Meant to post this in ATT thread (Clicked top most device by habit, didnt realize Sprint S4 had the honor of newest device on forum now ) but same probably applies to Spring phones:

going to be getting a note 2 soon but dont have one at the moment. are all the body shapes the same or do i need one for the tmobile specifically?>
All versions are the same in terms of dimensions
All the same. I'm using a flip case I bought at Sprint on my N7100.
I asked in a later thread specifically whether the 7100 and 7105 were at all different, and didn't get an answer, but I am pretty sure externally all variants (so far) are the same.
Hi guys and gals I'm currently want to upgrade my S2 (finally) to either a S3 or S4, reason why I'm still considering the S3 is that I haven't really heard anything bad about them. But for the S4 however..... things like, camera failing, sim card failure etc... But I'm an android developer so the main reason why im getting it in the first place is to have a big screen and a higher end processor since I've already got a S2 for a sort of low end kind of thing.
So if you dont mind giving me your thoughts on both products
and I do intend on getting extended warranty just because of the issues lol

Hmm, well if you want feedback on the S3 and S4, I would suggest you head on over to the S3 and S4 forums. This is the S4 Active forum, which is an entirely different device - similar to an S4 but not the same and not with the same issues. But since you're here I would personally recommend staying away from the S4 Active, it just doesn't seem to be taking off at all. I'll probably be selling mine and getting a Nexus 5 instead when it shows up, depending on the details.
This is the incorrect forum to find information on either of the devices you mentioned.

Have a great day!
I can't seem to find a thread for the at&t s5 active. Is it the same as the s5, simply a different housing?
Also, has anyone managed root for this phone?
If not, anyone feel like teaching me how you normally go about exploiting a new device..? I've always ended up buying phones that were already a few months old and someone had already managed root.
Asking a lot bro. As far as your thread goes, the Active is a lot like the S5 only a few things are not. Some I have noticed right off the back is the Active is heavier and feels way tougher. Buttons are different with 4 new ones. There is no thread for this phone yet because it's so locked down from At&t and Verizon. It's really difficult I'm seeing. Sad that we can't have an option like HTC does. M8 people are really happy I bet. Good luck
I posted in the wrong place now twice, LOl but here--> Samsung Galaxy S5 Active!

OP did have a good question: Does development for the Active sync up with the regular AT&T S5, or does it differ? If it does sync up, then that makes things a lot easier. Anyone know?
Planning to get a AT&T Nexus 6 as soon as AT&T and Moto stop jerking us around and I was curious as this is going to be my first Nexus device but are these phones going to be carrier specific with ROM and Kernal releases or are Nexus devices universal across the carriers?
From what I understand other than the extra stuff on the AT&T phone these are identical hardware and software so it should be all the same. But I'm no dev so I could be wrong
No, there no carrier specific Roms!
These are Nexus devices! It is the standard AOSP. There is no bloat that can't be removed either. And nothing is locked.

What does that mean? Not the case for every nexus..... The nexus s and the gnex both had carrier specific roms, even on the nexus 5 there had to be separate tweaks to get data working on Sprint. Not all nexus are created equal! But we should be good for the most part for this device

Those were the earlier days, and yes Sprint had additional things to be added to make it work on Sprint at the beginning but then it became unified.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5 theres only 1 Original Dev and 1 Dev forums.
For the N6, theres only 2 models. International and Americas. It will be integrated together similarly to N5.
On my Sprint Nexus 6 there's a submenu in settings for updating profile and PRL. Is this an add on or would that be erased with a custom ROM based on the Play Store Nexuses?
Having one of the Nexuses (Nexii?) that people have the greatest fear that it has been mutilated by the vendor (AT&T vendor-purchased Nex6)--I can safely say there has been minimal folding or spindling, and the kernel is the same as on the GPlay Nex6.
The only differences:
a) So far AT&T is the sole vendor that makes use of the /oem partition (for OEM specific startup screens and ringtones). Shock and horror, I tell you. Also easily removable when rooted and it doesn't hurt the phone at all.
(As an aside...I'm kind of shocked that nobody has yet realised this gives some real opportunities for those who like to do mods to startup screens. We could easily replace the standard Deathstar initial bootup screen with, oh, something that might make both AT&T AND Lucasfilm cranky simultaneously. Or something completely different)
b) Putting an AT&T SIM in triggers download of three tiny apps (basically a "device help", aka Smartphones for Noobs, some "AT&T Live" thing that is genuinely cruft, and the AT&T account manager app). Both are easily and painlessly removable via Google Play.
c) A Deathstar logo on the back. This, too, is easily correctable with the applied use of a little Everclear or acetone and a little elbow grease
I recently purchased an S6 Active off of Ebay. The model number is SM-G890A and learned that the bootloader is locked per AT&T. This was quite frustrating to learn as I have just spent $90 on a phone that I was hoping to use LineageOS on. I have spent hours bashing my head on my desk as I am new to the Android community and have never flashed a new OS on an Android before. Does anyone have any KIND suggestions for me as a new member of this community? Is it even possible to root or even remove these horrible apps AT&T has installed on this phone? Please help my desperate soul.
I have a suggestion...sell it and buy an Exynos model (SM-G920F). No way to get around this sadly. These new Snapdragon bootloaders are prisons made of thick steel and cannot be hacked at the present state unless we pool a lot of money together and it has strong community interest, but it isn't 2015 anymore so the hardcore hackers already went past the S6, S7, S8 and S9.
I can understand this is frustrating but believe me, the quality of life on a rooted Snapdragon device isn't worth the monumental effort just to use it, you'll be fighting against Qualcomm's security constantly, you won't have the ability to use Magisk Hide because that requires tampering the kernel and settling for subpar solutions that not always work. I endured one of those locked devices for a year once and it wasn't pleasant. The Exynos model doesn't give any resistance once you unlock it by flicking a toggle in developer options and it has plenty of ROMs and support. Sorry you had to learn the sad truth about the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S devices since the Galaxy S6 like this, the hard way.
I know it saddens you and that you're wasting time, and I do hate all the "just buy a new one" kind of answers too but this time you're at a dead end. Now you have to investigate before buying a phone, the Galaxy S2 and 4.2.2 Jelly Bean days are over. Also stay away from Huawei, none of them can be unlocked anymore.
