My mobile still reboot after trying many ways to fix it.. - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My screen stuck in "Unlocked Booloader.." and reset again and again, (this happended after i'm root it). I've tried many ways to fix it, include: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218273. but have nothing..
The problem is that my computer doesn't reconigse my mobile. I can't go to "Recovery screen" by holding both "Power button and vol -" or ues file .bat. It still warning" device not found" and reset my phone despite of my drivers are fully installed
Sorry you guys because of my English, its not very well..
I'm very appreciated if any one find the way to fix it for me, i'm very confused now . Is it will be bricked forever ??. My moto xt890 is only 3 days old

Are you sure you booted it up correctly? Try holding down power and vol - until it vibrates. As soon as you feel it release power and hold vol - only. You have to be really quick though. Then you should be able to go to fastboot and reflash a new system image.
You can use this tutorial for more instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157162

[Q] Need help razri dead

Hello I really need help, I'm sorry for my english I'm Brazilian. Well here we go I have a Razr Xt890 (Bootloader Unlock + Root)
* I was doing a tutorial scripts (Tweak) and changed the "dalvik.vm.heapsize =" from 128m to 48m ... sent as the tutorial, then hung up the phone when I call him again caught on screen 'WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED' and now will not start but is dead, push the (Power and Volume -) and it reboots and comes back on the screen and remains locked. ai thought of using the RSD lite to pop another ROOM but not get the USB I put on the computer it makes noise but nothing appears not recognize, really is dead. : (
Please I need help, what can I do?
I have deleted my contribution because it doesn't have to help you.
You must release the power button instantly before(!) RAZRi finishes vibration to get into fastboot mode! Have you tried that?
As shaftenberg wrote, you didn't properly enter to fastboot.
As long you see warning "Unlocked bootloader" as long your fastboot is oki, so Razr is not dead, only rom i messed up.
To properly enter fastboot at JB bootloader you should press power button and vol down, until green light will on, then you will feel vibration and light will switch off, at this time you must very fast relase only power button!!!!!!
Dont use Lucki_X linked method, cause in some cases it may damage your phone

[Q] I think I bricked my phone :( :( - PLEASE help!

Hi,
I tried the regular fastboot method to load CWM recovery.
Whenever it got to the point of loading the recovering, it would just say "flashing recovery on the device...".
Then, when restarting bootloader and clicking on "recovery", it would just shut down the phone.
I decided to experiment to try fix the issue, and I came across this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928551
I downloaded the ZIP file and I ran the root.bat
It flashed some boot images and now my phone wont start
It is stuck on the "warning bootloader unlocked screen" and will not go any further.
Please help . I'm so scared that I've bricked my phone. Is there ANYTHING I can do?
Thanks in advance for the help!
The methods u used can't brick your phone
Reboot in boot loader by pressing the power button and volume - button at the same time. Just at the moment the phone shuts-down/reboot release the power button. It will boot in boot loader. After this flash cwm or twrp again and with the volume down button go to recovery. Select recovery with the volume up key and u are done. Cwm/twrp is flashed and will boot in the recovery.
In recovery I would install the ROM from Omar. It will restore your system and boot.IMG so it will work. Don't forget to wipe data.
If this doesn't work flash the home made fast boot files somewhere in the development section

Thanks - I tried that. I do let go of the buttons as soon as it starts to reboot itself, but it doesn't start the bootloader - it still just shows the screen "warning bootloader unlocked". I can not get back into the bootloader
Do u reset the phone with the 4 buttons and just when it resets does your phone reboots immediately?

If I hold all 4 buttons, the screen goes blank, and the green light stays on. My PC then finds hardware called "MEDFIELD" but wont find drivers for it.
Does this help at all?

The above applies when connected with usb.
If I press all 4 buttons without USB connected, it just reboots and gets stuck on the "unlocked bootloader" message again

You should let go only of power button and hold vol.down button (at least for me)
If your PC finds hardware - can you do fastboot devices to check whether it is actually recognized properly?
And last thing - which method you used to load recovery (and were you on ICS\JB)? You were rooted and used automated methods or you unlocked bootloader and wanted to root afterwards (manually through fastboot)?

