Hi Dennis,
i am from Denmark and i also have the Htc one nordic verified edition. I saw your post when seaching in google for "htc one stock nordic" but without any luck. My HTC one was out of order for one day.
Then i gave it another chance and fixed my problem.
If you can still go into recovery mode then it should help you.
The way i did it was to go recovery mode "teamwin recovery project 2.5.0.0"
then into advanced
then into ADB sideload
Swipe to start sideload
Then connect the phone to the pc via the usb cable.
in your pc go to when you saved the android sdk files the file you need is adk.exe open a commend prompt in the windows by holding down "shift" on the keyboard same time you right click in the white area with your mouse, and choose "open command prompt here"
then write adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip
f.ex. i wrote "adb sideload C:\htc root\TrickDroid_5.5.1.zip"
then wait for the file to transfer to your phone after that i had to restart my phone into recovery again. and then i choose install and there was a sideload.zip in the dir it open witch was containing the rom.
I hope it helps you, sorry for the bad english.
Trickdroid is very close to stock rom but have the possibility to tweak into what you need % battery, remove 3 dot menu and much much more.
download it here. t r i c k d r o i d . o r g
I hope to hear from you if it works or not and will be happy to help if i can. But i am also very new to android, tried it for the first time for two weeks ago after being a Apple fanboy for five years.
Btw take a look at y o u t u b e . c o m /channel/UC7YzoWkkb6woYwCnbWLn3ZA he has a lot of good videos about how to root and unroot and much more about HTC One

Any x.xx.401.x RUU will work with your CID. Are you S-off ? that's the first step to returning to stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082

Thank you very much for the response. I was already S-OFF.
I found this RUU over here:
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...0-38r-1157-04l_release_353069_signed_2-1-exe/
i got the link from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276
and following this guide: http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/return-stock-guide/
However, i had to do a few things differently.
I started with hboot 1.56 S-OFF and Unlocked, with the "tampered" sign too
1. Installed the RUU - perfectly fine, still unlocked, tampered and s-off (of course )
2. The RUU actually removed the tampered sign, but I had to still lock the bootloader.
3. Using the link from the tutorial, installed custom recovery and superuser again, and locked it.
4. however, the bootloader got "Locked" with "Tampered" on top of it... So that's annoying...
5. Here I decided to run the RUU again so i just get rid of the damn tampered sign, cuz it seemed logical and easy to do.
6. It worked! So after that i just got S-ON back
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
I updated to latest radio and hboot and I gave the phone to HTC to fix the chip. Or hopefully replace the whole phone (the screen is a little cracked )
Just a tip: If you are on windows 8.x you will need to install a 32-bit Visual C++ Redistributable. I installed them all (2008, 2010 and 2012), but i guess 2012 would've been enough. Otherwise the RUU will just close after the first 2 steps.
Cheers

This one is a downgrade in version so can't be flashed with s-on
@t-mobile_mda:
flash the 4.19.401.9 firmware then the 4.19.401.9 ruu.exe (signed) (you can extract the firmware from the ruu.exe)
you will need to flash it using windows 7 since your phone is on hboot 1.44 (will not work on windows 8)
Btw if you want s-off, better to achieve it now on hboot 1.44 before updating to a newer version.

[Q] Htc one dead? Please help

Hello guys, :crying:
I saw that many ppl had problem with htc one bootloop but I didn't saw that someone had problem like mine.
So my HTC ONE started to update automatically (official update) and crashed at about 50% and restarted. After crash my phone not working anymore... Just stoped at second boot img (which starts with sound). So I started to look info in this forum how can I fix it. I rooted my phone, flashed recovery (cwm) and when wiped cache and data factory after that it gone even worse now its just stops at first boot img (gone starting sound)
Than I started to look for more information one website told to try flash stock rom or any other. So I did it.. But It came EVEN WORSE now my pc reads htc one as cd drive and after flashing again cwm getting error messages in recovery mode like that:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open cache/recovery/last_log
Soo I started to look deeper where can be a problem and found website which told to wipe cache data and etc I did everything what i could did but nothing changed it still freezes at boot first img.
So maybe someone knows how to fix this HTC ONE? Or its dead? :crying:
P.S sorry for my bad english...

