did you uncheck automatic brightness and turn it all the way up?

Powersaver on? Makes a huge difference in brightness levels.

Yup yup. Power saver does some work on the brightness levels.

Yes it was unchecked but I guess I'm just used to higher brightness levels like other phones I've had.

Screen Brightness

Me again,
I noticed that my screen usage is at 70% but I have the auto brightness off and it turned down to about a quarter of the bar. Is there a reason for the usage being so high?
--TeckTeck
I believe interfacing with your phone (touching the screen) counts as screen usage.

Backlight on home buttons don't light up

I just got my HTC one yesterday and already there's a problem with the backlight on the home buttons. I looked in the settings thinking there's we a option for them and there wasn't. Is there a fix for this?or has anyone else ran across this?

The are controlled by light sensitivity. In the dark they should light up. Try that out.
Would me turning of auto brightness or anything change That?

Do you mean it's still bright?
I think it's the nature of X8, I played with my X8 lot times in night and
I down the brightness completely but its still tearing my eyes!
Wear a glass next time!
You can use screen dimmer app or change minimum value in auto brightness settings in screen dim level.

Vibration stopped working

When I press on the back button, or when I long-click on the home button, my phone doesn't vibrate anymore. I have vibration enabled in settings. Is anyone else having this issue?

Does it still vibrate when you receive a call or a text message?

Was your battery low? This phone automatically does power saving mode after 20% I believe.
My battery wasn't low. My phone vibrates when called. This is very strange. Any other solutions?

Are you sure that hectic feedback is still checked in settings-device-sound under screen lock sound
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes, it was always checked. Something funny just happened. I was browsing through settings - not the sound settings - and suddenly noticed the vibration is back.

You seem to be having a huge number of problems. I haven't seen anyone else post this many problems. Maybe starting over from an original unrooted mi9 might correct all of your problems. Not trying to offend. Just making an observation. Good luck.

After charging your phone doesn't automatically turn off Power Saving mode. Pull down the drawer and make sure it isn't checked.
Lost vibration again. This is very frustrating. Does anyone know what's going on?

I noticed that my power saving mode was on, which disabled the vibration. I disabled the power saving mode and the vibration is back.

You guys find the solution ! That is right, just a setting problem - power saving mode should be disabled. Then, my phone vibrating function is normal, thanks!:good:

Lower the lowest screen brightness

Can we lower the lowest screen brightness somehow? I feel like its to bright for dark areas and it would save more battery while using it in dark areas as well...

If you have a custom rom you can change the settings.

Haha no not that. Like lowering it completely. Making it darker then turning the brightness down all the way.

You can always download the screen filter app from the play store. That's what I do. In the AHD you could set smart actions to turn on/off the screen filter app at a certain time and then u don't have to worry about turning it on and off.
This is the one I've been using in my devices since forever:

Did you actually click adjust and see all the different settings?

YAAB in the F-Droid repo is actually much more subtle about the dimming, so I prefer it over screen filter.
