Power Button + Vol- Button
Sorry if that isnĀ“t that do you say C:

Rom is Android revolution + sense 3.0 parts flashed on.
Edit: the problem was with sense roms. Just turn off fast boot under power settings and it's good to go.

Have you tried disabling fastboot ??
If not uncheck fastboot option in Settings - Power - Fastboot and give it a go.

Your the man. I'll try that
Edit : that worked. I wonder what the fast boot actually does?

Fastboot makes it so your phone kinda goes into heavy sleep mode. It shuts down and boots up a lot quicker. As it doesn't need to fully load HTC sense and other apps.

So it eats battery when you turn it off?

Yes it is like hibernate mode on a laptop. It uses some battery to preserve the hibernates state, but not as much as in normal sleep mode.

[Q] recovery

It is me or it's really hard to get into recovery on the new 4.2.2 through the phone?!
I was so excited to get it on my phone that I forgot to flash root. The power button turns on the phone too fast to catch the vol down. Has anyone gotten through ? Hahaha

For some it is. Happened to me. i had bootloop. Had to connect it to a windows computer (im usually on mac) and erase cache via adb..
Yea I'm nowhere near a computer so I'm gonna have to wait so yea. I can probably do it if I do it really fast. Another thing I noticed that a simple press of the power doesn't turn it on like before too

Try powering of the phone then press and hold the vol up button and then press the power button whilst holding vol up.
This should hopefully allow access to recovery.

Switch to TWRP...
No power button necessary

The vivid is extremely easy to disassemble, remove the plastic frame, and use your finger or a paperclip to press on the actual power button.
try to do
adb reboot bootloader
It takes you directly to fastboot and you can flash whatever you want without the power button.
Actually you need the power button to make selections in fastboot...
