Hi. If I want to go back to stock kernel (say I'm using modded kernel on V20A), I just need to flash official V20A KDZ?

Hi all,
Is there a way to backup the stock ROM before flashing a custom ROM in case I want to go back? Or do I perhaps use this one if I want to return?
[ROM]Rooted, deodexed & zipaligned stock flashable rom 10.1.A.1.350| Reuploaded
How do I know if it's the same as mine - eg. with the same languages supported etc.?
Thank you.

Use the recovery to back up and remember which kernel and recovery types were. So that when you want to restore the back up, you flash that kernel or that recovery then restore.
As for that Rom, I don't know if it will be the same as yours. Just try it or ask in that thread.

Can I perhaps use Sony Update Service to return to stock / factory defaults after unblocking the bootloader and flashing a custom ROM?

you may not be doing a full wipe.. if you are.. then there is some problem with the rom or kernel... try downloading an official rom from sammobile.com and do use a safe kernel before flashing a ICS rom..'
1. flash a safe kernel like philz
2. do a full wipe
3. flash ICS rom using pc odin
y don't u flash JB stock or watch my video to get 4.2.2.. link in signature

I do full wipe but maybe something unsuitable for the kernel. I do see/watch your video and follow your link. Now I get a lot of information. Thanks buddy. By the way I'm already in Jelly Bean, I'm flashing ICS just for unrooting.

I didn't change boot loader when i installed 10.1, it is old. So I don't have to change it :good:
So, AIO Toolkit to use, and by your opinion should i use Django ICS ROM?
Thanks

I don't use any ICS Rom, so I couldn't suggest anything.
If you want to go back ICS stock rom, You should use Nvflash to go back GB stock and flash ICS stock Rom.

If you want to instal a recovery, you can use this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281224
