Not sure whether the right place to ask but can anyone please port the HTC butterfly's camera app for Xperia Z! love their sharpness and vividness
is it even possible?
Not sure what you are trying to do here, the sharpness and vividness depends on the actual camera not the camera app. If you want you can actually touch up the photos you take with an app like pixlr express.

Do you mean the pics taken from mobile camera ? if yes then, on paper TX have a great camera but when comes to reality the picture looks some what washed out, the photo will look OK on mobile due to Bravia Engine.
Bravia Engine only works when you are viewing any picture or video from mobile and it is not coded to individual files. hope you get what i mean.
There is a rumour that camera will be fixed in jellybean update, wait for it.
If it only works ob mobile how come thats ppl around here make comparison liked uploadin pics with bravia engin effect on and off i just need to have the effect of be outside the mobile it realy makes a huge differnce

Because they're screenshots taken from within the mobile. Bravia Engine is just a software effect that tweaks contrast and saturation on the fly for things viewed in the Sony album or videos app. It doesn't change the files themselves, just how they're displayed on the screen, and a screenshot picks the effect up.
Hey I have tested the port app from the Google edition HTC One (GS4) and it works like a charm on my Xperia Z with Android 4.2.2.
All functions including Photosphere work when accessed from the Gallery app. The Camera shortcut does crash sometimes. All you have to do is just download the APK and install it on your phone. It will not replace your stock camera app so you can just install it and use it as an alternative.

Sorry if it is s stupid question but does this app give you any better pics? Specially when there is low light or night time...I get pathetic images on stock app during night time...red dots all over..

i got back stockcamera from tjis mod with v5 with one shoot volume down.

Top man. Works nicely. Confusing as hell to use though.
I played a little with photosphere app. Great app. But the picture quality is not very good when zooming.
I compare 2 photoshere from the same point (one with my Xperia Z, one with S4 not google edition).
The one from S4 is much more sharp than the one from Xperia Z. What a pity...
Alternative Camera App
Reckon I will give this one a shot in a little bit. Was trying to get the Honami Camera app to work last night after de-odexing new Stock ROM, but this might keep me content until Honami is updated for new Firmware. Nice One !:laugh:
Yes our phone has a 13MP Camera. But i've a link here, to gsm arena, and the xperia p with a 8MP camera has a more clear shot. Is there a way to make the camera pref. Better? a Mod or someting?

I had xperia P befor buying my new xperia V, but biw I'm so disappointed with the camera of XV, bcoz XP got soo thick and suoerb quality 8mpxl camera. Our XV git 13mpxl but when comparing this two phones camera XP is the best. What you think about this XV camera?

Its putrid quality
Turn off intelligent auto its awful. Managing setting according to situation under normal mode makes a huge difference. The camera can be really good.

Normal Mode...play with iso and measurement and resolution...maybe disable image stabilizer...check the white balance settings too
if you want good pictures, dont use auto mode (i use that only for qick shots)

The settings depend on your shot your taking. Just remember to use a high enough ISO to freeze motion in your image. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF NOISE! It looks better than blur. I never ever leave my iso on auto.
Hi all, the thing is that i' m looking for a camera app that would let me manually adjust the focus because auto focus, touch focus wont work, because sometimes i catch the image perfectly but auto focus keeps refocusing, its not hardware related since i get the perfect picture but the next moment autofocus re adjusts it. Please devs think of this.

I've asked this question multiple times, but got no answer.. The feature was available on the Optimus black gingerbread rom.. I think I'll try to download it and extract the apk.. But I doubt it'll work..
