I've been trying to flash my Droid 4 using RSD Lite 5.7, but it keeps failing. After doing some digging I think I've narrowed the problem down to a driver issue, but I'm not 100% certain. When I boot my phone into fastboot and connect it to my computer, the device manager on windows 7 lists my phone as "Mot Single ADB Interface" under "ADB Interface". Is that how the device is supposed to show up?
that is how it should look
try reinstalling rsd lite, disabling virus protection, or just use droid 4 utility

Rootz Wiki has posted the SBF File for .604
SBF File
Awesome news!
Thank you for this great news.
Any proof that this .sbf can work with RSDLite or we must do a little modification on .ini file?
If so, can someone make a tutorial of it?

I didn't test the file. I am just passing along info that I know a lot of people have been waiting for.
From what i understand, and i have not tested it yet, this" should" work with rsd. Id love to know if anyone has any feedback!

Droidmodderx from YouTube will fix you up. It's really simple. Hope you find what you need there.

Why in development?
Did you turn on Usb Debugging in your phone settings?
I would generally have better luck recognizing my device when installing drivers on new computers with USB debugging disabled first, then re-enable it. Also with USB connected & drivers installed, go thru all the USB modes available cuz each have different drivers to be recognized (& depending on the root method you're using, the driver may not have been recognized yet, like adb services...)

I found it was my usb cable. Something defective about it. Tried another and worked like a charm.

I've been trying to do the OTA update and can't. I've uninstalled recovery, uninstalled safestrap, updated my SU, unfroze all apps, and downloaded voodoo. Well after I think 7 attempts of this I decided to switch methods and do it through fastboot. Well I can't get fastboot to actually stay open on my computer to accomplish this. I have tried to figure that problem out too no help there. I'm assuming I deleted something before I froze the apps that isn't allowing me to do the update. Is there any solution to all this? Especially getting fastboot to work. Also in safestrap the first time I flashed something to my safe system it worked fine. After that regardless of what I did I could never get another rom to work. Everything else just sent it into a black screen forever.
What are you using to try to fastboot? RSDlite or jsnweitzel's Droid 4 tool?

I would try using the Droid 4 Utility. I successfully fastbooted GB a while back using it. Also, make sure you have the latest moto drivers installed.

Yeah I just did that. It worked took a couple minutes but I'm all updated now.

Okay so I am on my 3rd Droid 4, on 4.1.2 JB . All of my previous 4's were rooted. I used the Droid 4 JB Utility & I took all necessary preparations. I factory reset my phone, have USB Debugging enabled, have updated drivers, and i keep getting the same message. I get to Phase 2 of the process, otherwise known as the Smart Actions step. Once I turn on battery saver and I press Enter to continue, nothing happens. I have even left my PC for a little bit to see if anything would happen, but to my dismay, nothing. Do you guys know what the problem may be? any help is appreciated. thanks in advance. My SmartActions app is version 4.2.2.4.2

You need to use the Jelly Bean utility by mattlgroff. It's in the dev section.

When I try to install the Kindle fire ADB driver, at the very end, I get a dialog saying the driver did not install properly, or I need to reboot. I reboot and plug my kindle in, and I see the ADB driver show up in device manager. However, adb devices does not recognize it.
The EXACT same file and installation on a different computer worked perfectly fine. Both are Windows 8.1. Any suggestions to get it working on the other (newer) laptop?
My Nexus 5 is recognized by BOTH laptops via adb by the way.
I think you need to turn off driver signature verification. .

Well, a few things. I don't get an error about the driver signature. 2nd, it installed perfectly fine without any disabling on my other laptop. 3rd, I actually tried that already, it makes no difference - driver installs, I get an error, and ADB doesn't work.
I don't have windows 8 so I'm shooting from the hip. Try using other USB ports. If that doesn't work, you could try the version of adb in my signature and see if that works.

No problem, I appreciate the help. I tried both USB ports already as well (I'm not one of those people who posts on the first failed attempt, I literally tried everything I know). I've also tried the universal ADB drivers, no help.
I'll check out your version of ADB, though I think it's something with the driver and/or installation process. It's just odd that my Nexus 5 connects to ADB fine.

You must disable MS driver security or you will not be able to install the drivers manually which you need to do (at this point. Use Stunts modified drivers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459498

I had a similar issue with the adb that was included with the binary root. It would never see my device, but the older adb version saw it just fine. I had to replace the adb files in the binary root with the ones from the Kindle fire utility (1st Gen Kindle tool).
