So i thought i would post this because i'm getting some different explanations depending on who i talk to so i rather get real world results. Let me know when you ordered the white one if you did and what the status of it so far. We have one guy on the forum that posted that he ordered it early on sunday and did in fact recieve confirmation that he did get it shipped.
I ordered it at 1pm CST and have it backordered and it is still that way today. I've called them and they said they have 2459 (exact number lol) coming but when i call another department they say they dont' know.
Let me know and hopefully we hear soon cause i reallllly want this.

Mine was ordered yesterday around 3pm est. It currently shows in processing but doesn't say backordered anywhere on the page. I'll probably wait until later tomorrow before I call and ask them what the status is.

I get an error saying that orders made within the last 24 hours may not be available. The link I have is for a business premier account so it may not show up on the regular site. Not really sure what's up. Either way I'm happy. I upgraded to my Inspire in Feb and was able to upgrade again now, so I can't complain. Even if I have to wait a few extra days to get it.

I am in the same situation, ordered yesterday at about 3:00 central and in the status on website is "processing'. Called HTC, They were useless.
I iwll post here when status changes.

mine was a premier order as well but you should still be able to check it. Let us know if it changes any time soon. I will be posting back later tonight with hopefully good news.
Yep, I'm back-ordered now. Trying to see if I can change it to the black one. I didn't really care either way which one I got, just picked the white one to try something different. Not sure if my company will be able to change it though.
I had ordered about a white one about an hour after the release on the premier site. I got the backorder status yesterday morning. I wanted white but being that i put a case on all my phones I cancelled the order and got the black one. If you cancel and make another order right away it will cancel the new order also as they have a 72 hour period for the first cancel to process. I had to call customer service and get it straight. My black one will be delivered tomorrow.

I ordered 2 online. One says processing(Even as of this post) and they flat out canceled the other one. After another member posted that the corp stores were doing the $99 i just went to the store and got them. I think they are back-ordered too.

Just called the local AT&T Service Center and they said the stores in the Chicagoland area will not carry the white. It is a web only offering according to the person I talked to.
I posted this in the other White Vivid thread but I figured I would update here as well.
My white Vivid went from back-ordered to shipped last night. It is actually in Atlanta now but won't be delivered until tomorrow. Maybe all the back-orders will start going through now.

Got mine today
Thanks for the info! I never got an email about my white one shipping, but I just tracked it via the regular AT&T order status website, Premier one still shows it as processing, but sure enough it also shipped out & is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

I never got a shipped email either, and even after FedEx picked it up, it took 24 hours for the status to change from processing to shipped. But mine still showed up on time on Wednesday.
I lucked out, my local Best Buy had a few Chromecasts in stock, and I was able to get one. I had to ask at the register though, as they had them stashed away in the back.
Also, my receipt did have the promo code for the three months of free Netflix streaming.
Watching a stream of the Super Series '76, Russian Red Army versus the Philadelphia Flyers on my television through the Chromecast right now. It's pretty nifty.
Now once I get the one I ordered from the Google Play Store, I'll have one for the television in the basement too!
My local best buy said they won't be getting them for 3 weeks! I'm wondering if I asked the wrong person..

I know the BB i went to had some (but sold out by the time I got there). First two guys I asked didn't know what it was, next guy said that they won't carry it till next week
I got mines today!. I called the bestbuy by my job and the girl told me that they had 8 in stock but to get there fast...she wasn't kidding I went in and there was a buy behind me buying one to. I called about a hour later and they sold out! I tried it out at work and it's great! When I got home I set it up again and netflix really does stream in HD very very clear. Now that the sdk is released I can't wait to see what kind of support we will see for it I'm in love with it this is really the future of TV.:good:
I talked to someone at the local store and they said they would be getting there's tomorrow. Hopefully they will have them when they open.
Mine got them tonight. Reserved it from the site and picking it up tomorrow.... got one from Amazon coming Tuesday as well

Got mine at a local Best Buy also.. On the website pretty much all of them in the immediate area were sold out, luckily this other one just had a truck come in with the first of their shipment. The guy in the TV section and the girl at the register told me it was asked about ALOT lol
Code still worked for Netflix also
Also got mine from my local Best Buy... They only had 7,and they weren't on the sales floor. The guy didn't even know what I was talking about, but I asked him to check the system and he found them in the back. One other person was there for them, and he bought 3.

