Google wallet - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone gotten Google wallet working on the new one? I have tried the various xposed patches and numerous apks and after about 5 minutes it appears to force close. Any tips?

Ironically, that post does not help solve the actual problem.

Yes, one person has gotten it working, on Sprint.
No tips yet on T-Mobile. I tried editing my build.prop a few times and restarting a few times and it would never show up as operable in the Play Store, so I gave up rather than try side loading it. I'll wait for Google to post an update, or someone with more time/patience/tenacity than me to give it a try.

We just don't need multiple threads on Google Wallet functionality, regardless of your wireless carrier. It can all go under one thread in the proper Help/Q&A sub-forum.
You might even have better luck asking over at the T-Mobile HTC One forums.

What happened to.....

Looking for a little information please.
Does anyone know what happened to documents2go and if it will become available again soon? I have mailed them but had no response.
Failing that suggestions for word and Excel editors that work locally on the device would be very welcome.
Thanks
Not sure what you mean? It is still available on the market, and they've just update to V2.0.

Dave

Thanks - It had gone missing for a little while, I guess while they settled the V2. I have pulled it down and paid for the key. Its pretty good and I am going to keep this one. Took ages to find out how to delete a file though!
What happened to PAC-Man by Namco (Free edition) I can't see it in the Apps store, even though loads of people are dl'ing it over the last few days. I don't have a rooted phone. It is on T-Mobile.
I even tried the QR codes on websites that show it and when I get the Android market it says it cannot be found, and only shows paid edition, but people are still d'ling it. I have found this with quite a few apps one other example is sherpa.
Any suggestions?
huh, i can't find Google Maps

New Market

T-mobile has released an update that includes carrier billing in the market. Can we get the new market in cyanogen or other donut roms?
according to http://androidandme.com/2009/12/car...payment-options-for-android-market-purchases/
"serjical 12/10/09 at 3:35 pm Rank 0 I already have the update and I have rooted phone running cyanogen mod 4.2.7.1 so yes it works on rooted phones too and if you would like screen shoots drop me a line at my email and I will send them to you"
perhaps us root users will get the update automatically (fingers crossed)

im wondering if someone who has it can post it and perhaps we can try pushing it into various roms
Can anybody that gets it let us know if you're forced to use the carrier billing, or if you can just keep it set to Google Checkout? Personally, I love the fact that it comes out of my checking account immediately and that I can see the transaction online. I'm also concerned how this will impact the 24 hour refunds.

According to Tmo and reports from users who have it, yes, Google Checkout remains an option. You can use whatever one you want. And the 24-hour refund policy is still in place.
That said... this thread has nothing to do with development, or the Dream hardware (specifically). It needs to be moved to the Android apps forum.
Can we pull the new market off a device that has the update it and push it to our devices. If so, does anyone have the new market?
No New Threads

as stated prior .. this should be a dead thread .. it is not specific to the dream dev .. from everything i have seen and read concerning any and all changes to Market it is device specific and controlled by your firmware version .. therefore those using v1.6 may not be able to use the new Market .. it is not simply a matter of loading a new file on your phone
that said .. anyone can feel free to correct my statement .. but please refrain from adding new threads for such things and direct these kinds of statements and/or questions to the appropriate (already existing) thread
have any of you even checked to see if you have it? i have it....check manage applications to make sure its a version greater than 1660...

No I have 1620. Can you pull the market apk so we can try to push it to a device that hasn't been updated?
I check mine im running 1620 on my tmo g1 using 4.2.71 Cmod
Fw. 1.6
How about this.....
let the mods do their job. Klowns don't have to post in every single goddamn thread I peruse, about how a subject is in the wrong section. Grow up. All you wanna be mods can just snitch to them under the cover of darkness. Instead of dry snitchin like you're doing.

I know. It's annoying, having something get off subject because a bunch of people post off-topic, isn't it? Which is why threads started in the wrong section (especially DEVELOPMENT, where real work goes on) get flamed. So, uh, "klowns" need to post where they should. If you don't, don't complain when people post off-topic in your off-topic thread.
Edit: This thread isn't another stupid "Tried this moto klick app now my fone says t-mobiel g1 help! plz" one, it genuinely has something to offer, and it was a simple misunderstanding posting it here, instead of in apps. Which is why a few members here mentioned that it was in the wrong section, but nobody was rude towards the OP for it, and why the thread should probably just be moved, instead of locked. We can all still be nice. Yes?
have apk
i currently have the 1620 version of the market. i have a apk for a newer one but when i push it the market completly dissapears. any help would be appreciated

On Friday, I received a silent upgrade from 1.620 to 1.660; I still do not have the option to bill to my carrier, and yes, I am a US TMO subscriber.
At any rate, here is the 1.660 Vending.apk from my phone (in sig). Remember to rename it to .apk from .zip.

Pushed it and got it working, but cannot bill to carrier either, maybe we need the tmobile build to get it working

So then, yes, we literally need a market build # greater than 1.660. Could someone with 1.700+ please share it.

[Q] Bootloader Unlocked?

Hi All,
So yesterday I disabled a bunch of Samsung's junk on my AT&T S5. Last night I turned my phone off. This morning when I turned it on the boot screen comes up with an open lock and the word custom. I know on my Nexus 5 and 7 when the boot loader is unlocked it shows the open lock. I wanted to post this in Chainfire's CF-Auto-Root but it said I don't have enough post to put it there. This can't mean the bootloader is unlocked? That would be way to easy. Are there any Dev's reading this thread that could comment? Or could anyone link this post in Chainfire's thread for CF-Auto-Root to see what he says?

Sorry wouldn't let me post a link, so I put the underscores replacing the two dots. Hope that dosen't violate any rules bypassing it that way.
Thanks,
Carmen

Just seems weird to show an open lock for just disabling some apps...lol
While that is strange, there is a setting inside the dev menu that causes the phone to show the custom screen, I believe it's the runtime option.

I changed it from Dalvik to ART last night before shutting it off so I guess that did it by what your saying.

It's fine. The reason I pointed you to the thread is that there is some information that has already been discussed about the issue that you might have missed out on. It's OK to learn about things and ask questions, it's just that so many people miss out on great information that already exists. To be honest, XDA's search feature isn't very reliable, so if you run into problems you can always use Google and type in your search criteria and end it with XDA to get a lot of XDA results directly from Google. Believe me, it will save you a lot of time and aggravation down the road.

[Q] Q about Runtastic

Not sure where to post this, but does anyone know if there is an easier way to stop the workout on runtastic?
I run with an armband so by the time I take it off and unlock my phone 30 sec or so has already passed by. Or it takes even longer if I try to type my password through the plastic screen.
Does anyone know if there is a more efficient and faster way to stop the workout?
Why would an S6 forum be the spot for this?
Probably shouldn't be. I looked for a runtastic reddit or forum and couldn't find anything. Although I did see a few runtastic questions on xda on different phones so I figured I'd post here and give it a try.

Yeah I posted and then used the search function. I found it.
Should've linked it here
That would defeat the purpose of the search engine.
Strephon, doesn't that sort of go against the spirit of your sig: "so everyone can benefit"...
The "spirit" of my sig is simple. I am no one's personal guru or help desk and don't field help requests sent in PM, of which I received a great many of in the past. In this case, asking for a link on the forums that has already been posted multiple times benefits no one except the lazy.
The search engine exists for a reason. USE IT!
