[Q] Upgraded to Jellybean, phone dies on boot. - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I did an OTA update to Jellybean yesterday which Three (3) put out and it all went smoothly. I was making a phone call today and the phone suddenly died. Now every time I turn it back on it loads and stays on for about 30 seconds at which point it dies again.
I've tried it with/without charger and SD card but it's the same result each time. Tried using Kies to re-install the firmware but the phone doesn't stay on long enough for me to.
Is there anything I can try before giving it to Three for a month?
Thanks.

Download a stock firmware from sammobile and flash it using odin

Maybe when u did the update, the file was corrupted. This could be happened if your internet connection was not stable.
So, to make sure u get the right update. Just download it from sammobile...u can find the right rom for your region...there.
After the download completed, just install it through odin. U can find how to use odin from internet. Just google it

Unfortunately it still dies on boot. I'm thinking it could possibly be the battery?

Just to let you know I got a new battery and the phone is now fine.
Thanks for the help.

batterie is charged.
already tried everything i know
i dont think so that after flashing with 1.85 odin you would get hard brick, i think that you messed up with files in not right sections and baam- brick :/
yes youre right
i just plugged into my pc and windows is searching for samsung mobile usb composite device drivers..

Doesn't switch on after flashing HELP NEEDED

Hi,
my girlfriend just came back from China with a P1000 from her friend. As the whole device was running on chinese language and for some strange reason it was not possible to enter System Setting to change the language, I decided to flash her the latest firmware and just make a fresh start. (i'm a flash veteran on my SGS since 2 years, so I know how to use Odin)
I downloaded the P1000XWJQ8 from Sammobile, fired up Odin and flashed the new ROM with repartition enabled.
The procedure went through without errors:

At the end of it the device didn't auto-boot as expected, it just stayed there with a black screen!!!!!!
Disconnecting and reconnecting it triggers in Odin the REMOVED and the ADDED lines but nothing happens.
I cannot switch on, cannot go into download nor recovery, the device just seems to stay dead :-(
My next idea was trying to pull the battery but apparently the battery is glued to the casing, so before I do more damage, I better start asking here.
Hope someone can help, my girlfriend will kill me if I can't repair this damn thing...
EDIT: after having closed Odin on the PC I tried to connect the device again and it started to play the startup song and Win7 started to install the new drivers from the new firmware. 7 out of 9 found drivers installed correctly, 2 instead failed.
But nothing changed to the vegetarian state of the P1000
EDIT 2: now, after 12 hours wait, the device doesn't do anything anymore when I connect it to the PC, no USB connect, no sign of adding it in Odin. It seems like the charging mechanism doesn't work anymore either. The deivce appears totally dead.
Did you see my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769144? This problem is totally the same as mine.
Is yours rooted? Coz it says here http://www.teamovercome.net/p1000/?page_id=17 that :

[Q] Odin wont flash back to stock

Hello people.
This started couble of weeks ago when my phone suddendly went to factory mode. it wasent rooted and i was running 4.3 so i took it to the repair center. They told me that the phones circuit board needed to be replaced and it would cost 281€. Since the same phone new was only 299€ i declined their repair. then i went on a search for way to repair the phone my self. I wound some ways but they needed a root acces. So i tried to downgrade my phone back to 4.1.2 but for some reason Odin started to give me this error...

I can give more info if needed.
it fails cause you are trying to flash 4.1.2...once you got 4.3 you can't go back...i'm guessing that you get that error when it tries to install the old bootloader(without knox counter)....

[Q] HELP! Phone, CSC, IMEI: UNKNOWN

Hi. I have a very strange problem with my i9305... About 2 days ago I was waken up by the boot sound of my device and since then it was stuck in bootloop. It was not connected to Wifi or cellular data and this seemed very strange. So I booted into philz recovery and tried to factory reset, but no success, when it got to /data partition it rebooted immediately, so I figured I should try to format only that, but it rebooted every time I tried that.. I even tried to restore my rom backup and the result was the same. Went to advanced > show log and got "I:cannot load /data". Installed latest philz and then got "I:cannot load /misc". Switched to TWRP recovery and finally managed to format /data. Switched back to philz and managed to restore backup but in advanced > show log got "I:cannot load /misc"... After restore rom boots fine, but I get a transparent popup with the following:
Phone: Unknown
CSC: Unknown
IMEI: Unknown
Camera doesn't work anymore but Wifi does..
What should I do ?
Tried to flash original latest firmware with Odin but I get error:

Sorry to hear your problem. I lost IMEI after flashing but was lucky enough to be able to use the Param Bin solution. I hope someone with greater skill can advise you. Goodluck.
used odin 3.09 and kk firmware from samsung website?
"About 2 days ago I was waken up by the boot sound of my device and since then it was stuck in bootloop" - looks like a hardware problem to me
for better support of ur problem post it on Sammobile.com in forum section of S3..
u will hv better nd quick response there
Thanks guys, fortunately I did efs backup a while ago and managed to get my phone back in business
Flashed official KK from Samsung then philz and then restored efs backup and later on restored rom backup and now it's like I didn't have the problem. Hope it won't come back.. Thanks again!

[Unbrick Help]! RP/No Load, BL/Wont Install N/A

Hey guys need a little help here, i just bought a motherboard for my girlfriends s5, the old one seemed to overheated and died, yeah seriously. was just sitting on the bed.
I just spent $100 to get an AT&T Mobo, cracked open the phone and installed it. (The LCD is really thin, but to my suprise is really strong)
Stock Android 5.0 L, tried to to downgrade to 4.4.4, realize i cant now because of locked bootloader. trying to just restore back to Android 5 now.
Recovery mode presents " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please select recovery mode in kies"
Download mode presents " SW Rev Check Fail : [aboot] fused > 4 Binary 3 "
I suppose this is because i flashed 4.4.2 in Odin the following
AP, CP, CSC
BL was NOT flashed!
Currently tried to find BL, AP, CP and CSC for 5.0 L, figure it would solve the problem
However my google-fuu leads me no awnsers, Closest thing i could find was.
theandroidsoul dot com /att-galaxy-s5-lollipop-update-odin-firmware-80652/
looks like it will flash 5.0 software, but.
My odin fails everytime i try, I have tried this on two computers, Windows 7 & 8
