Can anyone explain how to block automatic OTA updates on this phone? I can't find any option to do so.

This is how I have blocked OTA updates on my Nexus 7 and Sprint Optimus G. Not sure if it will work on HTC One but worth a shot:

Dev unlock, install TWRP, and flash Viper's Rom. No OTAs from Sprint!

Hey everybody,
Is there a way to disable OTA Updates?
I want to give my S-Off Device to a not very experienced user.. I also want to prevent him from accidently installing an OTA update,
because that would'nt work because of the s-off
Thank you!

The /system/build.prop file contains the URLs for connecting to the HTC OTA service and servers. If you delete those entries then a user will not be able to actually get a OTA.
Can you tell me what lines exactly? Because there are a lot of them?
Are you sure that this is the best and safest way to disable them?

Quick question. My device is rooted, has twrp, and s off. HTC or Sprint sent OTA 3.31.651.2 to my phone today. Is it safe to download? If so, will I lose root? If not, can you supply link on how I should update? Thank you.

For OTA updates you need to have a %100 stock rom (that includes stock recovery too) . You could download the update but all it will do restart the phone to TWRP and do nothing over there. +wrong thread
Edit: I think there is a way to get the update but you have to search for it.
Thank you. ?
Hello, does anyone happen to have the OTA update that brings NPS26.116-45 up to a more recent security patch? I'd be MUCH obliged!

Is there any way to keep my Magisk rooted device rooted after an OTA update? Or do I have to patch the new boot.img and flash it in fastboot after every OTA update?
anyone?
I don't remember the exact procedure but it is possible. You should be able to find it in the Magisk thread though. Personally I always found it easier to just patch the new boot.img. Reading through the forums it seems that opinions are mixed at about 50/50 on preference so to each there own.

How do you get official Samsung OTA updates when you're rooted, i didn't think that was even possible.

It's only possible if your phone has an A and B system partition. You are in the Pixel 4 XL forum so I assumed that is what you had. Samsung doesn't support this.
