Hello there, again :laugh: . I have something new you guys/girls TWRP TOUCH RECOVERY. After alot of nights of testing, retesting, failing, refailing and almost bricking my device i finally managed to get it working on our lil TASS.
Right now the recovery is STABLE. But again
REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND YOUR WARRANTY IS NOW VOIDED!!!

recompiling...fixed zip installs, backups. Restore backups still bugged, dont restore the backup it will make your system corrupt.
the problem now is the theme, we need a themer who can resize the gui for LDPI 240x320...this is good not only for mini, but also for all LDPi devices...

I have no idea how many LDPI phones are out there with TWRP project, but it might help. How many themes you want to resize? I'm not a themer, just interested...

there are not many, and the only theme for LDPI (is from a sony of some sort) and it has some bugs...and i want to resize just one, the stock one so maybe we can make the recovery official
If you guide me to the stock theme i think i can resize it.

If I'm not mistaken, as flashing zips work, I can also flash back to CWM without Odin if I have a problem. So I will try this...

Just flashed it. Nice job!
No bugs so far, but don't take my word for it since I only played around with it for five minutes.
Noticed so far:
1. Very quick to exit recovery and reboot into the system (less than a second)
2. A lot of customizations and nice interface
I love it! Finally someone did.
The other day, I was thinking of compiling CWM 6 Touch from source but I guess I don't need it now

hey it rebooted in the middle of a backup(that backup was like 200 mb). now it can't backup anymore. it can't create folder sdcard/ (text cuts off)
edit: reflashing recovery. rebacking up. seeing what happens
wierd... its says my sd-ext is 0 mb. i use link2sd and i definitly have stuff on my sd-ext

This is due to our phone's screen size. I guess Ron can fix it while building, it needs some xml edits
Is it as stable as CWM 5.0.2.0? What are the added features? Need your suggestions as I never used any other recovery other than CWM.

Your welcome! I made a port for my tablet and loved it so decided to make one for my phone! Lol the sdcard is not mounting/ showing up, shouldn't be too difficult to fix as cm10.1 looks like it has it fixed, same with the long press recents, should be easy fixes

Yes I will post new zips as I fix things, you can try to just flash over 2.54 but I would recommend a full wipe

Are you using a 4.2 compatible recovery? I referenced this in the OP as it is extremely important to use a 4.2 recovery and I recommend twrp but you can check out the cwm files posted here if you prefer.

your backups should be there to restore as usual...
On a lighter note, External SD temporary workaround: remove and reinsert microsd and then run this :
su
Mount -rw -t fat32 mmcblk1p1 /storage/sdcard1
In either an adb shell or terminal emulator. For some reason card is inaccessible after boot until it is reinserted, then once mounted it works perfectly. Will add to OP
It doesn't matter I have gone on to cm10.1 till this rom becomes a little more stable. One thing I did notice with my short time using the rom was that the signal strength was very deceptive I could barely do anything where normally I could make calls etc. Tried changing ril but to no avail. Is this something that needs fixed?

I'm mainly doing chatting with messages so I need to delete old messages (need only to keep some special messages by locking them)
in the stock rom and in some custom roms there is an option to delete old messages automatically and lock important messages, I would be be really grateful if you can create a small mod or patch for this :victory::victory::victory::victory:

Im sorry i want this to be close to stock
Just use the messaging app from that rom that has it
This rom is great if u are just going to chat as its pretty fast with not many useless stuff

As a result of trying to compile Omnirom for Galaxy Ace, i got the TWRP recovery (needed to fix some things in onmiarmv6 sources to get a working TWRP
Warning : Only works on Cyanogenmod/Omnirom based roms, IT WON'T WORK ON STOCK BASED ROM'S, i have just warned you !

Hmm didnt tested on older cm versions.
But if someone tested it plz report back
I think you must flash kernel after restoring twrp backup. There is same issuie as on previouse version. TWRP cant find /boot and /recovery partition.

This caused me to go on a little adventure and figure out how to flash a ROM without a recovery at all. Managed to flash omni-4.4.2-cooper-NIGHTLY-PS completely via ADB.

I'm stuck on bootloop why? I follow the instructions exactly but I'm stuck. should I not install kernel?
Go to cwm
Wipe data/reset
Wipe cache
Go to mounts and storage format system go back go to advanced wipe dalvik cache and battery stats again go to mounts and storage mount data/system/cache if already mounted unmount and remount them
Flash the kernel that given with the rom in this thread again head for mounts and storage remount data/system/cache as i said earlier
Flash rom file
After completed flashing again remount data/system/cache
Reboot
It will work

Wipe Dalvik (No battery stats)
Unmount then Remount Data/system/cache
Flashed Kernel
Unmount/remount again
Flashed Rom
Unmount/Remount.
I am using the Repacked firmware Open Australia from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840645
yet I'm still stuck in Boot logo.
Change the firmware to XXLA1

is using wrong CWM
you have to use the vercion 5.0.2.8
