You will need to flash stock recovery, and in some cases relock the phone. Then jump through loops to get there. Near the end of that thread at the moment, I was attempting to do the same thing. There is a post by mike here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823 which has some very good directions as well.

Now On My rooted/unlocked S-ON HTC ONE (M7_U & HTC__J15) whenever i try to access stock recovery "recovery 2.24.401.8.img" , I get Red Exclamation Mark with errors

mount SDCARD failed 2 times
mount SDCARD failed 3 times
mount SDCARD failed 4 times
mount SDCARD failed 5 times
can not mount SD card. (No such file or directory)

My question: is that normal or not? if not, can it be fixed & how? Also Whenever i pick apply from phone storage or sdcard the phone reboots.

yes with the sdcard mount errors I mentioned when you press volume up + power button. Is that normal? Can you try it on your device if you have stock recovery?!
I got the exact error as zorbakun. After downloading the stock OTA update on the phone. Upon installing it the phone went into bootloop.
Contacted HTC Support and after telling this SD mounting error they told me I have to call in to support to trouble shoot.
I have not done it yet though havent had a chance yet.

The problem I have now is that my phone was on 3 network so I unlocked boot, changed CID to HTC__001 then flashed RUU (Also reverted back to locked device).
Last night during my tired period I thought I would flash one from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
this caused the problem.
Now I have tried unlocking the bootloader again but everytime I get to the submit token page, It says I need to log in (I was already logged in)
I registered again but still have the same problem even if I leave the page open?

Don`t know much about the token, i unlocked with revone myself. Send a message to htcdev and see if they can help you with this issue. BTW did you relock the bootloader yourself and if so why?

If the issues you listed in the first post are true, then you are toast.
However, I hope you were exaggerating only.
So, you need to either use a RUU or ADB Push/Sideload.
You said you installed ARHD 52, but now you have no OS.. That doesn't add up.
Can you still ADB PUSH?

you tried to back to stock/latest ROM, your CID HTC__001 and MID PN0710000
i think you need to install World Wide English 4.19.401.9 ROM if you really need to back to stock, give it try, then search for OTA updates (Sittings>About>software update) to get 4.19.401.11 latest
be sure your bootloader is LOCKED or RE-LOCKED
this is my suggest , or you can wait for developers

Why are you trying to install a Brightstar rom and RUU,
You have the international M7_ul
You can use 3.62.401.1 guru reset rom from here
http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/
Or you can install a custom rom such as ARHD
Make sure you have TWRP 2.6.3.3 or better installed
You cannot install a RUU that is not meant for your phone with S-On. It has to be same version or higher.

you can just copy it from your pc when you boot your device or boot into fastboot and use adb
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2013/12/how-to-copy-rom-zip.html
Following the instructions I have managed to get the ARHD rom installed and running. Would it be simple to revert back to a stock rom or is that going to cause more problems.
Cheers

It's fairly simple but more people get into trouble trying to return to stock than trying to root their phones.
Follow this guide precisely in the correct order.

After I unlocked and rooted my HTC one m7 I missed some of system apps and now I can't install ota update , I tried to install stock recovery but still failed..!
Yeah, once you root, no more stock OTAs. So, start researching custom Roms. You'll always be way ahead of stock OTAs anyway.

Rooting didn't stop my OTA. I was rooted before the OTA and remained rooted once applied.

never post imei and serialno from a fastboot getvar all and btwm you already have posted a getvar at post #4
do the ota update, when in recovery, vol+ and power to see what file cause the update to fail. look at the post I linked above.
when you have determined which file is missing or have unexpected content, you can push the correct one to your phone and try the ota again.

what to do if after vol+ & power button, then I choose "install from phone memory", the phone keeps giving me "invalid operation" messages and won't get to the file directory. I'm on S-on, unrooted, stock recovery, stock ROM, hboot 1.55. I tried to install OTA updates from htc1guru, from 3.63.707.4 to 4.20.707.7
Thanks

you can't install ota update manually (from stock recovery) with s-on. Initiate the installation from the OS, settings ---> about --> software updates

That guru reset file wont work for you as you are s-on and have HBOOT 1.57, it will appear to work but then with updates it will start to bootloop.

You are not supposed to use that reset ROM when your hboot is 1.57.0000
Do you have a TWRP installed ?
Is the bootloader unlocked ?
If yes for both question then I'll provide you a link to 5.12.707.104 backup. With this backup and the stock recovery for 5.12.707.104, you can do OTA to 5.12.707.105
Or you can try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/stock-rom-reset-t2802061
