So one day my phone randomly stopped charging correctly..... It was working perfectly like 2 days ago. But now every time I want to charge my phone I have to bend the HTC charging cord down so that it will charge and most of the time it doesn't even charge properly. If I just put it in normally it will not charge at all. The highest I got my phone to charge was 47% and from there it just goes down because my phone doesnt charge properly.
Ive had a problem with my charging port before but Ive gotten it replaced and it was working perfectly.
I also got a brand new charging cord for about $30 so the cord is not the problem.
Ive also tried to use a friends cord and charge my phone but I still have to bend the cord to get it to work.
Someone please help me with this.. This is very stressful. My phone was working fine 2 days ago. And its been working perfectly for a long time. But now all of a sudden it wants to stop working properly.

Same exact thing happened to me, I wouldn't toy around with it too much because I completely broke mine to where it won't charge at all now..
What I suggest is getting a charger dock for just your batteries (if you have more than one) or just buy a new charger port and replace it.. it's only held in by two screws.

How much does a charger dock cost?
You could probably find a cheap charger dock on eBay. Albeit it might be of poorer grade, it would be enough to get you by.

Charger
Amazon is a good resource for many things, including chargers. I bought a battery for my old phone there, and it came with a free external battery charger. It turns out that it charges most any LiOn battery. The charger is built by Anker, and costs about $5 or $10. A very good technique is to buy a second battery and charge it, then swap batteries when the phone's battery gets low. That way you always have a charged battery available.

Recently a bad charger accident fried my nexus one. On investigation it was found that the mid chassis has been damaged and if i get a replacement for the same the phone should work fine. Since am in India, this phone is not covered under warranty nor are the part available. Can somebody help me by pointing me to site wherein i can buy the spares for the phone. I found this site in China but they are not selling it as of now.

I stopped using my home charger because a few days ago, I'd plug it in, it would show it was charging but I'd wake up and it would be almost dead. Next night, same thing. I plugged it in one day, watched it, and it was LOSING power pretty quickly.
I think my charger has a short as well.
I think im having a problem with my charger as well, If i use the A/C charger when I wake up the phone is extremely hot so I play it safe and use usb and a blackberry charger
I have bought this item: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Battery-Charger-3100mAh-Included/dp/B009M5J9HY/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1369030345&sr=1-3&keywords=note+2+charger
I am really disappointed with this. First, I thought the unit was defective, since I was completely unable to charge either my original battery or the one that came with the charger (battery EB595675LU, with Chinese writings added to the language list). I tried different cables and wall sockets and got nothing. The unit does have one LED light, but it never came on. Eventually, I noticed that it would actually work if I shoved the USB cable in really tight. I also learned that a 0.000001-inch move would disconnect the power, even if the cable was still physically connected to the charger. Keep in mind that this happened straight out of the box on the day it arrived. It was brand new.
After discovering that the charger could not be moved at all or it would not charge the battery, I was able to charge the battery that came with it (EB595675LU). It charged OK, but I felt it had less power than the original battery. It drained much faster than the original battery, even when I was home with Wifi on instead of LTE. I think that happened for one of two reasons: (1) the charger didn't completely charge the battery, or (2) the battery is indeed crappy/fake/less powerful than the original one.
At this point, I'm unhappy with the quality of the product. It's brand new and I already have to deal with the problem of the cable moving and disconnecting the power. If this charger is really from Samsung, this quality is unacceptable. That's terrible. But wait! There's more! I used the second battery until it died and tried to charge it in my phone. No problems there, but the charger completely died. Yes, died as in completely dead. And I've charged one single battery on this thing! Now nothing was working. Original battery, second battery, nothing. It just gave out on me. I looked at the battery contacts and noticed that one of them was not aligned with the other two. I touched the crooked one a little bit and it started working again, but still gave me the USB cable problem (disconnecting power). The crooked contact is still crooked as I didn't want to force it and risk breaking the damn thing.
I wanted to buy this charger and the extra battery because I'll be going on a trip soon and didn't want the extra weight and thickness of an extended battery. I chose to get a second standard battery and a separate charger, so I could just swap batteries on the go if needed. I really hope the unit I got is defective. I can't believe Samsung would put out such a crappy product and expect it to sell. I definitely don't want to be in the middle of nowhere on my trip and find out the stupid charger gave out on me at night and my second battery didn't charge. And what's worse is that just about every separate charger I found on eBay/Amazon has terrible reviews due to quality issues.
My goal is to have a reliable/trustworthy separate charger and a second standard battery. I'll be able to maintain my phone's thin profile, have enough power to take lots of pictures, and have no charge downtime other than overnight. Power banks and extended batteries wouldn't work for me in this case. I hope this review has been helpful.
I have the official Samsung battery & charger stand. Bought mine directly from Samsung using a 50% off code from registering the phone. Works as it should and can be moved around. Only cost 20 bucks, too(50% off)
Sounds like yours might be a knock off. Send it back & get a refund. If you need a 50% off code, pm me.
Couple of questions.
1. Anyone notice when using a magnetic charging cable that the phone charges at literally half the speed that it does from using the regular usb cable?
2. Does the magnetic charging doc that was made for the Z1 work with the Z1s?
3. Does it charge super slow with the magnetic charging dock too?
Sent from my C6916 using xda app-developers app
1. Yes, because your magnetric cable is not original. Many of this cables make problems because they do not respect Sony Specification. Mine for example charge 10% in 1 hour. Some of them working well, but is just luck.
2. Not sure about that but I think you can. I don't think they made a different everything in Z1s.
3. No. I got Original DK31 and in less than 2 hours my phone is fully charged. But if you buy not original one you can face this problem.