Yup, popped over to my BB this evening around 9 pm, and when I got there (back in the laptop/iPad area) I noticed one of the Geek Squad guys was on stocking duty...and one thing he was stocking on the peg rack was about 10 of the Chromecasts (peg didn't even have a tag on it yet). Once I waited for him to finish, I went over a picked up 2 of them. Though I did notice that while I waited for him to stock the shelf about 2 different BB employees grabbed one each, presumably to pay for them at the end of the night.
Interesting this is, before I headed over there, I saw online that that store (plus maybe one other that was several miles away) had them in stock for store pickup...but after I got home around 10pm, I looked online again and they only listed "Ship to Store - 3-5 days"...now unless the rest were snatched up by employees during the last 45 minutes of business hours, I can't imagine that customers bought them up, but who knows. Anyways I'm considering myself lucky to have gotten hooked up!!
By the way, is there a dedicated XDA forum branch for the Chromecast development or other discussion, other than this area? I'm assuming that there at least will be since the SDK is being released and many cool things should be on the horizon.
as a Best Buy employee, I'm proud to say, as soon as it came off our truck last night, I begged my manager to let me buy it before we closed. but in all fairness, just call your local store in the morning and see if they have any in yet. most stores only received 10 initially, but i know my store is getting another 35 in the next day or two.
just call and ask, if they have it, go buy it asap

Hey thanks for chiming in here. I guess your experience goes to further support my observation at my local BB at around 8:45 pm local time this evening. Again as I said, it appeared that they were only then unpacking/unboxing these items and setting them up on store shelves. In the case of my store, they put it on an unlabeled peg tucked away on the same tiny wall as other miscellaneous USB dongles, almost like they didn't have a proper home for it (and in that case, good luck to anyone who is hoping to locate it in the store without first asking a BB employee to look it up!). At any rate, it appears that at least anyone with any tech savvy (i.e. BB employees and XDA members, lol) are all over these things, so I second reloaded's suggestion - unless you've already placed an online order somewhere, forget the online vendors and try hitting up your local Best Buys tomorrow AM, and then in the coming days. That is undoubtedly going to be your absolute best bet.
Was able to snag 2 at my local best buy. 1 for me, and another to see if I can flip for more money on eBay if they are as hard to come by as the nexus 4 launch. Here's to hoping !

Wow....I just checked also. At 7:45 I called the only BB online close to me that still had them available. The girl checking told me the truck arrived not to long ago with 16 in the shipment. When I got mine (as stated earlier) at 8pm, they still had most left..Checking on the website again, they are ship to store now..
Jesus these things are like hotcakes lol...They are selling on Ebay for a pretty penny too!!
First Best Buy I went to this morning swore up and down there was no way to get them until next week. After asking another employee to check the SKU(9071056) and told me they did not have any in stock but the store about 10 min away still had all 10.
Ran over to the other store.. just as others have already said.. it was in the laptop section. They were still in a box on the counter. Netflix code was printed on the receipt.
Mine only had 3 when I got there (they were in a box by the online pick up guys) I got one and while I was chatting with the sales guy about it (he had a ton of questions) some geek squad came by and swooped up the other 2 to put on reserve for an online order. I was close to not getting mine too...

