Those parts don't seem to be on the market. Your can check our site periodically http://www.etradesupply.com/sony/all-models/sony-xperia-z-l36h.html
You may want to take it to a repair shop. Maybe they can fix it without replacing the part.

Broken phone...custom rom?

Hi, I have dropped my phone and the gold pins where the battery connects have broken and fallen out, also needs a new screen. I rang Sony Ericsson and they can fix it, but I have flashed it with custom ram....Is there anyway to remove this otherwise they wouldnt repair it.
Is it possible to power up the phone without a battery?
Cheers
i couldnt turn on phone without battery via usb cable,
im not sure about reverting to save warranty - but your problems are hardware.
sorry about that.

Don't go to a SE service centre then. Go to some random GSM repair shop, they won't care about your ROM.

Try a different ROM if you can boot into recovery and if you're rooted. But there seems to be a problem with the USB port. I guess you'll have to clean it with alcohol strips or replace it soon.

You can buy the stuff on ebay. And i guess the replacement of USB port will do it, don't change motherboard or other stuff. And mate don't say thanks, click it!!!
my daughter's Note 7000 was not charging properly, it cost me GB£4.00 for the small circuit board which has the USB connector on it, and it was very easy to replace it, as shown in this video which I found on youtube:

Recently I paid nearly USD 80,00 for doing the same repair. Sadly, Android shows the device as charging, but in truth it's not charging at all.

Slow charge notification

Hello, a week ago i sent my m7 because i had the purple tint problem at the camera and now i got my m7 back with a new problem (they formatted the phone as part of the fix)
No matter which charger i use (1A , 2A, original, not original and whaterver) I get a notification that tells me that i use slow charger and i need to use the original charger. Even when i connect my m7 to my computer with usb it give me that annoying notification, it's like he thinks my computer is a charger and because of that my computer doesn't recognize the phone and i cant do s off or root and that kind of stuff to repair it because i'm pretty sure it is a software problem (as i said, they formatted the phone).
I tried to reset the phone from the setting but so far nothing..
if it helps, no matter which charger i use it always charges at the same speed (the phone limits the charger or something)
I'm sorry for my bad english :S

it looks more like your phone usb port is defective. You should send it back for repair.I have heard something similar to your issue, when a guy opened his M7 himself to replace something. After he reassembled the phone, everything was working fine except he got the same issue you are experiencing.
Agree, it sounds like either a damaged port or a bad cable (did you try different ones?). The phone decides what kind of connection it's got depending on what it gets through the four leads, and if something is missing, it may decide it's dealing with a charge-only connection.

I would return it to the service center. It seems clear they may have damaged the port during repairs.

Moisture detected in USB port

Hi,
Since yesterday my phone tells me that it has detected moisture in the USB port.
My phone wasn't in contact with water or other fluids and the air moisture isn't also that high.
My USB cables were all dry, I've tested 5 cables.
What did I also do trying to fix it:
- cleaned the port
- waited one night
- wiped cache
- stopped and cleared data of Android-System and USB-Settings
- multiple restarts, with and without Magisk
- tried different cables and chargers
- used a hair dryer with low temperature to blow it dry
Nothing fixed this. Maybe the sensor has a malfunction?
I'm currently in my holidays and don't have a wireless charger, maybe I can buy one later today, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know other work arounds?
Regards,
Jannomag
When did you get the message? Mine will only get the message when connecting a USB C dongle. And my DEX and HDMI output was disabled too. Had it fixed by motherboard change under warranty repair.
I've never had this issue since yesterday and it just came up after I connected it to my cars USB charger. My wife's P20 had no issues with the same charger and cable directly after I disconnected my phone.
And today, I took my phone after I woke up and got this message. The phone wasn't connected overnight.
Now I'm outside, it's cold and rainy and the message is gone since 15 minutes. I bet, it will be back soon.

I suspect I damaged mine when connected to my friend's chinese USB C dongle
if your message never goes away then you should bring your phone for warranty repair. Good luck
Since yesterday I've got no message, but things can always change.
It happens to me too and I never connect it to Chinese USB always Samsung cable
I got this on my s8+. There is a file thats need to be removed then its resets. Dont know where long time ago something with battery
I wanted to update my phone via USB because of root...but now, my USB port charges only.
My PC's don't recognize the phone, tried with my desktop and laptop, Win10 and Ubuntu 19.04, original and non original cable...nothing worked.
I bet it has something to do with the moisture detection - either it got damaged by moisture (which shouldn't happen with IP65) or there's a different issue which caused a daily moisture detection...
Short Update for future visitors:
I sent my S10 to a repair workshop, they wanted me to pay 400€ for changing the motherboard because the USB was faulty.
I let them send the phone unrepaired back to me. After this I found a guy in a German Android forum who repairs phones for a living and send the phone to him.
He found the issue which causing the USB not working. There were some cold soldering joints on some ICs in the bottom area of the Mainboard best the USB. He reflowed everything and got it to work again. I payed much less than 400€ for this and wanted to share this to you.
So, Samsung built the phone like a disposable cell phone and the repair shops aren't able or willing to put some work in it against Samsung's policy. They want more money for you for replacing the whole Mainboard even if it's not really needed.
This isn't just a fraud against the customers, it's also not really sustained and environmental friendly to dispose a fully working mainboard with just one faulty part.

