Whenever I pust the phone in stamina mode, I used to get the little icon with the hands holding the battery. However now, for no apparent reason, it does not show in the status bar even though it is active. Any ideas?
Maybe you set up that it is activated when you battery reached a certain percentage.

I have the same problem. The estimated time will adjust accordingly but no icon comes up like before. I'm on .434 and I just uninstalled LightFlowLite for whatever that's worth. I had that app to try and force light notifications in stamina mode but didn't work. I am rooted with Locked BL.

Got my Xperia Z sim free on Friday. Everything was working fine initially but Stamina Mode just doesn't seem to be working properly now. Don't know if it's a software or hardware problem?
When I press the toggle, the standby time left doesn't change at all? And the figure it gives seem permanently low. I've charged it fully overnight and it says standby time left is 8 hours? That said when I have left it in Stamina Mode its told me on a couple of occasions that certain apps are preventing it from working properly (Google Sync etc) but it'd be nice to know if it was working.
Any ideas?

Some problem here... So probably is a bug on the firmware. On the 4.2.2 probably will be fix
Same problem here was fine on first day then went all odd.
Likewise
I'm also seeing this problem. In addition it appears the Google mail client which was getting mails by push due to it being white listed in the stamina application list have also stopped coming through when the screen is in standby. Be good to see what that the situation is.
Same.... Stamina mode takes a while to update the standby from memory. I
white listed gmail and stopped getting mail. Maybe it's just not that clever or as data is off it can't truly be white listed.

Same as of today.
Standby time has no change with toggle on or off.
Showing 14hrs off full charge.
Cleared everything out of stamina mode & reset defaults on all apps but no change.
Don't fancy doing a factory reset yet so I'll lurk here & see if it gets resolved any other way.
Same here.. But im guessing the stamina mode takes the avg time of our usage too, being a new toy we use it alot.. Hence the total time is from our usage... Only my humble opinion thou
My stamina mode seems to be working again. Yesterday it stopped and would show the same figure regardless of whether on or off. Woke up this morning, now on 75% it's showing 15hours on, 8 hours off. But nowhere near the 4 days I was getting on 90% when I first got it.
No issues here with stamina mode. I'm not sure yet if it makes a difference, but at least it's working

Stamina Mode is buggy as hell, done a few tests and with it on my mail doesnt come through even though its white-listed. It only stops notifications coming though, it doesnt turn the data off like it says it does. Hope 4.2 fixes these problems.
My stamina mode seems to be working again, bugy things :highfive:

Same here. I also have Exchange (Hotmail push) that is "preventing stamina mode from saving power"
Does anyone know whats going on here with this notification?
I didnt quite get the idea of Stamina.
Was it supposed to disable data when screen off?
or just prevent apps from using data but keeps the data connection alive?
Something is seriously wrong with this software!
I have already made a reset and a repair of the phone and everytime the result is the same...
In the first couple of days stamina is working right, after the second day (third day at the most), it stops working!
Anyone knows how to fix it?
I've thought I was the only one having this kind of issue... Well the same thing happened to me. The strange fact was, that stamina mode stopped worked after I've rooted the device. I was thinking the r00t made the stamina mode doesn't work. I guess I was wrong... Stamina mode was the coolest feature on this phone - it will be sad if we can't use it
Out of the box my stamina mode was showing 30+ hours on & 20+ off.
2 weeks later it's now showing 18 on & 12 off on a full charge.
F***ing thing!
.
Guys, you should try the Sony Update Service software - it helped me.
I got 20hrs. on average and Stamina mode not working, also that fast discharging with not entering Deep Sleep. All is fixed now when I have just re-flashed the stock ROM. (May be the Stock ROM downloaded through the Sony Update Service is somehow modified and not the same version I had on the phone initially).
how to fix the xperia z stamina mode
1.switch On the stamina mode and low battery mode
2.Connect the charger and charge your Xperia Z
3.Wait until it reach 100%
4.Check the stamina mode .....
It's happen for me.......:good:
Hello guys. Stamina mode doesn't seem to work efficiently for me because back to the days when I just received my new phone, it was like 3+ days of standby time. But now it doesn't do anything , in best case scenario stamina mode adds no more than 2 hours of stand time according to battery usage stats. I was told that stamina mode increases standby mode by at least 3 times of normal. What is the problem?
Maybe the battery has worn out?

Its a bug and the time it states is untrue.

my phone (434 fw) shows similar behavior...
at first, when i activated stamina mode ... it added like 24h to the estimated standby.
but now... nothing.
but i think it still does its job (shutting down wifi and all that) just doesn't show it
once i had a notification, that gmail would prevent stamina mode from working correctly...
I switched to the other email application then... don't know if it changes anything.
but still battery stamina is very OK...
love this phone!
I believe it automatically adjusts the time remaining according to your usage.

Stamina Mode is only affected by Reception, and apps installed/whitelisted. If it says 16 hours when you unplug the phone and the same when you turn stamina Mode off this is obviously wrong, the time calculated is meant to be standby time.

thr s another thread about it.
>>> Stamina Mode is learning from How u use ur phone; it s working properly and *4 battery life time.
thr s no big bug in it, it s about calculating estimated time in standby > According to how u use and how many apps u exclude.

