Hi all,
Recently purchased Poweramp and am slowly going through the process of finding out the right levels but has anyone got any ideas of good preset levels?
Also, would you leave beats on or off when using different EQ settings?

I leave beats on eq i have on rock i think it sounds the best one and put bass on to about half way if you're rooted get PureXAudio then you will have the perfect sounds
It's all a matter of taste. Personally I find that there is too much bass with Beat on. I cut it and mix with the equalizer to get a balanced mix.

I turned the volume up all the way in Power amp, and turned volume limiter off for about 2 seconds. It distorted like I hooked it up to a car amp.

Hi guyz, Now am planning to buy a good over the ear headphone for my note. I have finalized the Grado SR80i. Has anybody else tried it with the note ? Or any recommendations other than this?
Have the Grado SR80i and I've been using it together with the Note for over 3 months now. Sounds great! Prior to the Note I had a Iphone 3GS and I can't hear any noticeable differences. The Grado SR80i is a great headphone.
Grado
Have used Grado SR60 since i bought Note. Sounds good. But Voodoo Louder is must have.

Why is Voodoo louder a must have?
If your hearing is really bad you might need it to max the volume.

I never listen to my Grado on max (standard) volume. When I'm at home it's nice and quiet so the volume doesn't have to be that high. When I'm on the train or the bus the volume doesn't go high either because of the open design other people will hear your headphones very clearly. And I don't want to be an A-hole so I turn the volume down a bit.

Because it makes sound not only louder, but also better. So it seems to me. Comparing with and without it is showing difference on same volume level.

Didn't thought about it that way. But maybe because it really amps your signal more it's able to drive your headphones better. Might be giving it a try, thanks matikl
sennheiser mm550
Sennheiser mm550 is a good headphone, been using it, pretty good noise cancelling, and audio is crystal clear.
if you can get poweramp, it is a good app to enjoy music, play around with the eq to hit the best possible sound
Hello, I preordered the HTC One and the otterbox case and Anker battery pack. My question is do I need to purchase special ear buds to enjoy the Beats Audio? Thanks
nope.
besides, beats earpieces and headphones are trash.
for that dumb price i'd rather get a pair of final audio
beats mode in the One is a preset eq (which is quite good) and sports a dedicated amp too

Hey guys,
So after a lot of time on custom roms with different sound mods, i finally came back to stock, but now i have the impression that my speakers volume is very low, others phone like my old Nokia Asha 302 cover my HTC One while both play music(the same song). Is the volume that low on stock, or i have a problem on soft/hardware part?
Clean your speaker grills with a toothbrush. I'm 95% sure that will fix your problem

I hear you man, I have an Asha 200 and its speaker is loud as hell. But it doesn't sound as good as the one. You're not gonna get higher volume on your One, but you will get better quality

My first phone was an nokia 6234. I've nevere had any phone as loud as it. But i must admit that sound quality from htc one is awesome, but if it was a little bit louder it was perfect..

You can try a sound mod like Project ERA or intense blast (I think that's what it's called).
I have buy this device and disapponted about music volume. Its not loud as i wanted to be. Tried three different headphones, its really disappoint ing. Is there any app or secret code to increasing sound?
Root and viper4android.

What headphones? I used some earbuds earlier and it got uncomfortably loud and I had to turn it down which is unusual for me.
Though I haven't tried any of my "good" headphones yet.
Just tried some music with my AKG K712 and it plays at a decent level, not as loud as the headset, but still loud enough I wouldn't be comfortable turning it up.
get a headphone amp if you can't wait for root. I'd still get one with root anyways. if it's too quiet you may be using headphones with too high an impedence and need an amp.
Yeah right, I love this sounds. I can't believe I almost bought a different phone just for the audio. This phone blows me away. I'm using beats solo and I can't have it up all the way and I listen to my music to make my ears ring.
have you tried the Adapt sound option?
Yes i have tried. Its very weak. I have two note5, two are has same sound volume. Im using sennheiser cx 300 headphone. Its was very good on my old note 3. I dont want to root because there is not enough development and i think right now it doesnt worth to comrimise the warranty. Poweramp replay gain options really helps if it anyone care.

I NEED more volume. I'm running Pure Nexus and I'm 99.99% sure that this isn't ROM related.
I drive an 18 wheeler, the 2016 model that I just got only has two small 3.5inch speakers and the factory radio is limited in volume to cover up the fact that they used crappy speakers and keep them from distortion at high volume levels. I have tried Viper and Arise to no avail. I mainly stream iHeartRadio and Amazon music so I'm pretty sure that those mods wouldn't work with those apps anyways. Any help is appreciated.
The volume is louder with the charger plugged in than when it isn't but still isn't loud enough for me.

Hi , I also like a bit more volume so I use elemental X kernel where you can up your volume very easy .
You can also do this , https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-to-boost-audio-t2961352

What have you tweaked using Viper? Are you rooted, since viper needs root to work..
in Viper, turn on the master power, and turn the playback control to INF, and that should be enough volume to blow your ears out; if not, then its something else..
And, those apps work just fine with Viper..
I run elemental kernel and have tried to adjust the sound options with it and VIPER, I'm beginning to think I may have a issue with the jack itself on my phone or the radio. My previous vehicle I was able to Bluetooth to the radio so this is the first time I've had to use the AUX input. I appreciate your help.

Replace the speakers and the stereo. The speakers in your truck are low wattage, and trying to increase the volume is only going to cause more distortion. There are auto speakers out there in the 3.5" size that can pump out the volume, because they can handle a higher wattage than the stock cans.
The stereo is salvageable with an amplifier, but an aftermarket stereo usually has more features and a higher output.
Everything is good now. I reset back to stock and then flashed a clean 7.1.1 PN image. Viper and the sound mod in Elemental works as it should. Thanks for the replies.
