I can not use my gps, it take about 5 minute to lock, and when it locked it drop the signal again so it's useless for me right now.
It was not so before I update to JB, is it someone else that have the same problem?
I have not root my phone and I don't want to do it, is it someone that know if I could do something to solve the problem?

Please can someone explain step by step how to root, I have read lot of threads and I am stunned, for some it seems to work, and for some it does not work, so please can someone explain how to do and link me what I need, to root my 4xhd v20a
I need to get my gps to work or I'll send the phone warranty: ( and that would take many weeks to have it back.
I tried it with a gps signal app yesterday and I did not see a single satellite. but on v10 it work like a sharm.

Root is simple and can be undone by flashing the same version or going back to ics then updating with official jelly bean by LG.
Here you go with rooting LG P880 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688
this works without any problems. Everything you need is in this file. And its also explained step by step.
Have fun.

I contacted the manufacturer's service center, my phone was repaired within 40 minutes. The engineer replaced the motherboard and it worked.

Hello! New member here so please excuse me if I'm posting to the wrong forum or anything like that.
Not to take long of your time, I can't get my phone to boot. It shows the 2 LG logos and won't proceed beyond that. So I need to know if there's a way to flash a ROM and a Recovery with it like that.
Thanks for the help.

Are you rooted? Or try smart flashing your phone.

You need to be more patient then waiting just over an hour. Technically it's against the forum rules to bump a thread within 24 hours which is what your second post is doing.
You need to remember just because people view the thread it doesn't mean they know anything about the subject. I view all threads in here but only post when I know the answer (or when I have to advise people ). Just wait and you'll eventually get an answer.
Thanks
AvRS

I've been using the following app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite
It lets you chose the colour, flash frequency etc for various different notification events.
For instance I've used it to make my SMS notification flash blue very quickly.
I think I found the app via this forum

I havent used that app so I cant confirm anything. But looking at the app's description in the play store it has all the instructiosn yo will need.
Its your choice to root, but dont forget, that you can grab a ftf file of your CLEAN rom via PCCompanion or SUS and flashtool that you can flash if you want to go back to an nrooted device.

Will rooting void warranty?
Once unrooted would Sony be able to tell if phone was rooted?
Sent from my LT30p using Tapatalk 2
Yes, but you can always flash a stock FTF and go back to factory settings, Sony won't be able to tell then. Just make a FTF file from a PC companion or SUS update before you root.p

Should work all the time without force closing. Ridiculous.
I have LT30at and get force close everytime at welcome screen.

I sent them an email to try and get my money back.
I have this same, when I launch a game app always crash to main screen...
It works on mine. Increasing dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit should be enough. But root is needed.

Locked bootloader has nothing to do with root access.
Use bin4ry's method version 15.

Make sure you download and install sony backup and restore apk if your device did not come with it preinstalled.

If you are on the latest firmware the only way to root is by unlocking the bootloader, Bin4ry's method does not work in the latest firmware

Download Root explorer, find file named build.prop in /system, open it for editing, find the line dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit and increase it to 96m for example. It should be enough.
Hi there!
Well this is a pretty simple thing: I have a SE Arc S and Im thinking on getting a LG 4x! Since you guys have been using it do you recommend it? Also I know that it comes or is upgradeable to ICS, but is it going to get JB?
Is the root process easy? Bootloader unlock? Etc.
I appreciate all feedback!
Thanks
