yup the dam little battery of the board iits all the problem ii allrdy fix 3 thrills whit the same problem doing this:
i take a laptop bios battery whith the little cables atach and i solder the cables to each poles of the thrill board battery and put to charge whit the phone off i wait liike 10 miins then i turnon the phone and BUALA chargiing again i wait to get full charge indiicator on the phone then very genttle i cut the wires attach to the batery and let it get everythiing workiing for 1 to 2 hrs then i turn off the phone remove the phone battery and take apart the phone to remove all 2 wires from the battery assoon i finish reassembly i turn on and presto the phone iits rdy to go.
ii hope this metod can help alot of friends.
i have issues with the stupid MICRO USB cables going out after a while. i order some new ones every once in a while.
Ya probably a bad cord order a bunch of monoprice they don't cost much and most devices use them now so they are good to have around.

Has anyone seen anything about a cradle being available ?
I generally pop my blueangel in the cradle when I get home at night and it charges up and syncs really quickly there as well.

I haven't been able to find one. I bought my TyTn II from clove and they are to have a cradle "soon". http://www.clove.co.uk/viewProduct....Category=0A33F854-4108-4A5E-805C-63811E7D6256
I'm not going to buy one until I get confirmation that it will be able to charge a second stand alone battery.
Hey,
My TyTN II fits in the cradle from HTC for my TyTN. Not perfectly , but 95%. It is fully functional.

Thats great. Thanks for the info. So this one will work fine then http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300149305916
And does yours charge the extra battery in the back with no problem?
I guess I should look up the charging specs before purchasing one.
I just got the TyTN cradle today and the extra battery charger in the back of the cradle has 5 connectors but my TyTN II battery has 4 connectors so if any one is getting a TyTN cradle to charge an extra battery its a waste of money. I know the poster recommended the cradle to charge and hold up the TyTn II and did not advise on the extra battery charging so it was my mistake. I'm just posting this in case another user may find this information helpful.

Strange that the TYTn II fits into the TyTn cradle... I have a car holder for my TyTn and even though The new TyTn II fits into car holder 95% but it does not charge strangely enough.
Yup, the TyTn Charge cradles work but the back of the Kaiser is thinner which places most of the support work on the connector. Plus that extra battery charger ports are now useless. Definately wait for a "real" Kaiser charge cradle. Ahh, the trials of early adopting
I took the TyTN cradle apart, pealed back the glue holding 2 of the end pins down, popped off the center right pin and placed the end pin in its place, went under it with super glue then over it with loctite glue. I put the extra battery in the back, it was at 1% charge and it took 6 hours to get to 100%. It shows red for charging and green for charged. It doesn't get as warm as a battery usually would when charging which coincides with the lengthy 6 hour charge time. The cradle doesn't charge the phone unless the usb is plugged in. But I believe this will suit my needs and any other impatient users out there. It took less than 2 minutes and was super easy.
Which band cradle? Mine has no way to re-locate the pins, there are "divots" on each side of the contacts, right where the moved ones would need to be.
Did you mean which brand of cradle? The guy on ebay has 3 more of them. Do you want me to email u pics of my modified one? Its no trouble. http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...+htc+cingular+8525+hermes+tytn+b78&category0=
If anyone decides to do this I just wanted to single out the fact that my findings were that this works but charges the battery very very slowly. The last 10 percent to reach 100% took 2 hours to complete. The battery is cold in the charger. However the upright cradle charging the phone charges at a normal rate.
I'll prolly wait for Kaiser docks to surface. On the one you modded, did it charge Hermes batteries slowly as well? They are the same capacity and if the Kaiser takes longer I'd be concerned that the charger wasn't monitoring the charge correctly. I use a lot of lithiums in R/C gear and they burn really well when chargers go astray.
Ive never had a Hermes. It charges the battery at almost a normal rate but then when the battery is 90% the charge light turns green then the last 10% takes a few hours to charge up.
Any updates on this ? Finally got my Tilt yesterday and am ready for a cradle

I would like one of these also, but I would like to make it work as a speakerphone while in the cradle. I guess I would need a mini USB splitter and an audio and mike adapter too?
Anyone seen such an animal or have any ideas on just how to do it??
Thanks
I am trying to charge an O2 XDA IIi device with a sync/charge cable, but it seems to discharge the battery instead of charging it. I have tried with different devices, different cables and different batteries, but the same thing happens every time. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something I do not know about?
Is the cable specifically for the XDA IIi? I am asking as i have an iPAQ rx1950 and its cable is physically the same but the pin outs must be different as its cable doesn't connect, let alone charge.
Does the Alpine charge when cradled?
Hello,
Yes the cable is the right one (I think!) as I am able to sync using it and I have charged it previously using the cable. And yes the XDA IIi is charging using the cradle.
The problem is some time it charges and some time it do not charge, by the cable.

Hi, I used to have the same problem, thought it was a dodgy battery, bought a new one but didnt work. After trying everything i finally took the case off and simply cleaned up the pins and the PCB they connect to. They seemed to of oxidised a little and this was bridging a couple of circuits i think. Anyway put her back together and hey presto, works just fine. Oh and the cheap chinese battery i bought self destructed in my draw, swelling up and splitting its case, was only about 3 months old. The original battery which i thought was dodgy at first is now still going strong, charging and holding charge like new.
Dont give up, just get yourself some star screw drivers ( i forget what they are called) very cheap on ebay and crack her open. What you got to loose.

