What about getting the working version of facebook home for Xperia z with complete guide.
Today is 12th April launch date of the same.
I am sure someone will have an idea.
Note:
i tried the 3 files way but they didnt workd at all. so looking for a concrete solution.
Did you manage to sort this out?
Just downloaded the leaked file however it would appear that Facebook have turned something off which stops the leaked build being recognised by Facebook when you log in.
Shame, fancied trying that too.

Facebook Home isn't supported by the Xperia Z, yet. Devs could port, but not as of this moment.

Hi, I'm using Xperia TX with .197 firmware (unlocked BLoader). I noticed that after downloading images from the internet to my phone, the "album" didn't show those new images. I had to reboot the phone for them to show up. Is there any way to make the library auto-update or any magic button to update it?
:fingers-crossed: Thanks

Have you tried stopping the app, then relaunching it? I believe this will force a media rescan.(settings, apps, force stop)

thank you Baz, for reminding me of this workaround, I haven't seen this problem since my x10 days.
But it feels weird to be doing that everytime I download media from the net. It's a $500+ phone after all. Do you have this problem at all or is it just me?

I must admit I have not tried it yet, but I did notice that when I deleted a few images I had on my ext sd card they still showed up in album, perhaps it is unavoidable, otherwise media's scan would have to run constantly!?

Does anyone encounter applications being forced close eg; Gmail, Instagram and returning to the homescreen? I bought it today here in Thailand but the device itself was imported from Singapore. PS, it's C6603 running 10.1.A.1.350 guessing to be Singaporean firmware.
About Gmail problem, I think this problem is causing from the content inside your email. Some can be opened and some cannot (which the problem I found were mostly on email that contained Thai language and any email with attached files).
This should be a firmware or gmail app problem. Hope they will release a fix as soon as possible though cuz I got a serious problem in checking my mail while away from the office. :'(
I have no issue with Instagram so far. My advice is to try to change the display language to English. Hope this help !

Thanks for answering! Anyway, I already changed the system language to English(UK) but the IG still to be the same. Do you think flashing Xperia Z (C6603) 10.1.A.1.350 Original Sony Unbranded UK Rom will solve this problem?

in my opinion;
if after returning to home screen thr s no lag and problem with home screen animation and it works smoothly
so force closed is because of applications
(however not see yet force close in gmail and etc.)
and just say about settings
any change in stamina ! or developers option?

No, I didn't touch any of that.
You have to try a factory reset or repair via pc companion.

I did try a factory reset including set the system language as English since the first boot but the problem still persists.
What language are you using?
Try the default English after resetting the phone.

I am in same situation as you. I bought the phone for 2 weeks in Thailand which imported from Singapore (C6603 running 10.1.A.1.350).
I have found the problem like you that Gmail close itself in some emails, but this problem not happen with Gmail only. I have a problem with Google Reader when I want to read details in the reader from Sony Xperia Z (It is just happen in some page with Thai content.), I get a blank screen flash quickly on the screen then it goes back to the reader page. It is happen to Flipboard, GReader and Socialife too. I have tried to factory reset but It's can't solve any problems.
This is example pages that I have found problems when open from google reader.
(Sorry I cannot post outside links.)

I don't know how to fix it. :crying:
I confirmed that this problem happens with others application such as Socialife, or Email app too.
Most of Thai people are currently using XZ C6603 from HK or SG so I think this problem is probably in Firmware or the application and not with the phone itself.
I also tried factory reset 2 times already without touching anything in setting. ( Just add my gmail account and try check the email after reset )
As there is no solution to solve this problem now, I'll just wait to see if this problem still exist in 4.2.2 which Sony should be release soon.
For now, I would suggest that you open Gmail via Google Chrome Browser.
Perhaps, it should be fixed by 4.2.2 with in this month.
Report the issue to Sony.
I don`t wanna open new topic, so I will just reply here. I have same problem with Instagram. Just made an PC Companion repair and it is still same (FW .434). After trying to refresh in news, app just close it self and I am moved to homescreen. It is single app installed from fresh repair. I thought first that problems were with smaller soft buttons, then I though it is problem cuz of root, but now I see that problem is still there...
EDIT:
I found solution for Instagram. Problem starts with version 3.5.x (3.5.1 - 3.5.3). I downgraded to 3.4.5 and now it`s fine, no more FC.
Can anyone who has an HSBC account try the HSBC app and see if it crashes right away?
Yes mine crashes as well. Just says service unavailable.

