my external glass braked yesterday.. (pics)
so my question to you guys -
can I replace just the glass (like the one that i have in the picture?)

I saw that there is a few post about it but it wasn't just the glass, It was all the lcd screen..
I'v didn't saw nothing about the glass only as the pic above.

as far as i know, you can't replace just the touch. they are glued togheter

How did you brake gorilla glass?

As far as breaking the screen on an expensive phone being funny, i'm not sure... but I would suggest you buy a replacement that is GENUINE samsung, as ebay imitations will be made of inferior materials that will scratch easier, break easier (and you don't want that considering the one you had) and will impair touchscreen function, you probably also will need to change the unit as a whole including the AMOLED, this is because the screens are glued together and also calibrated together (or I would imagine so following trends of touchscreen technology) Might be costly!

m8 how tht happen jus gessin,my phone fallls all the time,but not a crak on it.go to samsung service center and replace it,i don think ull get the original glass outside...gudluck...

[Q] screen protector

Ok been using a screen protector for a week now and the pen has scratched the hell out of it so my question is why lol and is any body else got this problem. IF not what ones did you buy mines where cheap so I'm hoping that's the reason.

I'm using my note without any screen protector. Not a single screach yet.

i m using "Professional Screen guard" it is anti glare and lill ruff type but it reduce clarity a bit...

Wow... U must have some really bad screen protector.
I bought a pack of 10 off ebay for about 10 dollars, my intention was to use these to learn how to apply a screen guard properly first and then buy a relatively expensive quality screen guard later but surprisingly I never had to buy again, cuz those dirt cheap screen protectors have lasted till now with no scratches even after using stylus extensively. I have about 6 more left ( first 3 had big ass bubbles/dust in it after application)
Maybe Iam simply lucky to have found a good seller

I saw that video along time ago and I followed the steps but the reason i made this thread because the protector wont come off

no I mean that when I try to scratch the side of the screen so the protector will lift so i can pull it

Use a needle to get underneath it, but I managed it with my fingernail, in the hole just above the sony logo

I wouldnt know, as every xperia phone i have got i remove the protector immediately! It is useless and makes the the display worse.

also, I keep my phone in my pocket without any screen protecors or cases. In the same pocket i have my house keys, car keys and loose change and I have never EVER got a scratch on my screen

wow, after 4 xperia phones i have never had this. Obvioulsy my experience is not a gurentee, just my experience.
And you are the first person I have heard of saying this, so if it scratched the glass I am sure it would have scratched the protector as well.

yeah its scratched glass its a piss off lol i odnt even have a clue how it happened going to send it in anywyas having problems with headphone poort since i got it its been creakign and i can pussh it in and my headphones dont owrk sometiems lol so ill probs just end up with new device

That is just the remains of the "glue" used to keep it on, it will feel exactly the same as before soon.

Does anyone know where to buy replacements?
I would love to replace my Sprint blue back with the silver one once it breaks. I know it's only a matter of time...

if under warranty still. Samsung can replace it
that's why i bought screen protector for both back and front for it
if i could find round edge protections i would have bought them as well

A back and new bezel is $145 installed according to the Samsung Service Center in Plano, TX. It's about ninety minutes worth of work and if you're near a service center can be done while you wait.

EBay has spare parts now.

Theres a local, to me, supply company (etech parts) that says they will have them in stock very soon. I know it doesnt help now, but they do have a website. Just search for it, as I dont want to break any rules. There are a few parts on there for the Note 5 now, but the screens, s pen, backs, glass, etc will be there within a few weeks I was told.
Not sure what their pricing will be like, but it will be genuine Samsung parts.

Looks like there is but I think it only comes in the bundle pack. I don't think it is tempered glass. I am considering this. Drop test looks promising.

Fixez is alright the one i got has imperfections but its nice and i love the titanium ill find the link i biught from ive purchased multiple from several retailera mostly to do clear back glass mods i usually Pay $25 usd

I bought one of these:

It has a Samsung logo (can't see too well in image) and they appear legit. But be careful when placing on. You must gently press all around the edges before it seats right in perfectly.

I believe this would be the same procedure as replacing the battery. it would involve using a heat source (a heat gun in the video I have seen) to soften the glue, use some plastic tools to gently pry up the back and apply the replacement (not sure if you have to reheat or not) it does not seem complicated, you just have to be careful and not rush it or you could damage your phone.
As has already been posted the parts can be had from several sources. (one bit of advice - if you are not sure about doing this yourself, you may want to have it done by a professional)

Iface silicone looks cool

I have ipaky bought for 2USD and tampered glass for 1.50USD. They both made they job brilliantly when I dropped phone on concrete. Ipaky survived and glass shattered, but phone and screen itself were intact.

i personally wouldnt use anything to cover phone but plastic screen protect thingy....
more cases etc = more heating = worse battery in long run. not worth it. (i have never dropped any electronic device accidently)

a little heat is a good trade off if you drop your phone multiple times and changing a battery is cheaper than a screen or phone body.

changing battery willl void your warrantly and if its done wrong it can break things in phone permanently. honor 7 isnt openable battery....
for me holding phone properly is best method to keep device as good as possible as long as possible

the front screen is clipped to the housing can be pryied off easily

DBIT has a pretty rugged looking case with a kickstand to boot. I saw it on Amazon co uk.