Torx is the correct technical description. Think it may be a size 6 you need.
did you get anywhere with this abhishekbanik?
I have a p3700 3.7v 900mah battery oem, and I hooked it up to a small fan motor (I know it was stupid) and now it won't charge, and when I put it in my phone, it tries to start, gets to the touch diamond boot screen, then turns off and tries to turn on again. I don't know what to do... help anyone? Can I revive it?
1)Hard reset
2)Look at the image I made for you.I dont know how safe is it to use but, this method is used for old batteries in order to work again.
3)if you have guarantee, you may have to use it
Just dont tell them what really happened
Thanks, will try #2, hard reset doesn't make the battery charge.
Much cleaner than cutting usb cord and take red and black wire out.
You can try and AA Batteries,I m not sure which batteries are the best for this experiment
Just buy a new battery. Li-ion batteries are cheap enough but have a limited lifetime and are easy to damage.
The cheap 1$ batteries that arrive from hong kong and risk exploding while taking two - three weeks to get here? No thank you, on to option #2
So one day my phone randomly stopped charging correctly..... It was working perfectly like 2 days ago. But now every time I want to charge my phone I have to bend the HTC charging cord down so that it will charge and most of the time it doesn't even charge properly. If I just put it in normally it will not charge at all. The highest I got my phone to charge was 47% and from there it just goes down because my phone doesnt charge properly.
Ive had a problem with my charging port before but Ive gotten it replaced and it was working perfectly.
I also got a brand new charging cord for about $30 so the cord is not the problem.
Ive also tried to use a friends cord and charge my phone but I still have to bend the cord to get it to work.
Someone please help me with this.. This is very stressful. My phone was working fine 2 days ago. And its been working perfectly for a long time. But now all of a sudden it wants to stop working properly.

Same exact thing happened to me, I wouldn't toy around with it too much because I completely broke mine to where it won't charge at all now..
What I suggest is getting a charger dock for just your batteries (if you have more than one) or just buy a new charger port and replace it.. it's only held in by two screws.

How much does a charger dock cost?
You could probably find a cheap charger dock on eBay. Albeit it might be of poorer grade, it would be enough to get you by.

Amazon is a good resource for many things, including chargers. I bought a battery for my old phone there, and it came with a free external battery charger. It turns out that it charges most any LiOn battery. The charger is built by Anker, and costs about $5 or $10. A very good technique is to buy a second battery and charge it, then swap batteries when the phone's battery gets low. That way you always have a charged battery available.
Hello!
Well, I guess I'm the new (un)lucky owner of my stepfather's Xperia T since he decided Z3 suits him more (not that we are rich, he's just kinda shoppingholic or smth).
I replaced old HTC Wildfire S with it and I was fkin amazed. There was no root or tweak that could ever make that little HTC (who has supported me over the years even after falling in water and all other ****) be even a close match to my shiny new-old XPeria.
However, the phone keeps irritating me with it's charging problems.
I'm an electric engineering student and this crap sounds like connection problem (but I don't wanna admit it to myself), but I still hold your opinions to be very important since well....you guys know this phone through it's soul.
Here is the weird thing...
I got it with it's original charger while I still had a charger I used to charge my HTC. It was some old nokia cable and was charging HTC perfectly, always without a problem, but Xperia always seemed to have a bad connection with it. I tried it's original charger and almost the same. That was bearable until last few days, connection was starting to grow so weak, it took me like half an hour to make the damn phone charge. Worst thing, battery run dry, so can you imagine that feeling when you have to wait 5 seconds before the battery logo does it's animation before you can actually realize if your phone is charging or just "ate a spark".
I've searched on google and many people seem to be having similar, even though much worse problems (phone does not react to the charger at all) and I'm actually afraid that's where my dear Xperia is going.
Weird thing is when I visited my parents last week, I tried plugging it into my mother's charger (S4 charger) the phone started charging immediately, I tried rocking the charger a little left and right, and it didn't seem to distract it.
Tried friend's charger, same problems again!
Can't figure out what the problem might be...I thought it was the cable, then the port, now I don't know what to think of anymore.
Help please!
Thanks guys!
UPDATE:
OK, while I was writing the post and doing other stuff, the phone was charging, I disconnected it now to check for battery level, I succesfully turned it on (no more double red blinking) but the phone just showed PIN screen and Turning off.. note appeared. Which means after half an hour of charging, the battery is at the same level....?
Should I let it charge overnight?
I mean I don't feel comfortable doing it since I can't see the battery and my landlord has no tools in the whole apartment...Maybe the battery might be damaged...
Try your mother's USB cable with your recharger.
I guess it's your USB port that is dying.. .
PS now I know what's a stepfather.. LOL.. Thank you XDA (and thank you Google Translator)

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that, but it's going to be a problem talking her into it
Well, I'm glad you learnt it haha
Wohoo!
Successfully turned it on, after 20minutes of charging it's at 1% and hopefully it's gonna go up!
Oh! In the meantime the phone just turned off again showing empty battery while it was still charging! O.O
FU Sony. Telling my shoppingholic stepdad not to waste money on Z3. -.-
Try to clean the USB port with cotton and alcohol. Maybe it's only some dirt over the metallic contacts.

I'll try it, but still doesn't explain why the battery is still at minimum charge.
I left it to charge overnight, I'll tell you guys if things got better in the morning.
Good night and thanks for help!
Well, couldn't wait. Turned it on again. 32% as we speak.
Let's se what you've got for me this time Xperia...
By the way, I know the battery is most common problem on this cell, it kept restarting for my stepdad, he got the battery replaced already....
Well, fully charged today....who knows what the problem might have been...

So the battery is okay.
The problem could be: some dirt, a USB metallic pin bent or broken, the USB port entirely broken, or just an UFO that steals your energy only when you connect it to the recharger