Could you provide a way to contact that guy? Just in case someone needs a repair like that. I think sometimes the best way to repair our phones is taking them to an electronics repair shop. Samsung repair services are not ready for soldering or micro-soldering
I can't and I don't want to ask him.
But I think there are guys who can repair like this are present everywhere, it's just hard to find them.
This is why I posted the solution he shared with me here.

Then I don't believe it. You've given some off the wall info and can't back it up. If he's in that business I'd think he would be glad for the reference. Yet you make no effort to really help anyone other than to tell them to do a search that even you admit is "hard to find". Is this some secret forum that requires a secret handshake to access? I'll just say BS and move on.
That's very rude, you know?
It's because he's not active here at xda but I can share the German Facebook post he made about my phone, since it's public:
https://m.facebook.com/mobilehardandsoftwaresolutions/posts/940388593002810
My intention wasn't to share the guys address. It's not magic to repair a phone and with this information every good repairshop with good instruments should be able to repair or find such an issue.

Help, my XZ1 C was dead?

Hi!
Please help me!
I installed custom ROM(no SeLinux support) and tested two partitioning programs.
ROEHSOFT PARTITION TOOL
and
ROEHSOFT DRIVE-EXPERT
I did a partition recovery and reboot the phone.
Since then, it doesn't turn on, doesn't charge, no led feedback, can't see the pc, and no fastboot mode, completely dead.
I disassembled, disconnected the battery, but nothing happened.
Died?
What can you do with it even if your PC can't see it?
The two partition programs, in stock rom, did not start, but this rom (selinux is inactive) was ran.
What happened to him being completely dead?
THX

Obvious question, have you made sure it’s turned off before you try to boot it? The screen might just be black but the unit still on.
Hold down Vol up (+) and power together until the phone vibrates three times. Wait a couple of seconds, then press the power button once to try and start it.
As long as the screen wakes up, then you’re in with a chance of getting PC Companion or Flashtool to see it and rescue it.
This was an unlocked phone? If no, then there's a slim chance that you haven't done any permenent damage and you might be able to re-flash.
If you don’t get any joy from a reset, then you have rodgered your partition table and there isn’t any way to bring it back from that.
@dustinzahn, in my opinion, changing partition is very risky. Most likely it is a brick already, no way to recover, if it does not enter fastboot nor sony flash mode.
RIP
Hi Guys!
Thanx the answers.
BUT...
XZ1 C doesn't have a testpoint like Z1?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2682255&page=13
THX!
Yes, unlocked, but hiding J4nn-s kernel, OEM closed the menu.
I tried everything.
It doesn't vibrate, can't detect the PC.
In old xperia's, touching testpoint fixed this and entered fastboot.
I can't find a testpoint on this.

Hi!
This picture is low quality, but the f*ucking Ilike phone's camera is ****.
"only my English is worse than that. "

Do you know the IMEI number?
You could register the phone on the Sony Warranty site , then call the helpdesk and say it's stopped working.
You might be required to provide some proof of purchase, but if it's within two years of its original sale, then it's covered by warranty (EU &UK).
Don't worry if you didn't buy it new, the warranty moves with the phone, not the purchaser. If it was sold through a service provider, putting the IMEI number in will tell you when it was origally sold and what, if any, warraty is left.
Edit: might be a bit late if you've pulled it apart

Sorry, I thought they had posted pics of an Z1C. Unless there is anything under those heat shield things you might be out of luck.
These are much better pictures, I removed the battery, there are a few testpoint candidates.
The battery was glued and not easy to remove.

And the results of your testing?
I give up.
Sorry, my English is not very good, I use the google translator, I'm trying to be understandable.
Stupid Sony designed the motherboard that the test point section right on the bottom half. The phone must be disassembled from the display side.
It's almost impossible to press the test point and while using the usb.
I also broke the flex cable, and I was tired and irritated, so the display cable also damaged.
I tried all the existing "test points" , but nothing happened. He probably didn't survive the procedure.
If the motherboard is good, the display and the USB flex replacement is almost a used XZ1C price, so it landed in the drawer. It'll be good for decoration.
But I found my first smartphone, a sony ERICSSON Mt15i, Neo.
I was originally a Sony Ericcson fan.
The touch screen is bad, but I've already assigned it.
I have a z1 compact, there's the power + volume flex cable must replace, I also ordered it.
Neo now works with an OTG + mouse, but the Z1 Compact does not turn on without a button, only indicates charging.
The Hungarian Sony support was big ****, and the Hungarian warranty service doesn't want to help, even though I told them it's the phone no longer a warranty, all I'm asking is that you help me identify the test point.
But no, they're just indoctrinate me, and they think it can only be repaired by replacing a motherboard.
Yesterday I bought a Xiaomi MI Note 10 phone. It's awesome.
I hope the russel5's [Treble/Pie/XZ1c] crDroid will be there as well.
I liked this ROM, but the disabled SeLinux is a big problem, I think the problematic apk is because of what killed the phone. The STOCK and [Treble/Pie/XZ1c] AOSP Extended ROM did not start the apk, even though i gave him root right.
I think the CrDroid ROM's disabled SeLinux let it run.
Maybe the apk was infected, but I use Malwerbyte and Kaspersky.
The Apk name is ROEHSOFT PARTITION TOOL SD-USB and I download from the Aptoide.
I know I'm a ****ing idiot.
Partition program should not have been downloaded from there.
