Hello,
I have problem with my xperia x8, when i'm pushing menu button, my device rebooting. Im changing and reflashing kernels 131454 times, and full wiped and reflashed rom (gingerdx and cm10) But i have still this stupid "bug". How i can solve this problem?

try to format system or back to stock and flash again the rom,,

Maybe power button is broken(or always is pressed by sth) , cause if you press power + menu it reboots.
Check that

Nope, becuase sometimes works everytning normal.

ahh i see
had u try it in stock rom eclair? (without install the cusRom)
if it still happen maybe it is hardware issue

I'm using GingerDX with Stock Kernel.
Is there a way to improve autorotation time? i feel that is pretty slow. For example when i type a SMS and rotate the phone 90 degrees, my phone goes to landscape after like 10seconds even when i shake it
What? I dont have that problem. Mine takes 2-3 seconds to do that.
What version are you using?
Did you full wipe?

Always use latest gingerdx
got ginderdx v21 stock kernel. does a full wipe modify all my settings or delete my installed applications? fullwipe=factory reset?

Yes. Backup your apps before full wiping. The settings will be gone also,but I don't think it's too hard to revert it.

I tried to get cm7 nightly on my phone but i installed it without clearing cache.. i cant boot into cwm by holding power + vol down .. what do i do?
Have you tried removing the battery?
Make sure the buttons are held down for 10secs

LG Optimus 2x is a developers smartphone it will not bokedown easily.we have a way for 90% problems here
Flashing the official jb with pc odin and success..but my phone can't lock.
When i press power button just screen off and phone not lock..when i hold power button my phone immedietly off & do not show the reboot menu.
Flashing many times with wipe,format still same..also try different firmware still same.
Anyone can help me

I do have exactly the same problems on my deodexed version. And until now no clue why. So let's see if another member finds or knows a solution.
this is what i found on for ICS on a similar issue
"- Download "Terminal Emulator" app from market
- open it
- type into the command:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
Go to home, force close your terminal app, shut your screen off, and when your turn it back on your lock screen should be there."

ok sorry... I dont have this problem on JB but long back on ICS i had and this resolved it.. If i were you i would try to go back to ICS, then check the lock screen.. if still no .. then try this method.. check if its working .. if yes upgrade to JB.. if no.. sorry for the long useless method..
This has worked for me in the past with ICS..

JB does not start. Hangs at the boot screen
Hi folks,
After I installed the official JB (from fantastic Eybee) the system announces sometime to check for software updates. If you allows that, after a short time you get the message that the system has been changed. And then the system restarts and remains at the boot screen stand. This happened to me 3 times. After that only helps a full wipe to Android running again.
I also get the message that the system has been modified but phone does not reboot. May be you need to clean install the rom again.

Make sure the menu LOCK INSTANTLY WITH POWER KEY is ticked. Menu inside SETTING>LOCK SCREEN.

I solved my problems in my new version 1.3.
In XXLSA and XXLSC I do not have these problem (leaks and dumps). In official ICS or JB I do have the problems - but now solved with a workaround in my own Custom Rom (android.policy.jar).
Any idea how to fix with stock jb 4.1.2

Eybee uses android.policy.jar from XXLSZ, try my Custom Rom (with the android.policy.jar from XXLSC) and check if you have lockscreens with this one (until now no 4-way-reboot, because I didn't implement it yesterday).

Dude, you are my hero! I had this problem with the lockscreen and i couldnt make a call.. only your ROM helped! Thank you so much! :good:
I'm using tonyp's latest rom build (05) and the Magnyfying Glass (physical button) is not working.
When I push the button nothing happens, Actually the phone vibrates, but doesn't go to the search bar.
Anyone has this issue or know how to solve it?

Do a full wipe and reflash the rom. Dont't forget to backup what you need.

Reflashing tonyp's rom didn't solve the problem.
Installed CM 10.1 "Stock" and it is solved, button working again and rom running smooth.
try to set it manually in settings / hardware buttons

Go to Setting >> Buttons >> Backlight >> Check Illuminate Buttons and make it 5 sec or whatever you like >> OK :good:

Clan install ? Did do a full wipe yes. used Odin3 v3.04 PDU Install
Wipe and then factory reset
And then flash the rom

Does this really work? Had the same problem, wiped, cleaned, resetted, flashed over and over and still buttons didn't work
Now back on annoying stock rom so would be so happy to come back to the world of custom roms

I had the same problem but it took a while to start working again. Reboot to see if its solved. I use Resurrection remix OS 5.8.5 from maclaw and it included an option for a Nav bar on screen.