I went to the 24 hour union square bestbuy the moment I saw you all saying bestbuy had it. I have mine backordered on Amazon so my patience was thin. The guys never hear or saw it before and had to hunt it down for a friend and I. I picked up 3 (my room, living room, girlfriend) and my cruel friend picked up the remaining 7 (wonder why). The workers got hyped by what we told them and said they guess they would pick one up at the next shipment and then a customer walked up and saw then said wow you cleaned house.
Going to try to find one of these today. Going to call ahead first when they open at 10am, hopefully they'll know what I'm talking about. lol.
Bought mine from Best Buy yesterday. Wasn't even on the shelf yet and heard I was the second person to buy one. Got the netflix offer too. I'm loving it.

Just called, and they had none in stock, but said they might be getting 10 in tonight.

So I have accidentally spent too much time drooling and reading reviews to pull the trigger to order. But I've decided I need one, and need it immediately (lol, as I'm sure all of you understand).
Question: What's the quickest way to get one? Has anyone ordered super recently and received an immediate shipping/arrival ETA? Or would it be best to go to the store and nab one?

Try to preorder and get one day service to see if that way you can get it tomorrow or weds

I pre ordered on 9/30. My shipping label was just created on 10/11/14 and still seems to be sitting in a T-Mobile warehouse someplace because it has yet to be picked up by UPS. This is the first time I've pre ordered a phone from T-Mobile and it will be the last. I always show up at a T-Mobile store on launch day and walk out with a phone by 9:30 AM. As a T-Mobile customer for over 10 years you would think my shipping would be upgraded to 1 day air like a lot of others have. But according to my still up shipped tracking label, it's going UPS Ground.
Rather messed up that T-Mobile wouldn''t honor a first come, first served model. I could in all likely hood pre-order right now and have a device delivered before someone who ordered the day it started.
Same boat as you. Estimated delivery date is Friday.

Did you get tracking yet? I ordered white one Friday as well and they told me it would come in Monday if I did overnight. However, today they said it still hasn't been shipped yet and are not sure when it will now. Shipping was obviously refunded.

There was a loose ear piece grill on mine and Tmo had to order me a new black one today. They charged my card for a new phone with EIP just like the first one and they are shipping it to me overnight for Wed delivery. It's technically a new purchase and the 1st one will be a return.

I pre ordered mine and had it two days later. So I'd say having pre ordered but they will be showing up in stores and with that sweet $200 dollar rebate deal going on it maybe better to get one at bestbuy.

How they get it free? how much was one day air? Cause I preordered mine in stores on 10/10 and come to think about it they never ask what shipping rate I wanted... like when I ask questions about the phone like a week earlier over the phone but anyways if I can get back the shipping that be cool.. but I think they just gave me the standard shipping $6.99... but if I could gotten free shipping...

So my AT&T store got their N6's in-stock but as everyone knows they were recalled. They have no ETA on when they will have more in-stock BUT told me they can still order one for me threw something called the fulfillment center? They said it would take 3~5 days for it to ship.
Is this true?
If they can have them shipped in 3 to 5 days, why do they have no ETA on getting them? I'm reluctant to order one and then have the wait turn into weeks or even a couple months.
I'm almost thinking about getting an S5 tonight at Best Buy for the Black Friday $1.00 dollars deal. I REALLY want the N6 but my S3 is broken and I'm without a phone right now. It broke a just under two weeks before the N6 was due out so I didn't file a claim for insurance, just held out for the N6 and that damn recall crap happened.
I keep seeing people say they are just going to go get one from Best Buy but when I call any Best buy in my state they tell me they never got N6's and their system shows they never not N6's yet people keep saying here on XDA well I'm just going to go get one from BB etc.

