Hi all,
My battery life is very poor and I downloaded Wakelock Detector to see what is causing this. On top of the list is "1013" with AudioOut_3 and AudioOut_2, causing my phone to wake up very often. What should I do?
This wakelock is the notifications sound from whatsapp, sms, touch sounds....in a better description, all the sounds that came from the speaker, including walkman and YouTube.

Hi troops,
I noticed today while playing music through Bluetooth in my car (using 3rd party music app "power amp") that the dynamic normaliser seems to be active.
If it's that feature that make your music quieter when you have a heavy baseline
I find this highly irritating as I like a loud music experience with plenty of bass.
The thing is these options are all off in the walkman app settings and so I have no idea why this is still happening? :-/
Does anyone know how I can change this or improve the volume, I am sure I am missing something obvious!!
Thanks in advance, please feel free to use this thread to post any sound advice or opinions
While this is still a question I have posted in q&a, once answered perhaps it should be moved to general.

So I got annoyed with 4.1 and went back to 4.0.4 as music in the car is huge for me.
Would still like to know if anyone else has noticed this, so please let me know

Xperia V has the same problem, tried few JB roms, all have this problem
I noticed it too on ICS. I also think it's normal it behaves that way, as it also happens with Voodoo Control on my Galaxy S. Pumping up the bass lowers the overall volume.
My problem with walkman was solved after i went in settings volumes, lowered Alarm volume and bring it back to max.
After that the volume was louder again but i need to do this each time i connect the phone to the car audio.

I don't have this issue with ics, only jb. I don't mind the feature, but I don't really want it on in the car, I would prefer to control it so I can choose when/if it is active!!

Lately i've noticing a strange sound behavior. Whenever i play Music on the loudspeaker Music tends to fade out and in, i mean the volume goes down and then up, and no matter what player i use it,s happening so often that it's getting annoying. Any help or ideas, has anyone faced this problem? And don't know if it's rom related.
it's like something is making the sound to lose focus, like when you recieve a message while listening to Music with a headset but on headset this problem doesn't show up.
And for everyone to know i'm not using any sound mod.
edit: noticed that apps that use audio are crashing more than they should.
Hay man, I have the exact same problem, Sounds fades out then comes back... Oddly enough it's only just started happening in the last day or so. I'm on stock jellybean update with locked bootloader.
Is there any solution to this? Ive tried rebooting etc but no luck.

Try freezing soundenhancement.apk. I know this works on arc, maybe the same bug applies to XT/XTX etc.

Did that and no changes so far.
When playing walkman..i realise that the music seems like its stop and then play again..its stop around half a second..this happen in a few time per song..
Well I'm still having this problem but i've noticed that it happens oftenly whenever i'm listening music on loudspeaker and i open Chrome to navigate, it Triggers the problem. Been trying using Dolphin and it doesn't produce the problem.
I'm not 100% if chrome has to be blamed but that's what i've noticed
This weekend will try changing ROM to see if the problem goes away.
I have noticed this bug as well

Since disabling xloud I don't seem to get the issue anymore, anyone confirm?

I've already tested by disabling xloud, but the problem persists, gonna try rebooting after disabling
Edit: same result after rebooting. The ultimate Test is to play Music then start browsing with chrome (at least with two tabs opened) the Sound will fade out and in eventually. Have in mind that only happens with the internal Speaker of the phone. No headphones or external speakers.
Well moved from TurzzdROM to Gregbradley's Assaye 1.1.0 and there's no sight of the problem, Not saying that was the ROM because i did something else, that is is not enabling Clear phase in Settings/sound, I just activated Xloud and thats it.
So... Try disabling clear phase on settings and rebooting and see if that works.
I'm on JB & is it just me, but I noticed that the sound settings of ringtone & noticifactions isn't very loud.
If you use the max. volume settings, it isn't loud at all....
Any one else noticed this?
Hi @ all
I have a big problem with my Wakelocks on the 4X.
I have the Zaiben rom on Version RC7 Klick.
And the Problem is every time i hear my Music with my Player whether with Poweramp or with the default LG Music Player my 4X does not go into Deep Sleep. I Downloaded the App Wakelock Detector and saw that the Wakelock audioout_2 is running at the time i hear my music and its only runs when i klick on the play button on my music player and only stops when i close my Player. My battery does not last more than 4 hours when I hear music. I tried some bugfixes like disable the Touch Sounds or the disable the keyboard touch sound nothing Helped, I reinstalled the rom too and Nothing helped..
Pls help this Rom is Great i dont want to Install a Different
Sorry for Bad English
The purpose of this wake lock is that you can hear your music LOL
You can't do anything about it.
If it would get disabled you wouldn't be able to listen to music while screen is off.

The Problem is that i can only hear a few hours musik because the battery goes very fast empty and on cyanogenmod or on stock or aosp i dont had this wakelock only on this rom
And i know that audioout_2 is only for System sounds
Iam online with my tapatalk acc iam SleeperXr

again, this wakelock is needed for the phone to be able to play music with screen off. it's there on every rom, even if it's called something different. when playing music, your phone doesn't go into deep sleep, so it's not the wakelock that's the problem. perhaps your phone runs on too high frequency when playing music, that might be the reason for drain? no idea how to fix it if that's the problem though
Are you using viper fx sound mod?

Hi,
This is an annoying sound bug. The notification tones in messaging/email apps stutter; meaning there is a break while playing the tone. Either there is an annoying 'click' at the beginning, which is mostly the case, or the tone 'breaks and resumes, stutters' sometimes in the middle while playing.
I've tried disabling the sound enhancements and different combinations too, but it happens almost all the time during every notification; SMS, Whatsapp, etc. I am on .757. Was happening on .681 too. Not that it is a major issue, but it is quite annoying.
There is one thread on this forum like this some months old, but without a solution. Anybody aware of this problem?
Thanks.
JK
Also got this problem. Would be nice if there is a solution

Seems to have been solved in the recent update to .108
I am not sure if this problem is specific to the p20p or if it's Oreo related but the intense battery saving keeps killing my music player service while I am connected to Bluetooth headset and music is paused. It means I can't use the headset buttons to continue playing. I have changed the battery optimization to manual and told it to ignore the app but it still keeps killing the service. Has anyone else had a problem like this or does anyone have a solution?
