It's tempting. This would be cheaper than the 8GB model in the Google store. Gave OP a thanks even though I'm not the pre-ordering type. If discount is available from one vendor, it'll be available from another down the road. We appreciate tech toys, but they can only depreciate.

Well this is probably not going to drop lower than this until used/ refurbs come out.
Google is already losing money on these tablets so there isn't much leeway in price. The only reason it is cheap through this site is because the site always offers free shipping. And the coupon code is site wide, so it was a fluke it was useable for the tablet (also probably why they took the Nexus 7 off their site, so they can wait for the coupon deal to end.

As someone else said, worse that can happen is they cancel on you. And if you use a Mastercard credit card, they won't charge you until they ship. So if they cancel on you, your money was never tied up anyway. Sounds like a win to me and no losses in sight.

Wasn't aware they shipped to Israel.
Not sure when it will ship. Because they took the listing down. But it should hopefully ship mid July (when Google ships) or end of July (when Gamestop ships them) Either way, I am willing to wait in order to save over $40.

Well that was just a suggestion, if you don't have a mastercard then you just have to pull the pre-order trigger and hope for the best.

I don't think it ships to Israel, but u can use mustop or ushops services to get US address and they will ship to Israel.

edit: just ordered one. Did notice one thing. It never specifically specified it was the 16 gb version ? I know the price kinda implied that but i couldn't really find the actual "proof" if you will.

You are right....
The Item ID does have a 16 at the end, but no proof. I'm going on the OP of the thread that provided this link they said the original description (when it was up) was for a 16gb.
So I'm sure it is a 16gb, but if they run out maybe they will send 8gb and say, well we never said.
Anyway, I don't think it is a problem. If they send me 8gb I will just return it

It's definetly the 16gb model. I Googled the model number the J&R listed for the Nexus, ASU NEXUS7/1B16, and found the same model number, and pre-sales online at B&H Photo, Frys and Adorama. All three online vendors listed the model number as 16gb. B&H's pre-sale price is $249.00 and the other two vendors are charging 99 cents more for their pre-sales.
I hope this puts some minds at ease.

Lets Talk orders delayed and cases not till Mid May...

I just galled in to get an update on my order status as it is no longer able to be checked via the lets talk website. I was going to find out when it would arrive and then see if I could get a phone locally and cancel my pre-order. The recording when you call says there are now further delays with the 32gb and 64gb developer editions, didn't say anything about carrier specific models and I didn't get through to anyone.
The message also said the double dip free cases are on backorder until mid may as well so you will not have something to protect your phone for the first few weeks if you get one from them.
Just a heads up.

If you need something just for the time being, I shared a link to a clear tpu case from handheld items dot com for $0.99 it just came yesterday. Shipped within 5 days. It doesn't seem half bad but hard to tell without a phone inside it. Later today I'll share pics and more details.

I actually got a hold of someone and my order is scheduled to be received on Monday as scheduled. She didnt say anything about the case so I guess we will see when I get the confirmation on the shipment.

I just cancelled my order and went into my local best buy, they had lots of silver and black ones available and in stock so I just picked one up and will order a case online from Amazon.

From what I seen, its $199.99 with contract and $699.99 w/o. I also did not see that they had any black versions out and from what I know, noone will for some time.

lol we're bouncing back and forth thru threads to see the best Right Now price in a walkin/walkout scenario

It was the 199.99 for me with upgrade and was 699 without.
I had them open a black and a silver so I could hold the real phones next to each other and see which I liked more. Not sure why I feel this way but, the black just looks too much like other phones on the market so I wanted to go with the Silver.

This is confusing. It appears to invalidate the extension they already put out on the trade up offer. This says you have to have bought the one between the 2nd and 5th. What happens to someone like me who bought on the 1st?

Don't you love how they offer you a 'deal' for preordering but 2 weeks later they offer a better deal you don't qualify for?
Anyway, I ordered one for my dad 2 days ago which will be delivered today and here I discover this promotion that starts today. I emailed them asking if he can qualify because this offer will buy his EVO 3D for 100 bucks, which is more than I expect him to get from craigslist.

