Bought the Note mainly for the battery (and I have been amazed with it overall) what, in your opinion is the best ROM, ROM/Kernel for battery life.
Right now I'm using Rocket and Speed mod but I've found stock to be very similar in regards to battery

Which one will last longer?
ICS or JB ?

U got roughly 8hrs of usage from stock ICS so how much shorter or longer for JB anyone tried?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
whats 8 hrs of usage ? moderate?
i get almost 3-4 hrs of screen on time with wifi of JB
In my experience the battery on a good ICS ROM will last longer than on a good JB ROM. By "good" I mean with the same battery optimizations, or being both stock without customizations. However, it's not a big difference; for me, screen on time is almost the same, but the overall time is somewhat better on ICS.
8 hour of moderate web surfing, wifi on, the screen wake up time like 2 to 4hrs. Or I should consider a back up battery?

Personal opinion.
Jb leak sva 5.1 much much more last longer than any ics custom rom i had been try.
For ics, combination of speedmod+any custom rom will give you the best battery life.
For jb, since there is only philz kernel. Therefore, sweetrom v1 and sva5.1 will be the best choice in terms of battery performance.
Try yourself. ...

both will have the same battery life if optimized to correct level. personally i dont see any difference in battery on ICS and JB
For me stock ics is still rocking. With stock no worries or compatibility issues. Battery life is great talking about 4.0.4 LR8. The german stock ics has few reported issues with battery life.

My Battery just passed the 1 year and 1 month and I have to charge like 3 times a day for heavy use. Is my battery spoiled?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
some china knock off unofficial batteries loses charge like that. the stock battery hopefully doesn't deteriorate that fast. my stock is still quite healthy. but i have multiple batteries that I rotate through so I don't use my stock battery as much.

are you sure you got slimbean (AOSP) to work with Philz kernel
If my screen time is just around 2hrs. Should I consider changing new battery? Wifi, 3g on. Screen brightness is set to minimum.

I make this thread so that we can find the best kernel for nexus 4 and also the difference between the franco , trinity, and matrix and motley kernel.
So post ur experience and also share screen shot for battery like battery screen ,graph and screen time.
In this way we can also help the developers to build their kernel more good...

These threads are frowned upon here at XDA for numerous reasons: there's no real answer, they turn into pissing matches and trolling, and this is actually the worst way to find the "best" kernel.
The one and only way to find what's "best" is for you personally to read and take the time to flash kernels and use them for several days under various real-world scenarios. Then and only then can you know.

With good battery life?

There's no such thing as a best ROM, especially when it comes to battery life. Everyone will have their own preferences when using ROMs and everyone will use their phone differently and therefore have different results in regards to battery life.
Due to that, the only thing you can do is to test them out by yourself so that way you'll know which one is best FOR YOU.

Hello Peeps,
I have a Nexus 5 with Cataclysm Rom and Faux123 Kernel. Previously I was using the CyanogenMod and Franco Kernel.
I looked around the forums for a thread on this but couldn't find one.
So I decided to make this thread so that we can argue out the top few kernels that really improve the Nexus 5 battery life. Some people were saying that the Faux123 kernel did improve the battery life but honestly I don't see much of a difference.
I also undervolted my device by 50 mV. So what is a good kernel for the Nexus 5?

There's a reason you couldn't find any comparison threads- Rule 4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2500184
