Capacitative buttons and touchscreen dont work. - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I have some trouble with my GT P1000l today.
I installed the new OpenPDroid update, and when I reboot it my touchscreen and my capacitative buttons didn't work, also the volume rocker, and the power button, then when trying to get to recovery mode, the capacitative buttons also didn't work. after booting my divice over and over again, i decided to install PA 3.15 thinking it will solve the problem but when it rebooted the touchscreen and capacitative buttons wheren't working yet.
I hope someone can help me, thanks.

Found this on Cafe TI:
No touch? That means you got the wrong kernel installed. A couple of builds had problems identifying the exact model. Just flash your kernel through recovery or heimdall / odin.
Hope, it helps... :cyclops:

[Q] Can't enter recovery mode

hey guys,
as i already wrote i got an issue with my milestone and its recovery mode. Today afternoon i decided to flash a vulnerable recovery on my phone and then try G.O.T. open recovery out for the first time. After flashing the vulnerable recovery I tried to enter recovery mode by pressing camera button while pressing power button and then (when the triangle appears) the camera button with the volume up button (the way its always done to get there). This worked out pretty well and i was able to do a nandroid backup, root my phone and install the G.O.T. theme (just to try sth out). Later i wanted to flash a custom rom to my milestone, but since then i couldnt even enter recovery mode, i'm always stuck at the point where the triangle appears. I pressed camera+volume up for 2 min and nothing happened, even entering "su" and "reboot recovery" from a terminal app didn't work. everything else is working fine, could somebody explain me what i'm doing wrong or how to fix this? thanks a lot in advance!
EDIT: Ok, i'm really sorry for causing any inconvenience, i figured my mistake out by accident. i pressed camera + power, released both when the triangle showed up and pressed camera and then volume up, while it should be the other way around i guess, cuz now it worked out fine...
got same problem, stuck on triangle and no reaction on volumeUP + camera…
bump
Is this for the milestone or the vzw droid they have different systems. i know for the droid its power + X for 10 sec while the M logo is up. Im sorry im not to familiar with the milestone A853

Physical keyboard stopped working on milestone.

Hi all, its very weird, the keyboard won't work at all in the OS. Still when the device is turned off, and i press Up (on keypad) + Power it goes to bootloader, therefore the physical keyboard seems fine. Nonetheless it would not work in the recovery, so i cant use d-pad to update.zip root and other shtuffs ... Please, any suggestions would be really appreciated. I tried flashing several SBF's, nothing helped.
just reflash it from bootloader then nandroid back to your backup that you made in the last seven days.
same same
Hi!Help!! I have the same problem: keyboard is not working but I can enter to the bootloader mode by pressing joystick up and powering the device... Any solutions how to fix it?

[Q] No Recovery Menu

Hi
I've been lurking for a while and after reading up for a bit I decided to install GOT 2.2.1 on my Milestone over an OTA 2.1 UK.
Everything flashed fine through RSDLite. However when I tried to launch OpenRecovery from Recovery Mode I couldn't get in to the menu. I am able to get to the the mode itself, with the exclamation mark etc but using Volume Up + Camera or any other number of key combinations will not bring up a menu.
Feeling I had done something wrong I returned to 2.1 stock and followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696845 but I encountered the same problem again.
I feel I might be missing something obvious, if not has anybody else came accross this problem?
Thanks

have you read this ?
especially the part about the bootloader version ^^
if you have the older bootloader, it's another key combinaison.
any other number of key combinations will not bring up a menu.

you tried ALL key combinaison ?
Yeah that was the guide I followed the second time round. My bootloader was initially 90.74 but when that never worked I upgraded to 90.78 and went back to stock again, installed vunerable sbf etc. This switched the keymappings around so instead of holding Camera and Power to access Recovery it was Camera and X. That was the only difference that I noticed. On both versions to access the menu it apparently requires Volume Up and Camera but that never worked.
And yes sadly I did indeed try literally every combination of Volume Up & Any Other Key or Camera & Other Key to see if that worked...
I found that you need to boot while pressing the X Key and then you are able to apply the update again.
Update.zip must still be on the root of your SD card.
I found most of my keys were slightly different to the one in that guide and the root guide.
Hope it works out for you

Thanks but unfortunately not. Ive used X and Power to get on to the Recovery Screen, used to be Camera and Power but since the bootloader changed the key combo did too.
The problem isnt that I cant get to the Recovery Screen. I can get to that point. It's once I get to the screen itself (with the exclamation mark etc) theres no menu or way to bring up one using the suggested combination of keys. Therefore I can't get to update.zip to run it.
As far as I'm aware even without openrecovery there should be at least stock menu options but these arent present either :S
same issue here. Have you solved the problem?

[Q] Open recovery/Volume rocker

So I can't boot into open recovery because my Volume rocker up button on my milestone is broke... I wanna get this miui rom off my milestone cause its laggy as crap and its driving me insane. Any work arounds for this? I've tried clockwork recovery with rom manager but it just boots into the triangle with the red exclamation mark in the middle and the bar loads halfway then it errors out and reboots into the miui rom. Anyone have any ideas?
First of all, uninstall ROM Manager. It does not work on Milestone.
As for your problem with volume rocker being broken: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796679&page=26
Thanks man, Yeah I finally read last night that Rom Manager doesn't work on it. I'll let you know If I have any problems. Thanks for being Kind Enough to Reply.
Okay I did what you said and it worked but when i reboot the system it just gets stuck on the motorola m logo.
Nevermind, I cleared data and factory reset while in Open Recovery and it seemed to fix the issue.

It's useful to others to leave the thread. Incidentally I found myself in this situation where my phone rebooted into TWRP with no touch response. It does every time I choose Shut Down with the USB cable plugged in. I was able to force a reboot by holding down all three buttons (power, vol up and vol down) for around 20 seconds.
Hi !!
Few weeks ago, i had the same problem and i didn't know what to do ! If you plug your phone turned off, it starts to TWRP but without touch response. I don't know if a setting or an update can change that (?).
The solution is to soft reset your HOM2 by holding power + volume up during 15sec it will start on android.
u have to flash right kind of twrp
i too faced this situation reflash with another version worked for me