I went to the HTC site and put in my old phone details so I could see how much I would get. I used the promo code "HTC100" as directed. I put in all my info for the trade in phone and it said I could save the info and they would send an email with a link to get back and finish the process after buying the phone.
After I went and got the ONE, I got the email and it had a personal ID # and a link to continue but it just takes me back to the original site that wants me to input all the info again. The instructions in the email say that the link is supposed to take you to a page where you can input the personal ID# that they sent me. I don't see anyplace to do this and unfortunately the HTC100 code only works once so I can't even start over.
Anyone else have any experience with this?

I had the same problem and eventually went to a different browser with that same link. I also started all over and ended up with a different personal id# for the same info/phone trade in.

On that same page look up at the top at Status/Login.
Click that and enter your estimate ID.

Wife and I just got $100 each for our old Heros we had lying around. For once, as a consumer, I feel I like the big corporation is the sucker and not me. Thanks HTC.

Thanks but they sent me a "personal ID#" not an estimate ID#. The personal ID didn't work in the login.
I sent a comment to their support. Hopefully I'll get a reply before the weekend is over (yeah, right).
At least Sprint will give me something for my EVO 4G LTE if this craps out, just won't be as much.

I like this watch a lot. But I like a lot of first gen, poorly received consumer electronics.

Yes, Microsoft "sells out" of the Surfaces. Microsoft did the same things with Zunes.

I currently own a Surface Pro. (It's fantastic.) I used to own a Zune. (It was the best PMP.)

exactly! This is unacceptable. T-Mobile should honor all of the purchases. I wouldn't mind waiting a month if I came to me at the 209.99 promo price. I placed my order tonight using some new promo for 30pct off, Card has been charged and order confirmed. I hope I get mine!

Unless Samsung only manufactured a limited amount of these things and carriers will not be replenishing their stocks. On the launch day of the Note 3, the store I went to only had two. I was not looking to get one anyway because I have heard mixed reviews but if they pursue a second generation version of the watch maybe this time they will get it right.

I had to select HTC>HTC One (not M8) and then select "Connect & Dock" to see it come up. Regularly $89.99, discount of $70 due to it being on clearance.

This may be a stupid questions - Are we sure it would work well with the M8? Wonder why they'd give such a deep discount for a product that's ALSO compatible as an accessory with their new flagship device.

So I confirm that was a dumb questions to ask (apologies).. went and confirmed on HTC's website.
Now here's some new info though - I tried to place the order online three times and every time I got an error message that said "something went wrong"... lmao... I'n not joking... screenshot attached... So I finally picked up the phone and placed an order on phone which presented it's only challenges since the lady wasn't willing to give me a discount initially.. she said it was a web only offer.. and then I had to explain to her that my preference was to purchase it over the web except their system wouldnt let me and so finally she had to match the online offer... yay! :highfive:

I have one, i couldn't even get it to connect after the first time lol. Compression is also pretty noticeable compared to wired mhl.

Tried it four times via the website and each time "We're sorry, Something happened while processing your order. Please try again."
So I called the 'Order by phone' number, this number for me -> 1 866 866-7509
I explained that I am not a Sprint customer, but I was trying to purchase the accessory and got an error.
The gentleman went through and got all my information, but at the recap of the order he told me the shipping was $12.50.
I asked if there were other shipping options, as the website told me 6.50 for shipping. He told me this was the only option and recapped the order again. I was about to stop him, when he said "So with the accessory, the local tax, and shipping the total will be $21.67."
I was confused and thought he forget the shipping in the math, but I didn't care and just let it go through.
Well, I just got the confirmation email, I paid a total of $21.67. Somehow I got free shipping.
Checked the bank to confirm. Guess I got lucky somehow!

happened to me also....online was charging me for shipping and when i called they said it was free.."$19.99

Is this a good device? I have a chromecast and love it, so don't really have a need for this.

I am curious as to whether or not it's going to work this way, but for the HTC One X and the HTC One it did screen mirroring. I don't think the chromecast does that, but I could be wrong.

i sold my chromecast screw that thing!!! media link for the win....and with media link...ya dont need wifi..it can hook up to the phone over 3g 4g...
