Anyway to tell what mic? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As we know, the double membrane Mic is going to be swapped because of it being exclusive to Nokia. HTC said it would go through the stock of current mics and then switch to a different. is there a way to tell which your phone has?

Quieter Audio with Android Revolution.

Why is the sound volume so much lower compared to stock? Is it the X-Audio tweak? I don't want to have to reinstall the rom all over again just to turn that tweak off. Can you turn off the tweak somewhere? Is your audio a lot quieter? Please help! Thanks. I'm running the latest version of the rom, 9.3 and it is not the kernels fault as it was quite before installing Elemental X.

I just removed Pure X-Audio and it is still really quiet even at max volume. Please help.

It's because HTC lowered the volume on the phone in the latest update to protect the speakers. ARHD is based on the latest version.
Why does everyone need the volume up so high?

They made it quieter than it was it the 1.27 builds but there are ROMs that have supposedly brought the loud audio back.
Maybe they made it quiter because people were complaining it was too loud when at minimum volume in the original firmwares?

I like to listen to music out loud and watch movies. Is there anyway to change it back?

You seem to be knowledgeable on this topic. So can you change it back some how? If so how?

Use a ROM that is based on 1.27 or one that explicitly states that it has brought back loud audio.

I would rather not change ROM's. So there is no way to get something or change something to bring it back?

New mic quality?

Are the new Ones, perhaps including the GPe, shipping with sub-par mics compared to the launch versions? Anyone know?
Thanks

Can I determine build quality from a serial number?

Hi guys,
I have a HTC one with rather bad gaps all around, and the SIM tray doesn't even shut properly. I'll be swapping it on Thursday at p4u, but I don't want to be disappointed.
So, can I tell from my box if the phone will be better?

No one?

Mmm...would be good to know for future reference.
Could be totally random, but I have heard that the black variants don't have the gap problems.

White light under the two sensors?

So, I have this white line of light under the two light sensors in the top left. It's only visible at a extrem angle, tilting the phone so it almost stands on its head. Is this normal or should I get it replaced?
Here's a picture of it.

I don't have that on my phone, no matter what angle I look at it
I had this exact issue. It's due to a gap in the top of the screen. I returned mine and got a new one. I made a thread also: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41201912

Cheers guys, will try to get it exchanged tomorrow. Do you usually get a new phone right away and what should I tell them?
Should I have the box and stuff with me as well?

I took mine directly back to ATT, which was where I bought it. They exchanged it on the spot. I just showed them what i was talking about. They had no other questions for me. Mine was even rooted and unlocked lol.

Low sound 801n

I have two HTC one phone but different models.
1st phone is HTC one "801N" M7_ul.
2nd phone is HTC one "AP801C" M7_Spr.
Why I Created this thread- 801n has low sound output as compared to AP801C, speakers of my 801n are defective?
Question- If the speakers are deffective? It is a hardware problem or software problem. Is there any way to increase sound???
i think this is a hardware problem (with amplifier). You can try factory reset and test it but I don't think it'll help

what is the firmware version on both of your phones?
HTC nerfed the sound via an update because of too many blown speakers. So if one of your phone is running on an old version, it will probably be louder than the other.
