Just wanted your opinions on what would be the best radio for jellybean.. am currently using lacoste rom with 19m radio...but the reception sucked so shifted to 24m radio.. thought would test that for a while and if not satisfied switch to the 11m
any thoughts would be appreciated!

I had good reception and call quality with gingerbread radios.. was wondering if its possible to flash gingerbread radio with a jellybean rom..the ICS radios work fine but will gingerbread radios?
I have the best experience with the 19_M.
If I am right, that is also the one HTC ships with it's ICS RUU.
I am currently on Szeszo's CM10 testing ROM and first thought that the 11_M radio was the best. But with that radio, I had very erratic behavior while in calls. Most of the time, the calling volume was very loud, even at the lowest setting. As if I was always on speakerphone.
With 19_m, reception is just as good but without the erratic call volume.

11_M was the one that shipped with ICS. And you really need to test it out your self. Different radios will work better in some places while other radios will work better in other places. That being said, I was using 19_M and I had slightly lower signal than with 11_M but for me theyre pretty consistent most of the time.

How do you know if its necessary to update the radio?
Do you have bad signal?
I always like to have the latest and greatest. I figure Google have made some improvements in the newer radios they release. I have heard, but not sure I believe, that in some instances and locations, people have had better performance with older radios. I have always noticed and improvement or no change at all.
I am currently using 4.06.00.12_7 and it has the best reception and performance for me so far.
Thanks for the help. My reception isn't bad but, looking at the coverage maps in my area, I think it should be better. I think I'll just stick with the radio I have though. One last question. When google starts with the OTA Froyo update, will the radio then also be updated?
Thanks again
Yeah most probably. The Froyo's that are circulating around has the radio while some are custom and gives you the option to install radio on the side. But most probably it will have a new radio.
Hi to all!,which is the last version for the radio?
Bootloader says that my radio version is 3.35.19.25

I believe the latest version is Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10 found in the Wildpuzzle thread among others.
and that radio works well with cyanogen roms???do you recomende to intall?
I can say it fixed my navi prob in cm 7 #17
Radio's are universal. Not confined to any particular ROM. The latest one is said to improve signal strength at the cost of battery life.
so if i dont have signal problems better stay with mine? how much difference of battery usage are we talking?
I personally have stuck to my old version (15.31), because, for me, Signal reception is fine, and, I dont use GPS at all, so, CM7's non functioning GPS is a Non-Issue for me.
The battery difference will be minimal. It's tough to put a figure here though. :/
how do u flash a new radio???
@3xeno... can i possibly help my prob of datanetwork??
So I'd really like to know people's opinions on the radios for the Nexus one and what people use. I am currently on 5.08.00.04 radio and I have tried the 5.12.00.08 as well. I think that the 5.08 works better for me at least. What are your opinions and what do you use? Also does it really matter which one you choose?
I'm on 5.12, works fine.
5.08 works fine on TMob USA for me.

Some people experience slower speeds with the "newer" radio. As the saying goes... newer isn't always better.
My N1 had 5.08.00.04 allready pre-installed and all is working perfect. I don't see why I should upgrade/downgrade
Yea I find the 5.08 radio works best for me I get better bandwidth overall and signal originally I was 4.12, just upgraded for cyanogen

Hi guys, was hoping for a little help here. I'm sure there are many HTC ONE users here from the UK, I'd like to know which radios are working best here in the UK, I'm currently on 3 Network, but have been experiencing poor mobile Internet signals recently and slow down load speed. HOPING that users of the HTC ONE in the UK could provide links to the best UK radio
i've been using the Google Edition radio and they all seem to be the same for me on Three. which one are you currently using?
I'm using the new GE radio and I think it's the best yet, here is a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342544
Currently using 4A.17.3250.14_10.39.1150.04L on O2.

I was having problems with the signal on my phone while making and receiving calls with the radio that came with the latest update so I first flashed the radio from the GE 4.3 rom and noticed an improvement and signal problems so I then did the full conversion to GE rom and firmware.