First, the stores have been getting their replacement N6's for the past 2 days. Some stores got them in Tuesday, the ones near where I live got them Wed. Chances are high that, if your local stores don't have them already, they'll get them Friday.
As for "direct fulfillment" taking 3-5 days, it's kind of a random thing. I ordered one around noon on Tuesday with overnight delivery, and it showed up at my door Wed morning. (However, the AT&T website and the call centers all insisted it wouldn't ship until sometime in December.) I've read of some people taking a day or two before they ship out, and then another 2 days for actual delivery. It also depends on if AT&T has physical stock. (Also, if you order on black Friday, it's possible that no one will ship it until the following week - due to the holiday.)
If you want the nexus 6, I'd call your local corporate stores (more than one) Friday around 1pm to see if they got their daily shipment yet and if any nexus 6's came in.
Interesting that the AT&T store did not have any clue when they might receive a re-stock. I also checked another one that is in my local mall, I do not know if it's a corporate store but they said a few weeks.
I do know that no Best Buys in my state show any N6's have ever come in, one of the guys checked the computer for me.
I will go try the AT&T store tomorrow. I would rather SEE the phone I'm actually getting and not wait for it to just show up on my door step!
Thanks for the update. Side note this delay has allowed for my Digitronics TPU Gen 2 N6 case to be here when I do get my phone. Suppose to be delivered tomorrow!

No sign of the N6 in at&t stores or best buy in CA. I've checked every day this week. I will check again today.
I ordered mine before Thanksgiving from AT&T website and it arrived yesterday, haven't had any trouble with mine.

yeah I was able to pick up a Nexus 6 from ATT store yesterday here in Michigan, actually Angola, IN across board from me and I think My local ATT store has couple too and we are actually kind out away from any major city and they had them in stock and I was really surprise they did.
I should have updated the thread. I ended up finding one at one of the Corporate stores here in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
They got them in on Friday.
The At&t store here in Salem, Oregon has them, I just got mine today. The website wouldn't tell me a shipping date so I popped in on the off chance they had them in since the recall. The rep told me they just came in yesterday and were in the back still, then went and got me one. Seems they only have the midnight blue though.

I finally found the phone after calling around to other at&t stores in nearby towns. Lesson learned; even though one employee from one store says noone has it, keep checking. They don't know and they dont care. They had three of them in stock and not a whole lot of accessories. As i was buying it, a lady asked me what phone it was and picked one up clueless. The employees barely know what they're selling if it's not a Samsung or iphone. The emoloyees had no idea they were the only stire with the phone in stock. So, the stores don't talk to one another and these were corporate stores, noy authorized retailers.
So I pre-ordered the N7 black onyx on August 4th. On the 14th I get an email saying my order has been processed and another email saying it's been shipped with a tracking number. The tracking number still shows that it hasn't been picked up, just the label created. I've called T-mobile 3 times, the first 2 people said that it would ship out soon. The 3rd, most recent person I spoke with said that a specialist would look into it and they would contact me. It's been 3 days and nobody has contacted me. Not sure what to do other than cancel the order, but I will lose out on the pre-order bonus. I just want my new phone
It's not lost.
I never got a tracking number and according to the website, the order is still being processed. Phone was preordered on the 3rd, and delivered on the 18th. Just saying, their site is just disinformation and their reps will only tell you what you can already see by logging in. I'd say if your card gets billed, you'll get the phone within a week.

I went to my local store looking for a black note, none in stock. Ended up having the sales-woman place the order for one (this was last Saturday) hoping it would ship out Monday and be to me by wed....Monday no change in status, Tuesday no change. While driving back from SF that Tuesday called Bay Street T-Mobile store that had Onyx in stock....Drove to store called customer care who cancelled my order then I picked up the unit in-store. Sweet !!
Thursday I walk out of my front door and big T-Mobile package sitting there. Sure enough both phones show on my account....Now I have to deal with returning this 2nd unit....
My point....how do you not have your phone yet? .....it's raining phones in my world..

I called in yesterday and finally spoke with someone who knew what they were doing. They admitted that the order has probably been lost and they started a new order which just shipped out today. If they don't find the first phone, they said that they would honor the pre-order bonus. They also gave me a credit of the Netflix value to my account for all the trouble.
I get it, mistakes happen and I'm not mad for that reason. It was just really frustrating trying to get any help. I felt like I was getting generic responses and nobody was actually looking into it.
