: hardware or software fault?

Wait until the New bugfixes are out it could be a bug within the kernel that Sony have finally found but I'm no expert I've just picked up info on here across multiple devices due to my love for New tech

Alnikkis kernel fixed the flickering for me.
So it should be fixed on new firmware hopefully permanently.

I did this to remove flickering.
1. Reseted the device.
2.Repair Installed the software Via SUS.
Fresh installed the apps after reset and the flickering was gone.
(FYI my device is Stock JB ROM 4.2.2 V .244)

Thanks but i managed to get the flickering away.
It seems like a kernel fault, and should be fixable.
I also contacted sony support and pm'ed mods becoz of this issue, hoping they will finally fix it..

Ahh~! I was really becoming to get annoyed by this and believed it's a software issue rather than hardware faulty, so I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm glad they're going to fix it.

friend
this is hardware issue with the pcb of xperia z and there is no pcb schematics available, so search for the hardware solution, may be it is a small capacitor on board.

Hi all,
I have been facing an issue with the n7. Regardless of the ROM (4.3.x) that I'm on, the bloody wifi seems to broken. Once I disable the wifi reenabling it is a pain and in many cases it does not. I have to reboot or switch off the device and even then it won't start. Any ideas how to solve the issue. It has been appearing on all 4.3 Android based ROMs
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
It's a software issue I had since upgrading to 4.3 the only way I could get it working was to reset the router.
I've since installed CM10.2 which is based on 4.3 and now have no issues

Will decide it after 4.3 update...but till now very satisfied with everything except the camera and wifi
The bad wifi range is very annoying also the broken auto brightness.
Hopefully 4.3 can bring improvements
It is a pretty good device seeing as I came from xperia arc which it had it's faults like low internal memory, small amount of ram.
For me the Sp had decent specs like all phones it has problems. Which phone don't? WiFi, camera, could be better, will see if new update fixed anything
satisfied except for the RAM issue.

I am happy, altho there are some small bugs I can live with them
satisfied, but annoyed with:
bad camera (i seldom snap pics though)
bad ram management (walkman fc, keyboard fc, launcher redraws quite often)
touch screen sometimes loses sensitivity (leaving glove-mode switched on solves this, glove-mode doesn't need to be activated)
no led indicator in stamina mode (wth)
wifi seems weak (tbh i think it's fine, just the signal not showing true strength)
Highly Satisfied.
What I love:
-Impressive UI, It was my first Xperia Since I've been using Galaxy before. Xperia UI is MUCH better.
-Smoothness
-I love the LED illumination lights.. (But I wish it was like before that i can customize the color for some contacts even New Message or Unread.)
-Gaming Experience..
-Fast data connection..
-Good battery Life..
-Updates..
-And of Course Active Developers of this phone. )
Downsides but i can live with it:
-Camera.
-Wifi Range.
Overall.. I am Highy satisfied with my XSP C5303 experience. )
I have an AT&T Xperia TL and am running 4.1.2 in the US. Is there any way to get the 4.3 update on my phone? AT&Ts development time is horribly slow.
This should answer your question

u can but different devices have different annoyng bugs .eg. touch screen issues . some have wifi issues some of low sound issues and some have no problem at all. bare that in mind when using this rom that u may have problems
Yes, you can but it's a complex, multi-step process. I'm working on a fool-proof guide to preserve LTE and other stuff (reflashed my phone a dozen times).
The guide is now ready.
