Font editing help: I want to merge TTF files - Android Themes

OK so I'm looking to theme my tablet up to look like old school honeycomb (I hated honeycomb's lag but loved the look!). So I've started to edit some fonts to have the honeycomb look but here's the issue: my notification bar clock uses the same font as the entire system font (RobotoRegular.ttf). So how can I take my system RobotoRegular.ttf and replace only the 0-9 digits and the comma with the honeycomb ones from an AndroidClock_Solid.ttf I have from honeycomb? Yes I know the numbers will show up through the entire system, but I would rather have that than this boring clock in my notification bar. Thanks!

Help changing lockscreen transparency

Just like the subject says.
I am now running the leaked Gingerbread on my Droid X
I know when 3.4.2 was leaked it, the notification window was not transparent, and someone manipulated services.jar and then the transparent png in framework-res.apk would then show truely transparent or to the degree of transparency we wanted.
The lockscreen on GingerBread is slightly transparent, but not enough to see the wallpaper that is selected.
Does anyone know what controls this? Is this also located in services.jar?
I would be extremely grateful if I could get some assistance on this.
On 3.4.2, I combined the water-marked theme, Blueberry theme, and much of my own work and had my phone themed to my personal liking, and would like to complete that for GingerBread as well.
The non-transparency of the lock screen is bugging me and I bet i'm not the only one.

(Request) Galaxy Tab 10.1 Status Bar

Hi all,
I'm really not a fan of the stock Tron-Like status bar and am thinking about changing it. I have looked into it and can prob figure out how to do everything bar the clock. Would it be possible for someone to walk me through this, or even better provide a CWM flashable zip to change from Stock Xoom to Stock Galaxy Tab?
I'm currently running stock UK 3.1 as i haven't seen a need to Root up until now. I would prefer to stay on the UK 3.1 also, as although i have tried Hammerhead and Morray, i dislike the soundset for the lock-screen and keyboard. (mainly the KB is far too quiet!)
Many Thanks in Advance!
Dex
it wouldn't be hard to change but it would require a rom that has the images you want and we could only change images.
I'm searching for the images now! Its weird, all the images on the Web show the Galaxy 10.1 as having different icons, but every rom i download has Stock HC ones...

For some odd reason everyone likes the stock ones. I don't on my build of mantaray i have the icons and clock font changed. You'll probably have to find a stock rom to get images.
I'll keep looking, in the mean time, i have worked out how to change the font of the clock - do you have any clue on how to change the colour?
Thanks
Just outta curiosity how did u change the font for the clock? I have font changer but I just want to change the clock font

So keunhuvac has ported a touch wiz theme to the xoom but it's for tiamat 2.1 it works with 2.2 but you lose all the new moray features but the images are there anyway http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16312414

Hi Everyone,
I've been modding my install of Moray for the last couple days - changing images and backgrounds, trying to remove as much of the blue blur as I can. I've used some images from a tab 10.1 rom I downloaded. I've been pretty successful at this so far.
I've also changed the stock clock, but once I replace the font files, the clock on the lockscreen has a lot of extra space between it and the date, as well a very little bit of the left side is cut off. Any suggestions as to how this can be solved?
Snapshots are below of before & after.

I noticed the font not quite fitting on the lock screen too, so for now i've gone back to stock font for that.
I've used the Galaxy Tab icons and given them the same colour as the Wifi and Battery icons, then used the DroidSans font for the clock and used the same colour there too.
Here is a screen, its simple but far preferable.

How did you change the status bar font, and leave the lockscreen font as stock? Which of the three stock files did you modify?
Also, how did you change the colour of the clock in the status bar? I assumed this was possible with xml files, buti haven't adventured into this area yet.

The status bar clock colour can be changed in SystemUI.apk/res/layout-xlarge/status-bar-notification-area.xml, under the entry "holoclock"
I changed only the AndroidClock-Solid.ttf for the font, the other 2 fonts combine to make the lock screen and notification pop-up font.
All is explained really well on the XML editing here on method 2 in post 3.
Hope This Helps
I would like to change the status bar too!
Here are the pngs for
Wifi
Battery
And toggles (bottom left)
You can edit them how you like and place the in the right apks
(systemui or framework.res)
inside the zip tells you where i got them from
Hope it helps!