Looks like it might be an issue with 4.1.2 as it's happening for a guy with an xperia Z
Mohan Babu - March 16, 2013 - Version 1.1.49
Sony xperia Z
App does not work it throws up the error with "Service Unavailable Unable to connect. Please try again later" Problem with app and raised as issue with HSBC and still no luck. Please correct the below statement For Android - any device running Operating System version 2.2 and higher.
'Service Unavailable' here as well.
Same problem here on Xperia Z
I can open the app on a nexus 4 and it is all ok =/
I had a similar issue with another banking app on my HTC ONE, lots of people reported they couldn't access it on the HTC ONE (Not sure if it's down to 1080p resolution)... seems some apps don't like playing ball yet.
Hi, my mom just got an HTC first, which is running stock android 4.1.2. Everything is working great, except that instant upload is not syncing back to her stock photo gallery. She has Google+ installed and instant upload turned on, and that is all working perfectly. She has a nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2 and the photos she takes on her phone are syncing to her tablet perfectly, but they are not syncing back to her phone. Everything in her Google account is set to sync. I have Force stopped/Cleared Data and cache in the gallery app, but nothing I do gets is to work. I even had her add my dads google account to her phone (set only to sync Google photos), hoping that would force something to work, but his photos are not syncing to her phone either. Please help. I just finally got her to get an android phone because of all the awesome features it has, (Instant upload/Gallery sync being one of them), and it stinks that one of the best features is not working.I know she can access the photos through Google+, but its so much more convenient to have them in your gallery. Thank you for your help...
Does anyone else have this issue? Got my wife the same phone, and the issue is the same. Even if you don't have a solution, please reply with a, "yes I have the issue", or "no, it works for me.” I'd appreciate it.

Same thing here. I just bought the HTC First primarily for the stock android, and now the gallery app doesn't work with Google Photos...
It's weird that it is definitely connected to Picasa, as it can upload pictures to albums.
New stock app fixes this issue
The updated 4.3 Gallery/Camera stock app which was just leaked fixes this issue. It will now properly sync with Google Photos and display all your albums. The camera app is also spiffier as a nice bonus! :good:

Yeah, haven't had time to update, but... What he said! Δ I installed with no problems at all.

Everything seems to be working fine now on my phone. Finally figured out how to update my firmware. A couple of things that I noticed are:
1 - When touching a Facebook link on Blinkfeed, its does not take you to the post on your Facebook app anymore.
2 - The gallery app does not show pictures and videos for any online services. It only displays what is actually in your gallery. Before the update you would be able to see pictures from Facebook and other services. I have fixed this issue on my phone by just swapping the gallery app back to the version in Android 4.1.2. You can still select a track from your music library to use with a Zoe.

1. I get the same thing.
2. Not sure about that.
I haven't updated to 4.3 yet and I'm not able to go to a facebook link from blinkfeed. I think it may be something with facebook itself because it's been freezing up a lot for me lately as well.

I'm not sure if its an issue that came with the update or if they are just a couple of bugs from being rooted.

I am also on Facebook beta and the last update seemed to break this. I was not working before or after the update.
I guess one way to test this is by getting a non beta version of the Facebook app.
I was on Facebook beta and this broke before I even updated the phone to 4.3 It's a Facebook issue. I ended up leaving the beta, and I also did a factory reset of my phone because some FM radio service kept crashing when I was in the music player and it got irritating. Facebook works fine for me now.
