Hi
I'm new to galaxy tab(used htc one v before). i have some questions about flashing roms.
I have a GSM galaxy tab with stock 2.2 android rooted(using z4root) and i checked my bootloader with chainfire's app(SGT bootloader or something like that) and i did't need to patch the bootloader.
which one do you recommend? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385153 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613842
which one supports usb host mode?
how can i connect a usb device to the tab?(a picture would be better.)
which is more stable?
Do i have to update android 2.2 to 2.3.3? if yes , please upload the files.
Can i install the rom using CWM recovery? if yes , how can flash CWMR?
Thanks.
Follow the link in my signature.
That is overcome method.
It will bring you to clean gingerbread Rom first, then it will install cwm .
From there you can install either Rom.
Usb host mode is not practical. You need to supply power to the usb from external source.

Yes, that is the way.
Although it is not overcome ROM, just overcome kernel via Odin.

I had a stock Gingerbread running on my P1000 and then, after following instructions from threads here and there,I installed a custom rom of CM 9.0.0 RC1 successfully.
During my installation,I flashed the kernel with odin 1.7 to install CWM on my tab.
Now,I want to use Pandroid Android ROM for jellybean in my tab.
My question is do I need to install CWM with odin again to install a new rom?
I did create a backup of my current ROM but i am unsure whether I need to install CWM with odin to proceed the installation of the Pandroid ROM.
Thanks in advance
No, from cm9 just boot to your current cwm and flash the new Rom.

Thank you very much priyana.
It was your post that actually helped me installed CWM in the first place when i had stock GB.
Thanks again!
Not really digging any of the CM10 roms yet am I crazy or is their no flashable AT&T stock based roms in the dev section? I saw one but its closed because they think the op died.
I want to say there was one on the batakang ftp. Don't know if it's cwm flashable though. There was also a topic on how to deodex the stock rom a few pages back.

What don't you use fastboot to flash to Mexican retail then root with flashable zip. Then just flash a Rom such as batakang rises in cwm just mount system first and it should flash fine I ran that Rom for a while and is good and flashes fine through cwm. Or if you really want stock flash cleanrom haven't tried it but, from the description it's a very debloated stock Rom.

Hi everyone, I'm new to your Droid Bionic forums but managed to quickly learn how to get full root on the 4.1.2 jb verizon update with the help of your great threads. I've also successfully installed safestrap 3.11 as well and now need a little clarification.
My question is:
Once I'm booted into safestrap 3.11, could I install any custom ROM on the stock slot or do I have to make a new ROM slot on 1 or 2 or 3 on my SD card and install custom roms from there?
I'm trying to install Wizzed Bean CN4 4.1.2

Dont install anything on your stock slot for the safety of your phone. Create rom slots, and install roms from there. I also answered the question of the whizzed bean, hope that helps!

Thank you.
Because of JB roms' problem with MHL I'd like to have fast option to revert back to ICS. I'll make a back up of it but first I'd like to learn how make recovery compatible .zip file with ICS rom. Can anybody explain me this? Are there any existing .zip ICS packages?
I think you can back up from CWM although its not possible in Ics

I`m just considering what will happens with CWM after flashing 10f? It`ll be replaced by original recovery?
try making a zip of ics rom. save it to your pc. flash to jb. install native cwm. Port the zio to a flashable one using Zaiben rom