Which fonts do what - Change desktop and app tray font?

Quick question.
I am trying to change the some fonts on my phone. I know clocktopia, droidsans, and droid-sand bold are the main fonts for most of the phone and applications.
But there are like 15 other fonts listed. What are they for. Or at least can someone tell me which one(s) are for the desktop and app tray? Thats really the only font left Id like to change.
Thanks.
Anyone know?
Are you on ICS

Did you set dependencies on framework-res and RES_cappuccino? That should fix the missing .9's.

found out about the RES_cap through trial and error but it says framework-res isnt the dependee, ill figure it out, at the point now where i have to all i have left is xml edits.
Hey, just a heads up, I don't think the link with instructions for hiding status icons i sent you is accurate when it comes to hiding the GPS icon. I tried it but couldn't get it to work. Also, any chance of hiding the alarm clock too?
I also noticed that the trash can for removing apps/Widgets from the desktop is ick color. I haven't found any other remnants of wrong colors, which is quite impressive for a first theme. Kudos to you my friend.

You mean the plain colored quick pop up trash can or the red android at the top?
I Skipped over all the widgets and home screen long press menus cause I never used em, i'll take a look
And as for the icons I saw that in Notepad++ couldn't find those exact instances, codes a bit different but similar, didnt wanna break anything so didn't touch yet...more research required (gotta learn some c++) but definitely am hiding alarm headphone and gps icons...
bear with me as i have literally never done any of this before and learning in between working 2 jobs leaves little time.
as all ways thanks for Testing / Rockin DirtyKang

Simply just making the icon all transparent with no logo would simply take it away but not sure if there'd still be a space in the status bar.
There will be, tried that already. lol
I'm trying to edit the status_bar.xml to remove/change the formating of space to even allow it to be drawn there, wich was easy enough but apk tools bein stubborn, i posted my log in general HERE.
Ok, I found out why the SystemUI.apk won't recompile for you. There are two files that need to be deleted, and you need to replace one other file that is corrupted.
Decompile your SystemUI.apk. All the relevant files are in res/drawable-hdpi/ First, delete:
status_bar_close_on.png
statusbar_background.png
Those files are redundant because they have .9 versions. Then you need to delete status_bar_close_on.9.png and replace it with a file of the same name. For some reason, this file is corrupt and is screwing things up.
You can then also just drop my statusbar.xml into the res/layout/ folder.
As proof of concept, here is the status_bar_close_on.9.png from ICK and my statusbar.xml (with appropriate color and 2.6dip for the top buffer) dropped into your theme:
https://www.box.com/s/796e172de222cba000b9
I don't remember if you had the date in the statusbar the same cyan color, but after flashing the above zip, the date, usb, and debugging icons in the status bar are white.

Mmm... neither of those sound like what I have. When I long press an app on the desktop, a gray bar with a dark blue trash can slides down from the top. I'm using just the default adw theme, so it might look different for me than you.

I definitely feel your pain. I'm in the middle of law finals and am desperately looking for excuses to avoid studying for my last final tomorrow =) Learning how to theme sounded much more fun =)
I believe that trash can is specific to the launcher you would have to theme the launcher.

So I changed the statusbar background to a transparent png and the status bar does become transparent upon reboot. however it becomes dark again after I open an app or turn the screen on and off.
I also changed the png to show an extra bar of signal, but it still shows one bar for some reason. Can some one please help me here.

I really appreciate you for trying to figure it out on your own how to do this stuff, instead of just asking someone else to do it Well First off, you can't edit the signal bars to show more signal. it's gonna show what the network provides. Next the statusbar background. you edited the right image, but you didn't add it's 9 patch back after you edited it to transparent. So I edited the image correctly for you. Just so you know inside the tools folder in your android sdk you will see draw 9 tool use that to add the 9patch back into your image before you compile it back. Also I should note that the statusbar will appear solid in most HTC apps like blinkfeed, appdrawer, etc. htc draws the statusbar from the background images in lots of it's apks. Anyways attached is your apk. It should be what your looking for.