Hello,
I have just left my phone yesterday night @ 12am (battery 87%) with Data OFF/Wifi OFF when i wake up in the morning @ 6.30 (Battery 77%) how ? is there any application through which i can monitor the services which actually eat up the battery ? Because i had no issues with Xperia Sola in my past at night it used around 1-2% maximum...with data/wifi off.
Please help...
Use better battery stats
This will show if app or android process is keeping phone awake.
Sent from my C5303 using xda premium
mine gives me 1.4% /hr drain with stamina mode on, i dont even have wifi/data turned on last night.
battery info shows a lot of awake time but the battery stat apps says the phone was in deep sleep 99.1% of the time
i am confused
You seem to have the same problem I describe here 3G and Battery drain
I haven't found any solution yet. Seems to be related to the "Cell Radio"... so, it must be a software problem. The only thing we can do is wait for a new upgrade of the Baseband software. Until that, i recommend you to use the "Only 2G" mode.
Greetings

Use GSM Only network. Turn on stamina mode. It will kill all apps without phone calls, sms, mss, and apps on whitelist.
It will also turn off wifi and data packages when screen is off BUT it will keep/hold your IP number, so when you wake up the phone you will have acces to internet immediately. Whit this options when i fully charge my device, at about 10PM i had 100%. I went to sleep, wake up at 5AM and I still had 100%.
WHen you only turn off wifi and data apps in background will be try to connect and work in background as well. Fact is that you will not recieve any MMS messages with Data OFF.
So. First of all. USE STAMINA MODE

Stamina isn't your solution. What makes Stamina Mode is stop data traffics and wifi, when the screen turns off. But you say that the battery drains happens even when you have data and wifi off. So... Stamina Mode will not help you much.

Help please, it's already half a year i had this problem, SUPERSTAMINA XSSM WAKELOCK ,and why no people or any helper on this forums wants to help me out?
It really works thanks for information... now my battery usage at night is just zero or 1% less. stamina mode reallys helps alot to conserve most out of your xperia battery
Good Day! Im xperia z1 user running on Android 4.3. I just wanted to ask why is my eco controller or the stamina mode looks buggy?
if im going to clear the cache, force stop my ecomode controller and restart my phone while my battery is in fullcharge I got 5days but suddenly when my battery down to 60% I got hours left only (9-12hours) then when I clear the cache and restarts my phone it will be back on 1day++ on 60% battery.
Is there any solution for this? BTW even when im in 4.2.2 I got this unreliable stamina mode. also my Xperia P having this issue. Is this normal?
The predictions of software like the Stamina mode are very unreliable after resetting them. The tool has no data to work with and so it uses a fall back value (apparently 5 days). Over time it collects more data of your usage, needed signal strength, ongoing push data transfer, whatever and gets more accurate.
Resetting the software won't increase your battery life, it will just delete all the usage data and the app will have to start from scratch.
I see, thanks for the response. I will just disregard the predictions of stamina mode. I was just too curious and sometimes questioning if stamina mode is real effective on all its features? Also sometimes I've try to turn it off the stamina mode at a certain battery level and then the predicted hours goes up, but when I turn the stamina mode on again the predicted hours goes down. So that was the time I've decide to clear data of ecomode controller to see the difference.

I've heard some say Stamina mode starts working as soon as you lock your phone and heard others say that it starts 15 minutes after you lock your phone. Does anyone know when Stamina mode kicks in?
This is my situation:
Cleared stamina mode data. Restarted phone.
Enabled Stamina mode
This is not connected to WiFi. It's all LTE only.
No apps is whitelisted, but I am still receiving gmail, epsn, and facebook notifications when the phone is locked.
My observation of Stamina mode. Doesn't immediately take effect after screen is off.
This is what I observed after playing around with Stamina mode on the Z3C. My build version is: 23.0.1.A.5.79 and running Android Version 4.4.4.
When you manually lock the screen it doesn't immediately go into stamina mode, and I can still receive data from all apps and get all notifications.
After about 5 mins of staying locked with no interruption from data received and notifications, Stamina mode will start working and only allow the allowed list of apps to receive data and display notifications. Another observation is that once Stamina mode is working as it should and one of the allowed apps wakes up the screen, Stamina mode will continue block any apps not listed as allowed to receive data and continue to work, which is PERFECT.
However, if any data is received between the time you lock the screen and the 5 min mark, notifications can keep coming from any app until the full 5 mins has gone through with no interruption from any apps data or notifications.
My question is why doesn't Stamina mode take effect immediately after you lock your phone and the screen is off? If it waits for 5 mins and data keeps coming every 1-4 mins, then Stamina mode will never be activated and the battery will drain as normal.
I think i read in the official Sony site that Stamina kicks in after 1 minute of locking the phone. I read so last month.

Looks like there is an article here: "Starting one minute after the screen has been turned off, data traffic is automatically blocked and background activities are prevented from waking up the system" I can't post a link yet since I'm new here, but Add http to this: developer.sonymobile.com/2013/04/03/how-sonys-battery-stamina-mode-works/
Hmmmm. Something must be wrong with my phone then.
I found out that Stamina mode will enable itself based on your usage history. See this article: talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Battery-time-and-enhancement-features/m-p/347874#U347874

I didnt read anything in there that suggests Stamina Mode turns on automatically. All they said was that the estimated usage will change based on your previous usage.
