Can anyone help me to uninstall CWM? - LG Optimus Black

Can anyone help me to uninstall CWM? I would like to return my recovery to stock (v30b/c). Can anyone provide a completely stock recovery.img or flashable zip for me to uninstall CWM? Thanks for your attention.:good:

I'm not sure if this is possible, but the quickest way for the moment would be to reflash with 30B binaries. they aren't patched so you'll get a complete stock system

Well it is possible, the question is only: what for? You cant install cwm on stock v30. Did you brick your phone or what?

package_extract_file("recovery.img", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p4");
It will be just minutes to NOOBY to create the zip. But yeah, why you want it?

The zip is going to be created? I hope it will be a stock kernel. The reason is so odd. It is because there is a game which cant run on a phone with installed cwm (I've checked) but I would like to play it. Although I know SmartFlashTool can flash stock rom, it is hard to change things in the rom. Thank for attention and replies.

I'm new to the Vibrant. I'm coming from a mytouch slide. What exactly does this do? I'm downloading JK6 to my computer so I can flash it. What does the modem do?

My first impressions with the JK6 modem is that it is MUCH more consistent with data than the JK2 modem was.
Awesome! I was going to ask you if you could pull it and post the modem file in the JK6 thread, but no need. Thank you sir!
this is mainly for Data/Signal reception.
i have slow 3G sometimes so im gonna try this and see.

No, you have to be rooted, even for cwm to work. So root your phone, download clockworkmod, save this modem file to your internal sd card, then flash it via cwm.

He's right you know...he isn't being a smart ass.
I NEVER root after I flash back to stock before flashing something new. I keep the update.zip that contains CWM Recovery on my SDCard and simply use ADB to enter recovery and than re-install packages. Voila. No Root, but I have CWM recovery. It saves a lot of time when flashing back to stock than flashing a new ROM.

It should have rebooted right to recovery. If not, just download something like either QuickBoot or ROMManager and hit reboot recovery. There you gotta flash superuser.zip. Just read my noob how to (how to root GB).

Yes it is safe, you only need to flash superuser.zip, once you are in the cwm recovery and then you're rooted it's only patched with cwm.

Download any kernel + twrp (thunderzap / cocore-e / siri) for JB. Then, use universal kernel flasher (frapeti's app) to flash it. Reboot. Then you get your twrp. Btw, please read in the threads general / Q&A sections. Also when you download frapeti's UKF from market..there's a link to the original thread.
Download goomanager from the play store. Open it and pres the menu button, you should get an option that says "install open recovery script". Click it, it will download the latest version and install it

i suggest stay with stock firmware first.. familiarize it..
if time that you had enough with stock.. you can try custom roms..
read and learn first how to root, custom recovery, deodexed.. etc..
before doing some advanced tweaking on your device..
Yup. Download the rom. Place the zip file in ext sd. Make all wipes then install by using twrp/cwm recovery. Make backup first.

Just make a nandroid backup on boot partition. That'll backup your stock kernel. By that you could restore it back if you want. You can easily do that with TWRP recovery. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

You're correct. But because of some sort of bug in TWRP, I'm unable to restore from the backup that I made. So I'm looking for a link to the stock kernel.
