[APP] StatusbarToggle | Toggle (show/hide) Status Bar for Honeycomb ROMs

If you use a Honeycomb ROM on your GTablet, you would have noticed that the bottom status bar in Honeycomb is persistent and no app seems to be able to get rid of it. Well, this is a feature of Honeycomb which allows you to use a device without hardware button for function like "Back", "Home", "Menu", etc.
For many users, this "persistent status bar may not be a problem. But if you feel like that status bar is "cramping your style" (perhaps you have a movie scaled perfectly for the GTablet and you want to watch it in it's full screen glory) and you know that the GTablet hardware buttons gets you where you want to go, you now have a way to getting rid of that status bar.
dima_tr @ TabletRoms has developed a small app which toggles (show/hide) the Honeycomb status bar at will. He has shared this app along with the source code at TabletRoms (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=App-to-toggle-Statusbar-in-Honeycomb-works). I have merely mirrored his work here in an attempt to share this with the community here at XDA.
Once installed, this app does not create any icon in the launcher. To use this app, you have the long-press the "Search" button". Upon doing so, you will see a pop-up with a list of apps with "Statusbar Toggle" as one of the apps (see the first screenshot below for an example). Selecting Statusbar Toggle will toggle on/off the status bar. You may choose the make this the default action for the Search button long-press action.
As of Flashback Alpha 7.1, this app is included in the ROM update zip.
IMPORTANT:
Please note that this app requires "root" permissions since it does something which is not exposed by the "official Honeycomb API" (i.e., it is not something Honeycomb ROMs allow developers to control).
This is a Honeycomb specific app and will not work on other versions of Android.

Though I have personally tested and used the app on Flashback 7.0 and GTabComb 3.3, I (or the developer) take no responsibility in the unlikely event that your GTablet blows up and wipes you clean off the face of the earth. Use at your own risk. Have fun!!

I am on Flashback 7.1 and it works the first time, but after that it brings up a blackscreen with StatusBarToggle across the top, and the statusbar at the bottom. I am not locked but have to hit home to get out of it and the statusbar is always there. As I said it is gone the first time, and if I go in to settings and applications and clear the default settings it works the first time again.

Great theme! Best Android L theme yet!
Only bug I see is in the quick settings. The picture of my account on the quick settings, some of it is cut off, but works fine on my phone. I have two screenshots to show what I'm talking about.
Also I can't swipe down from the right on my tablet to access my quick settings, but on my phone it works. Just something I noticed.

Found a bug though. On Superuser menu, the apps name is not visible.

The only issue I see is the toggles aren't round, they are a bit on the oval side. Other than that, perfect :3.

Thank you for this theme! Definitely one of the best ones. However, there is one really annoying bug. Menu button seems to be randomly appearing between the virtual buttons, and then simply stays there in all the screens and apps until the phone is rebooted. (screenshots)

How do I get the statusbar to be the same color as the actionbar?

Your Rom is great but sorry, this mod makes it look so ugly. The netspeed is colored and the clock is weirdly big and i find no way to uninstall it. Then i have to reflash the rom just to get rid of it. Definitely not my taste, i mean no offense. Other than that, your rom is great! Thank you.

Description:
There are 5 widgets in the application, there is no application interface itself.
2 widgets - transparent widgets, for locking the screen by double-clicking and single-clicking, respectively. (arbitrary size).
3 widgets - widgets in the form of a lock of different colors, for locking the screen by pressing. (1x1).
Tap on the application icon also blocks the screen, this was done for the general style under "Thematic icons", android 13 (Pixel)
Instruction:
1. Install the application.
2. Open system settings /Accessibility/DoubleTapWidget
warning will be issued,
press "OK".
3. Open system settings / applications / find in the list DoubleTapWidget / Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner - "Allow settings changes", will ask for a password.
4. Again we go to point 2, but now you can activate the toggle switch
5. Go to the home screen, open the list of widgets, and select the desired widget.

it works very well.

Works perfectly on pixel 4a 5G, android 13.0.0 (TQ1A.230205.002)

Made an account just to comment. Downloaded this for pixel 7 pro after having problems with play store apps and not needing/wanting a whole new launcher like Nova premium. Checks clean on virus detection site.
Love all the widget options, particularly the invisible ones, can be changed to any size, added to the bottom corner on two different home screen pages. DoubleTap off really makes using the phone a satisfying experience. Much appreciated!!!