You are a GENIUS!!! A LIFE SAVER!!! I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am. BOTH of your points fixed the phone.
I could never get into recovery becuase I was pressing the power button. I could never get into fastboot becuase I was holding both the power and volume down button.
So, for anyone using a RAZR I... please note the following SIMPLE things:
1) In the bootloader menu, the power button does NOT select the option. The VOL UP button selects the option
2) To boot into BOOTLOADER : Hold both power and vol down buttons until the phone restarts, and then RELEASE the power button, while still HOLDING the volume down button! It will then load the bootloader.
Again, THANKS so so much for reviving my phone for me. I was going crazy without a phone!

I was going through everything you've faced yesterday. So yeah, glad I was of help to someone else as well)
This has never happened to me before but don't stress one bit because nothing ever permanently bad comes from this. You can forget about it being destroyed. These aren't iPhones, haha. You can get it going again pretty easy I hear. Just don't stress because there is no point and you WILL get help. Just listen to what these experienced dudes are saying and you should be back on track. Good luck!

UPDATE: Nice! Glad to see you got the help you needed and everything's back on track!
Nice that it is solved. I gave u the solution on my first post, but nice that someone els did a better job in explaining it
There is almost no possibilities to brick your device if u only flash things like the boot, system, recovery or data partition. They can he solved very easy. If u flash the other partitions like the radio u can get a problem.

[Q] Dead phone - can't even get to boot menu!

Hi Guys
My phone appears to have died... I was trying to run a few things at the same time. Podcast addict, google maps with directions, gps... and suddenly everything started throwing up error messages and resetting themselves repeatedly!
Suddenly the screen went blank and the phone kept on vibrating!
I tried restarting the phone... it didn't get any further than the Red M (of death).... and it was still vibrating continuously!
I did a soft reset (i think that is what it is called... Power + Vol down) and that finally stopped the vibrating, but it still wouldn't get any further than the Red M...
And that is pretty much all that I get no matter what I try.
I've tried Power + Vol up + Vol down. It just cycles to the Red M, then does the little cricket noise then blank screen, then back to Red M....
I've tried Power + Vol Down + Camera... turns it off... but then if I turn it back on, or plug in a power cable then it goes back into the Red M cycle...
In short my phone is fooked!
Do any of you have any super secret button combos/hacks/magic that can bring my phone back from the dead?
Cheers.

Hold Power + Vol- permantly, when phone vibrates leave immediatly power and keep holding vol- until a menue appears. browse with vol- to recovery and select it with vol+
There you can make a factory reset (data-wipe)

mmcblk0 is the raw name of sd-card partition. In this case the internal I think (but not sure, try to boot your phone without external sd-card; if that fails too, it is caused by internal)
So I think the solution for the problem is to format the sd-card partition. But your recovery can't access it, that why you have to try it per fastboot/adb or with flashing homemade fastboot.

Your problem is pretty strange, but here you go:
First you need the correct firmware. Download it from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239706
Then you need drivers and the RDS lite software from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974568
There you find more information about the procedure.

Thanks. I'll try that when I get home. (Why do these things always happen while I'm on holidays?)
Seeing as how I'll be starting from scratch would it be possible for me to say install an alternative android version on there. One of the cyanogen mods for example? Would this require downloading a different firmware?

That's not good. I've already got this in mind before. Some part of your internal storage is heavily corrupted. It can't even flash the new partition table (gpt).
I can't say if it's a irreversibly brick, but I doesn't know a solution atm..

I bricked my phone awhile ago trying to use RSDLite (which was a huge mistake), more than few times and that post saved me days of frustration.
Pretty much:
1. Unrar
2 . Install Drivers
3. Turn phone off (if able to)
4. Connect to pc
5. Hold the Camera button and power on until the green light comes on, it'll stay on longer than normal if you have a custom recovery installed.
6. Run the Unbrick.bat
You can try reading up on this, but I can tell you from first hand experience since I was not even able to access the custom recovery (save me an error, that this saved my phone from being nothing than a paperweight.
Bricked and then stuck on red M boot cycle.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for all your help guys... I gave in in the end. The phone is still on warrenty so I'm sending it back to Tesco. Hopefully they will send me a new one!
That is going to take about 2 weeks to get though... so in the meantime I think I'm going to get myself a Nexus 5! :victory:

The green led and black screen indicates that you are in medfield flash mode (when using camera button to start). If after the windows sound u have something with 'medfield *' under device manager the drivers work.
And if then the unbrick.bat don't work u need to do it manually or there is another problem.
If u don't have the device in device manager, u will need to install the drivers correctly.