If there is a RUU available for your CID/model ID, I would try that. That's the best idea I could suggest, otherwise you need some more educated advice.

I don't think there are any RUUs for 2.24 yet. Are you S-Off?
maybe you can post a "fastboot getvar all" to see you're phone details (remove IMEI and serial number before posting)

OK, so you're on hboot 1.54 -> NO S-OFF at the moment, don't bother trying.
But I'm confused, you have a M7_UL (LTE) version of the HTC One, but your firmware says 1.29.651.10 which is Sprint so it should be M7_WLS model.
So is yours a Sprint version or the international one??

Then the firmware you have (1.29.651.10) is definitely not for your phone. I believe the latest official firmware is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
for your MID/CID (PN0710000/HTC__001) the latest is "firmware.zip from 2.24.401.1". Follow the thread details with care, since you're S-On you won't be able to downgrade or flash unsigned firmware, so I think that is your only way to go.
Once you have the firmware properly installed, go ahead and reflash latest CWM recovery (or TWRP if you prefer), then flash your favourite ROM. I'm using ARHD 13.3 which is very close to stock and has nice improvements and features.

Incorrect. You are confusing bootloader unlock, which is typically done via HTC dev website with S off which is completely different and is obtained via revone, but only if you're on older hboot 1.44 which came installed on earlier HTC One made before May 2013 (approximately)

Normally for dead htc one phones, you need to
relock your bootloader and flash a RUU.zip which is the stock 4.1.2.

Since you're S-ON, you cannot use a downgrade ruu, but you're in luck, there's the same version RUU.ZIP here: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...0-01_release_318486_signed_2_4_decrypted-zip/
rename that to ruu.zip
since you're S-ON, you'll need to have relock bootloader then:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip <-yes TWICE !!!
fastboot reboot-bootloader

[q] help: Problem getting back to stock

I have tried loading the stock RUU into my HTC One and I got the following error:

I have read the forum and it seems that I might be using the wrong RUU (I have tried a couple), can any one point me to the right RUU? I am looking for the stock ruu. Currently my phone only boots to fastboot, if I don't go into fastboot it just goes into a black screen.
The details on the phone below:
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0712000

Also, if it gives anyone an idea of what might be causing the problem, following is the text on top of my fastboot screen:
***TAMPERED***
***RELOCKED***

Actually if you are using the correct RUU then you will have to type the "fastboot flash zip insertzipname.zip" twice. The first one is a preparation and the second one is the one to flash it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497614

Developer Edition
use this RUU
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...r_brightstarus_wwe_3-22-1540-1-decrypted-zip/
From @nkk71 Guide
Flash your RUU.zip
Download your MID & CID compatible RUU.zip
Rename the downloaded file to ruu.zip (careful about ruu.zip.zip in Windows)
In bootloader/FASTBOOT USB, flash it:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip <- yes TWICE, the first one will report “failed flush again”, the second one will succeed.
fastboot reboot-bootloader

in case you have trouble finding it
here's @nkk71 guide >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
and here's the part on downgrading hboot
If you’re on hboot which is above 1.44, then first thing is to downgrade that:
so download this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/1-29-401-12_hboot_1-44-zip/
in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB, flash it:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 1.29.401.12_hboot_1.44.zip
fastboot flash zip 1.29.401.12_hboot_1.44.zip <---- just in case the above said “failed flush again”
fastboot reboot-bootloader
--> and confirm hboot is now 1.44

I haven't seen a 4.06.1540.3 RUU around, so you wont be able to flash an older one because you're s-on.
Why do you need to go back to stock?
Anyway, if you just need to get your ROM back to original, then you can just flash "Download stock odexed 4.06.1540.3"
from here: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
EDIT: otherwise you need to S-Off, and then use a ruu

well then simplest (quick & dirty) way, is to
1- install the odexed ROM from the link above.
2- flash the stock recovery (also available on above link)
but there's no OTAs after 4.06 at the moment (AFAIK)

no, you need to install it via TWRP, get
2.6.3.3: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
or 2.6.3.4: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
^^ make sure MD5 is correct, download managers fail on that site.
install that using:
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.zip
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
--> enter RECOVERY
then either use adb push, adb sideload, or OTG cable to INSTALL that <name of rom>.zip in custom recovery.
then put stock recovery back using same commands as above.

