MMS not working on Virgin network Australia - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need help
I've flashed a new ROM tsunami 5.0 and I can't seem to be able to send/receive MMS. I've checked my APN setting...changed them to the APN settings on the virgin website. But still nothing. Any help

[Q] Bell: DarkRaider 1.5.4 S-On, No Mobile Data Connection

Hi,
I am running DarkRaider 1.5.4 on Kozmiks Rc1. My device is s-on.
Everything seems to be working well except that I cannot use my mobile network. The mobile data widget shows that I am connected, or at least trying to connect, but I am not able to access the internet, etc.
I'm pretty new here, so if this has been addressed previously I apologize. I looked.
Edit: Do I just need to s-off my device?
Thanks for your help.
Try reflashing Rom might help.

The APN for Bell in this rom is incorrect.
Try modifying a few spaces:
Port: 80
APN Type : <LEAVE THIS BLANK, remove anything written>
Authentication (If I remember well?) : None
Keep me on touch
Rebuilding DarkRaider from the Bell RUU. APNs will be fixed then.
Solved.
Wow! Thanks to everyone here at XDA for the quick and abundant help. I s-off'ed my phone, it didn't help. It was an apn problem afterall. All that was necessary was changing it to port 80. Works like a charm now.
Thanks a bunch.

+!! This worked for me. Can confirm that data is working, as well as MMS. Also, this was on version 1.5.5, so it looks like this is an ongoing issue.

[Q] 4.1.2 and 4G in Germany

Is there a fix for the 4G issue in 4.1.2? Maximum speed is H+
Rom: PandoriaM 3.6
Modem: XXALK2
Carrier: T-Mobile Germany
APN already reset. No change.

Try going to network mode, press gsm only wait 1 min or 2. Then restart the Phone, go back to network mode and press lte/gsm. If this doesn't help, deleted your APN and set it completely new, or try to flash another Modem

I'm having a similar issue. How do I delete the APN and set it up again? Or rather, what is the APN anyway? It has never been of any importance to me in over 2 years of custom roms.

For the explanation what the APN is you can use the web because my english is to bad for that Just this: If you want to use Data conection or send/receive mms, u need it.
Scroll down the notification bar and keep pressed the Data toggle or go to
Settings->more Settings(Point 4)->mobile networks(Point 2)->access points(Point3)
open it, press menue and select delete.
Search the web for the correct Carrier/Provider Data.
Mine works flawlessly on Pandoriam 4.0 and did also on 3.6
Just Google %insert_carrier% APN settings or alternatively call up your carrier and ask for them

[Q] i9305t mms problem

Hi
My 9305t running ripper rom v9 wont send or receive mms. I have tried all 3 telstra modems available via update me and also tried both samsung sms app and also go sms pro.
The mms sits trying to download before eventually timing out.
All other data/calls etc work fine.
Any ideas?
Sounds like an apn issue.
You need to either remotely or manually install the apn settings yourself or take your phone into your carriers store and get them to enter your apn settings again.

You could also try installing GoSMS and see if it will be able to send MMS. I had a similar situation and GOSMS was working well.

no 4G in any rom. why why?

So.. As per title.
I used to have 4G before I unlocked my bootloader and flash cm roms.
In any of the custom rom ( non stock), I don't have any 4G Settings for Internet. I tried manually enter 4G apn to phone, it also work as 3g. Showing h / h+ only.
So I decided to flash back to stock ROM and tried the in-built settings for downloading internet settings.
To my surprise, the APN is different from last time when I had my 3g, but they still works flawlessly. But no matter what, I just don't have any 4g network.
Any idea?
I'm currently using existenz with xz kernel.
Help please. Tia.
Flash stock tft,
Root,recovery,flash rom, and check again