Hello friend,
So, i do this, and he arrived at some numbers, that i showed in the picture. But, like you sad, without sucess
I never heard, that fastboot mode was broken but it takes some timing to get into it.
When the unlocked warning appears hold all buttons pressed, when the phone turns off leave the vol+ button alone and hold vol- and power pressed. At the moment the phone vibrates, leave power button alone and only hold vol- pressed. The unlocked warning will appear again but don't stop pressing vol- cause fastboot will appear after a few seconds. Than you can leave vol- alone
That's my way to get into fastboot after having a bootloop
As we can't remove battery Motorola did something like pushing power button for long time will hard restart.
As most of phones have different method of entering to fastboot. My old xperia neo need pushing on start several times vol down for example.
On our beloved XT890 in any time, even on power on phone just pushed power and vol down and wait, phone will hard restart then you will see green led, when the light turn off as fast you can release only power button, still keep finger on vol down. After you see fastboot you can release it.

Great you did it I forgot to mention about correct installed drivers
Jonto, original recovery is useless. So don't enter it.
When you are in fastboot just connect phone to pc install correct drivers and use rsd-lite.
Or if you have unlocked bootloader, install fastboot adb drivers and install twc recovery with fastboot command.

Fullbricked Mate S - No signs of life whatsoever

I have a Huawei Mate S CRR-L09 with the B145 Firmware installed on it. Yesterday I tried upgrading to the latest official Marshmallow version (B321). In order to do so I was told by a german Huwei blog to upgrade to B303 first. I could not complete the first update, since TWRP gave me an error that the zip could not be installed ("error executing updater binary in zip"). So I assumed, the "update.zip" did not go through.
Since I was at work and had no time I didn't proceed in trying. That was in the early afternoon.
FAST FORWARD
Later at night I went to bed, changed the alarm clock, pressed the "Power" button to turn off the display and put the smartphone aside. About 10-20 seconds later the display woke up and was fully white. The phone was unresponsive and the only thing I could do was to power it off by pressing and holding the "Power" button for about 10 seconds. Since then the Mate S is dead:
- Can not turn it on anymore
- No way to get into recovery or download mode
- No sign of life when connected to a Windows computer (USB 2.0) or power outlet (status LED won't turn on)
- adb on Windows won't recognize the device
The battery was not full when it got bricked, but it had at least enough power to last the whole night (maybe something like 30-70%, don't know anymore).
Do you think a USB Jig or Jtag would help? Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Also noteworthy is that I changed my SIM card the same day as well. It's from a new carrier so I got the new carrier settings installed via SMS.
before doing an update read carefully what you have to do before updating!
everywhere in the huawei section (from p6 to p8 and all the mate series) you can read that you can't make an official update with a custom recovery..
so..what you can try to do is to get into fastboot mode or recovery mode (second should bring you to twrp)..when you are there you might be able to restart your phone on fastbootmode which allows you to flash the stock recovery.img of the b145 (how to get stock img files is described in the thread named "huawei update extractor" - just search for it)..
sometimes it takes some time (more than 15seconds until the phone shows some reaction..just try it..
had a similar problem with my old p6..was frustrated..but after a calm down and some research i found on the p6-section some workaround..
good luck

Oops, alright. Well, I don't think my failed try in updating was the origin of the brick, do you? The whole install progress did not went through.

How am I supposed to get into fastboot or recovery? Pressing (and holding) the required buttons (Vol Up + Power) don't do anything.
you tried to install stock firmware through a custom recovery, and that "softbricked" your phone..
press the buttons longer..if there is jo reaction, well, than you should ask for a service

I'm not too sure about that, since I went on using the phone in everday life without any problems. Just at the end of the day my phone gave up, so to speak.
Well, I could keep on rambling about the "coulds" and "woulds"... Anyways, pressing those buttons even longer didn't do anything.
then contact a support/dealer for repair..
this may cause costs..
sry for that..

Thanks for the help anyways. I was hoping someone has had similar experiences and suggests a foolproof method like using a JTAG or whatnot.
maybe you´re lucky and still have an update.app file in your dload folder. Try pressing vol+, vol- and power all together. then when the huawei logo apperas, release the power button but keep holding the vol+ and vol-. after a while the EMUI Update prozess will start. this could solve your problem.
2 years after, I do the same!
my crr-ul20 is dead by wrong firmware; no sign of life and ther is no solution on the forum.