well that explains alot
you have to push the file to your phone and flash it from custom recovery.
adb push rom.zip /data/media/0
then in recovery install / rom.zip

[Q] Downgrading from 4.4. to 4.3

Morning everyone,
I have been reading for days trying to get a handle on downgrading my phone to JB 4.3. I am s-off, unlocked, rooted, with current TWRP installed. I also am using SuperSu. I suspect I am just not using the right combination of programming. My first thought is that I need the correct Hboot to go with the ROM I want. Currently I am on Android 4.4.2 with sense 5.5. Software is 4.18.502.7 CL302626. I have loaded a custom Hboot which removed the developer red text. and have also removed the tampered warning with a bit of help from here. I am quite happy with remaining s-off and unlocked. I am decent with ADB commands. I understand Linux fairly well, and can even use a hex editor in a crude way.
The last 4.3 RUU_exe and RUU_zip would not complete. The EXE stated not compatible. The ZIP failed looking for the Android-info_txt. I looked in the ZIP file thinking it might need modified and did not find the Android-info file at all. Lead me to believe that I may not be hitting the correct file for my use. So, at the risk of asking a repeated question I have finally come here for a push in the right direction.
I have not messed with all of this since I modded my old EVO 4G from Sprint. The new Android system worked well in stock form. I started down this road because of my desire to move back to 4.3
And I did attempt to use the search function but did not find exactly what I want. Appreciate any help I may be able to get.

No! you don't have to flash hboot to be able to flash a rom, you can flash a 4.4 Rom even if i.e you are on hboot 1.44.

android-info.txt should be inside ruu.zip, however if you have the correct ruu for your mid/cid you should not have to modify the android-info.txt
Answers
Will do my best to answer.
1) Your example was a newer ROM on an older Hboot. I am going to older ROM on newer Hboot. Any difference.
2) No intention of turning S-on. Understand risks of modified Hboot. I do have stock Hboot if needed.
3) The RUU.exe is RUU_M7_UL_SENSE 5.0_MR_Cingular_US_3.17.502.3_Radio_4A19.3263.13_10.38j.1157.04_release_334235_signed_2
4) The RUU.zip is RUU Zip M7_UL_JB43_Sense50_MR_Cingular_US_3.17.502.3-decrypted
5) I did not copy the prompt screne on the ADB failure. I believe it was a parsing failure 24 on the Android-info.txt
6) Yes, using fastboot mode. Showing Fastboot USB and entering into the screen with the silver HTC logo.
7) I am honestly not sure if I checked both items for md5 sums.
8) I have to copy and paste the get var yet.
Working on the rest.

I was using the stock Hboot from the OTA via AT&T. I put in the modified one to drop the ugly tampered stuff. Though that might have had something to do with my problem. And tried again with the modified Hboot.
Checked both md5s and good to go there.

1) META INF folder
2)system folder
3)boot.img
Sure does not work for fastboot!!! I found a zip on here that had the right file name and was odexed. Downloaded, checked the md5, then unzipped to read the Android-info.txt file. All looked right. Made a backup of phone and loaded it on in.
Succsess!!! Of course I had to put TWRP back in and root the phone.
So, brief sequence of what I did:
1) OTA update from 4.3 to 4.4.2 caused problems with applications
2) Phone in stock form with Hboot 1.56
3) Unlocked phone - HTCdev website used
4) Rooted phone with SuperSU and installed TWRP
5) Played with ROMS and did not like any of them, decided to revert back to 4,3
6) Phone would not S-off with stock ROM using Rumrunner
7) Ended up with the combination of Android Revolution HD and Firewater. Used my UBUNTU Linux to perform S-off.
8) Back-up performed
9) Used zip file and fastboot to load 4.3
10) Now have Hboot 1.56 with 4.3 unlocked, stock Hboot, and S-off.
Thanks for listening to my rantings.
Maybe this will help someone else with an AT&T HTC One.

