Hello, I'm on the Rom CyanGalOp.
As from version 1.1.4 to version 1.1.5 without full wipe, I do not have the Googles Apps (or at least Google Play).
Is there a zip file to flash somewhere because I want to avoid doing a full wipe and reinstall everything?
Thank you in advance
if i install a rom (or update), i wipe every time.

Hello,
I'll have a problem with my Android Market, i downloaded a rom (made with Romkitchen) and everything works great, except de Android Market.
I can download anything, but with the original v10b he works well.
He does that with any rom from Romkitchen
Somebody a suggestion?
Your date and time are probably wrong. if that doesnt fix it delete market cache and reboot

Try clearing Dalvik Cache in CWM (you probably already did that) - or if nothing else works, download the Market 2.3.4 apk from here, copy to SDcard, install. That might work.

Android market just works here if google talks is enabled and connected...
So in cwm I forgot to clear the cache and factory reset when I installed a new rom (from 2.3 to 4.0) but I did not get a bootloop. So the phone is working, should I still reinstall and clear it?

okay, thanks
I'd still recommend doing a full wipe.
You don't want to get in some sort of trouble in the future and think... Would this issue not occur if I wiped clean?...
(Especially since you're coming from 2.3 to 4.0. I assume it's CM7 to CM9?)

Hello,
first of all I used the search and read many different threads! Anyway I couldn't find the answer to my questions. I only got more confused as I already am
I want to use the Zeus rom v6.39! I don't have root or anything. Now my question: I have v20q and want to know if I can do it as described with v20o or v20n and also use the rom?
If possible you could post the links to detailed how tos because I'm new to all that root and rom stuff:angel:
Hy luke. I have the same question and intrests about roms and root for the lgob.
I think that we could make a downgrade with smartflash to the v10a version, root it with gingerbreak and than we can install every rom that we want.
One problem: i don't know if a downgrade works with the smartflash tool and v20q. I recently asked the dev and post a question in the right thread.
Hope that we success together

1: Flash back to v10A v.i.a Smartflash tool
2: Root with gingerbreak
3. Download ROM Manager
4. Flash CWM
5. Reboot into recovery
6. Install ROM
Before Installing, Wipe data/Factory reset, Wipe cache & wipe dalvik cache --> Advanced-->Wipe Dalvik Cache

Hey guys,
follow this advice to install a rooted GB on the OB. This works 100%, I have done this quite a lot of times on different OB versions (also coming from a newer base, e.g. V20n).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23833005
After this, you are rooted V20o and have CWM. If you want to install a custom rom afterwards, think about putting the rom on your SD card before doing the procedure above. With this way you will save some time...
Thanks
Hi, thanks. I'll try your soultions.
Hope that erverything works fine.
greetings

Ok thx guys! If you tell me where I can hit the thx button I will do so...
Is there any method to save my data and apps effectively? And how exactly do I put on the rom after I gained root?
"3. Download Superuser.zip and copy it in root of your SD-cart!! DO NOT EXTRACT!!" does that mean I need to have root already when I copy it on my SD cart?
The app appadmin (don't know if it is still available in the store) help you to backup all your apps.
Your contacts and phonebook can be easily synct with your google account. (Phonebook_settings_export contacts)
You can backup your sms with 'backup&restore' from the market.
No, you don't need root to put the superuser apk to your sd card. That means maybe you can creat a folder called "root" with the superuser apk in there.
Can you please tell us if you managed it to get root?

I still have a question
I do have zeus v6.39 now! but it doesn't look exactly like the pictures. e.g. the status bar looks like the same old android bar and not like its supposed to with zeus...
any suggestions?
Sure that you installed zeus rom? Pls look at phone settings_phoneinformations_last entries(here should you read zeus kernel or version number.
Are you on the zeus rom?

yes it says zeus 6.39 I also don't have a bar to slide down... phone app looks the same as well.
Hm maybe you sould reflash the rom. Don't forget to make a data/factory reset in the cwm recovery. You also sould before installing the rom clear devlik and cache. Hope it works

It worked. My problem was that I only installed the update and not the v6.3 rom
But now I do have a last problem:angel: My GPS is not working at all.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458827&page=4
I tried to use this fix but for some reason its still not working. Any ideas?
Never mind! It works now.
Thanks to you guys. This forum is great
Hi, I know this is probably a real noobie question, but I have only just recently flashed CM9 and used it for a few days. Now I have a few apps that I have been using a lot, but I would like to move to nightlys. Would I have to use VRWipe or something similar to wipe out the current build I have, or can I flash Nightlies right over my current build without wiping anything? What is the best way to go rom CM9, to CM9 Nightly?

backup
You should however get into the habit of using a backup software. Titanium backup works real well.

The Rom doesn't have built in gapps. It's clearly posted by the Dev. You have to flash gapps after flashing the Rom.

Try clearing the data of Google Play app in settings > apps then re-boot.
If it didn't fix the problem, you may have to re-flash the Rom with full wipe + format /system.

apply all this steps but not working it's stay closed after click it
If it's a 4.2.2 rom, make sure youre flashing the 4.2.2 gapps, flashing older ones would cause problems.
People should read on how to Flash Roms from where they get them...
This Rom tells you to flash gapps where the link is