Yeah Nexus, same for me - Ive tried around 4 radios so far and to be honest, I dont notice a great change in reception or speed in any of them, at the minute im on Google Edition 4.3 4A.18.3263.15_10.38h.1157.04L, which I believe is the latest GE Radio, but had hellish problems with internet last night in a low reception area ( 1 bar ), mobile internet was on/off - on/off constantly , but could make phone calls fine, anyway guys thanks to all of you for your input and it may be worth posting links in this thread in future, just to keep us uk users running on the best possible radio/
thanks added to all who posted, cheers guys
@ maxal, may have to try a full GE Conversion , but love ARHD so much lol
Not sure if this has been posted or perhaps if this can start a whole thread on 100% working custom roms.
This may come off as a bit of a rant, and i am no begger nor a complainer.. but I have reach my wits end. This isnt some newb who has just been in the scene, I have been around since the G nexus and never ran into so many problem then with this phone. I am so tired of getting updates that hose roms.. or roms that need 3-4 band aides before its even usable. Rom/developers that dont even test for the phone that they are releasing for leaving us dependent on the care of the developer to take the time to fix said issues.. CAF roms that constantly lose LTE connections. NON CAF builds where we are lucky if GPS works and doesnt reboot our phones. I mean come on. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. What does it take for us to just get something that works? Does this mean we HAVE to use stock roms to achieve this or is it safe to say, with all the revisions, models, updates, that the lg g2 has been and will always be a lemon.
What is YOUR opinion on this? No one else feel the same way as I?
It just seems like enough is enough. I cant think of the last custom rom that wasnt stock based that wasnt 100% working for lg g2.
Can anyone recommend some custom roms asop or other that WORK out of the box, no special flashing, no special permission, JUST WORKS?!
Thank you for your time.
I have used Xdabebb's rom and other rom's that are based on stock rom's, they work great, while I had issues with CM/AOSP. The stock rom's are good enough for daily use.
I agree wholeheartedly. It is downright daunting, all the different roms out there and they all seem to have some sort of bug or function that doesn't work. As ECrispy said, there are some that are "good enough", I noted that you said that, rather than "great" or "perfect" or "very good". Is there a rom out there that's a bug-free, no compromise, light weight rom that's better than stock? I have my qualms with stock, but but but, everything works.
Which is the most stable stock rom? I need to reflash mine as I have been running on an old rom for about a year. Any suggestions?
I would be running the cloudy g4 stock rom, for the camera benefits and the fact that its not completely ugly like G2 stock. Except no matter how much I mess with it I cannot get all the verizon networking to function properly.
I'm on and older JackpotClavin cm build, I've been on his builds for a while
I just want awesome battery, performance, and camera without losing Android Pay

This. Right. Here.
I believe this is the issue that that caused the VS980 support to be dropped from CM. The last commit was something along the lines of "let's pull builds until someone figures out the RIL problems". I have been unable to find a CAF rom that will consistently connect to LTE like a stock based rom. I'm currently running GalacticStryder's PA build for VS980, it will keep a data connection (unlike other roms that will lose connectivity when switching from LTE>3g or wifi>LTE). Unfortunately, it doesnt like to switch back to LTE after dropping to 3g in a timely fashion.
Im currently using a g5 ported rom for g2, stock. So far, loving it.

Thanks.
I've been using CM13 for several days and one issue I had was the data not working. The automatic APN settings provided by CM upon connecting to the internet over the cell towers didn't work, so I simply deleted them all, manually input the APN values specific to my mobile provider (China Telecom) and then GSM+WCDMA as the preferred network type. You MUST know what network type and APN settings are required for your phone in order for you to get 3G or 4G data connection. The only small but minor issue is when you listen to music from the speaker, not using headphones, it's very low. Anyone who has a G2 knows that it has ****ty sound quality if you don't use headphones. On that note, WOW, the music player and equalizer on the new CM13 are amazing! This has now boosted the volume by at least 30-35% for me. The base and surround sound while using headphones is clean, crisp and clear. It blows away the sound quality using stock android 5.0.1
I can't stress that enough because I have dirt cheap headphones that now sound like they're moderately high quality because of that. As far as other bugs/issues, they're all very minor things which aren't very noticeable and don't affect the overall working condition of the phone. All-in-all I salute the CyanogenMod team for all of their efforts. Going from Android lollipop 5.0.2 with all of the bloatware apps, fast draining battery, and consistently slow performance of the phone, I can safely say I'm very satisfied with the transition.