Cant downgrade from gpe / 5.01

Hi, Hope this post is in the right place, apologies if not.
I recently got a HTC One (M7) which was already unlocked, S-OFF and rooted and had 4.4 on it but i wanted to upgrade that OS so installed GPE and then it updated a few times to 5.01 which was all good but now i want to go back to 4.4 and this is the problem i'm having.
I'm in the UK using a O2 UK RUU file which i know does work but now when i go to use it i get as far as 'Checking Header' (5%) and thats it ..it wont go any further? I have tried in compatibility mode but that just returns errors.. I am using Fastboot & ADB tools and tried pushing the firmware but i'm really quite a novice when it comes t stuff like this ..
I tried fastboot getvar and all i get it a list of commands now which i dont understand
I do know my CID is 111111
Here's the Bootloader Info:
*** UNLOCKED***
M7 UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID 11111111
HBOOT 1.54.0000
RADIO 4T.30.3218.21
OPEN DSP v34.120.274.0429
OS 5.11. 1700 .3
All i want to do it flash the phone back to original Stock with OS 4.4 ..
also, when i try to go into recovery it wont let me, i get the green android laying on his back with a red exclamation on him and pressing up with power dont take me into recovery.
Any idea's please?
I would like to thank xda and it's members for all the help previously.. thanks guys

Flash the firmware that matches your RUU first
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then flash the RUU ... RUU gets stuck on the Hboot update step, flashing firmware first eliminates this problem

Hi and thank you for your help.. i tried looking for the correct firmware.zip but after trying to flash it i get errors and 'fails' i'm not exactly sure which firmware i should be using - i did go to HTC site and selected what i thought were O2 UK FW files (1 was MR 3, 1 MR2 and 2 x zip files) so i assumed the .zip files were the FW files but its with these i got the errors. When i flashed them it did read them but aftr a few seconds returned a fail.
The RUU i am trying to put back on is RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_O2_UK_4.20.206.16_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353143_signed_2 which i know works on my device as i used it before i installed the GPE.
Any ideas please? I'm sorry i cant provide any more information.

Well you phone is having a bit of an identity crises
you have hboot 1.54 ( assume it's the Dark bootloader for GPE)
your Firmware version is 6.x.401.x which is for the International version
and your CID is O2
I'm going to recommend you convert to International by changing you CID
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
then flash this firmware
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407574077
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
followed by this RUU
http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe
or
RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe - 1.50 GB
Maybe a little late but you could also try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
Go to post #2 and follow those instructions. Then flash whatever RUU you want.
I converted to GPE one time, didn't like it and also had trouble getting back to KK.

Thanks again for the help.. much appreciated - im using TWRP v2.7 and wiped the whole phone by accident - i'm trying to push (adb sideload fw_4.19.401.9_custom.zip) but keeps coming back as no device - i have a yellow exclamation in device manager under 'other devices' 'one' and cant seem to find a windows 7 driver for this? once i can push or sideload the firmware i can flash it correct?
Thanks again
So to refresh my memory, you were on stock GPE and want to go back to stock sense correct? Now you have wiped the phone using twrp and twrp is all that is left?

Yes thats correct - i'm new to all this flashing stuff but have been reading lots of various posts on xda ...
This is whats returned from fastboot flash:

and...
C:\Users\Craig\Desktop\platform-tools>adb push zip fw_4.19.401.9_custom.zip

i really dont know what to do now - i have all the correct files in the platform tools folder where i run the fastboot & adb commands (firmware & ruu) and have changed the CID to HTC___001
When i'm in recovery mode (TWRP) i get the yellow exclamation (screenshot hopefully attached)
First you need to get the driver working. Click on "one" and see if you can select from a list of devices on the pc. Now if the last working firmware on the phone was gpe then you need to push/sideload a gpe based Rom. This is because the partition structure is different than sense. You need to get a working Rom onto the phone first.

Need some help getting back to stock.

I've been trying to get this to work for about 5 hours now but unfortunately I seem to have hit a brick wall. I've read a lot of the info on this forum and I've definitely made some progress, but I've been stuck on a "FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)" when I tried to fastboot flash a RUU zip file.
I'll try to include as much information as possible!

Files at this link are Firmware and not RUU, half of them are custom made firmware which requires S-OFF to be flashed.
Flash the 7.19.401.22 RUU then you'll get 2 ota updates