15%. If you got not original, fake, stuff you get problem with charging. Try Original Sony first, then you will understand.

No I was just asking so I could just use the magnetic charger instead of the cable, the cable takes me like 3 hours to charge unless it's because I plug in the charger with the surge protector thing I have plugged in with my computer. Cause when I charge the phone with just an outlet, not attached to any surge protector or the such, it seems to charge faster but it's probably just me, but anyways if that dock does charge in under 2 hours I will get one from the Sony website lol.

I use the Stock Wall Charger 1.5mAh to 5V with the Original Dock. I spend like 26 euros for a best magnetic cable possible on eBay and it charge 10% in 1 Hour, Unbelievable. BTW, 3 hours from computer is normal because the mAh output is less than the Wall Charger. Next time I will buy original only or I will check the functionality of the cable and if it not working like it should I sand it back. Now I can't because i thought it was fine, but is not.

I wasn't clear my mistake, I meant I had the charger plugged in with the block plugged into an outlet extension( the thing where it plugs into one outlet allowing 5 more things to be plugged in through that one outlet) with my computer also plugged into the extension outlet also, but my phone takes 3 hours to charge, but when I charge it through the outlet alone not into the extension it seems to charge faster.
Thanks for the help, I will look into Sony charging dock or magnetic charging cable. Think mine does like 8-10% in an hour... But my phone charges much faster with the usb charger that came with the phone. 3 hours tops and my phone is charged. I'm trying to preserve the flap, so may have to spend more and go straight from Sony, instead of Amazon.

I use the charging dock that came with the phone, the charging speed is about 1% each minute.
Definitely worth it if you wanna charge your phone fast
Sent from my Xperia Z1
okay then, thanks you two for the clarification of the dock, if it didn't charge fast it wouldn't consider buying it but I might now
So the battery life has been great, and I haven't had to use any other charger other than the OEM for a while. The other day I was out with friends and I took out my car charger (2A) that I hadn't needed since I got the flex because I just don't have to charge my phone like how I used to with my note 2. So anyways, I took it out because I knew I wouldn't be back home for a while and I would have to charge my phone outside the house for the first time ever.
I connected the charger and I got a "slow charge" message on the top, like if I had connected it to a usb port.. ok?....this charger has charged many devices so I know it works. It has even charged tablets, so I thought it was strange. No problem though right? I'll just charge it for a bit at my friends house and just watch my usage throughout the night. As soon as I connected it to my friends OEM samsung 2A Note 2 charger I thought everything was fine until I checked it again about 45 minutes later when we were about to leave. It had charged maybe 1% in those 45 minutes!
So the night passed and I was ok but ever since then it has got me thinking. I have connected several other chargers and they all act the same, the phone charges at maybe 500mAh, not even that sometimes, but with the OEM charger it works like normal.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?
I have experience this with cheap usb chargers. But I also have anywhere from 5 -10 between my house and work and they are all from Samsung and BlackBerry. And they all work just fine.

I just wanted to update you guys. So I shut down the phone and let it sit for a bit and turned it back on. The note 2 charger now charges the flex at an acceptable rate and it seems that maybe it was just glitched. Next time I'll be sure to just turn off and on the phone first if it happens again.

I remember reading somewhere that this phone uses USB 3.0, and the rep told me that using a car charger may trickle charge the battery and cause irreparable damage.. Looking at my OEM cable for my last phone, the S3, the G Flex cable is thicker.. I make sure to only use the one that came with the phone, call me paranoid lol
This is truly weird. I can now only charge my Verizon Droid Turbo with a USB port on the computer or the charger from a Google Nexus 7 tablet or the car charger. No other charger works including the one that came with the phone. Turbo charging stopped working months ago, but I really didn't care because I didn't need it.
Anybody heard of anything like this?
Bring the charger that came with the phone (and phone) of course to Verizon. They should be able to replace it.
Appreciate the quick response
I will to that but I really want to know how this could have stopped charging on all the chargers it was working with just 2 days ago. These same chargers work with anything but this one phone.

I'm guessing one is charging via data connection, the rest knows it's charge mode?
I have exact issue. My phone actually drains s few percentage points while on the charger. If I plug into charger at night at 40%, my morning it is 3%. Assuming charger or cord was bad, I used old Droid Max cord. That worked for a few days, then not. Same with car charger. Now I am using Bose Sound link charger. Any ideas?
