A small htc one question - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I decided to get the one but I have a small question is it a good multitasker as I had the one x and it is bad at multitasking another thing is how much free ram is available [a screenshot while on task manager after clearing the ram would be awesome]
thanks in advance

The One X was "bad" at multitasking cos of HTC's tweaks to how multitasking on Android works. I don't think the One actually comes with a built in task manager. I don't have my phone with me right now so I can't check yet As far as free RAM goes, you'll have tonnes more than the S4, and the One is super smooth no matter what you do. Have a game running in the background? Everything else is still smooth as butter with it running in the background.

There is an android native way you can see going to Settings => About Phone => Battery => Battery Use

Isnt exact enough

It seems quite enough for me as it appears to show one to one power comsumption.
But you could do a search over the market and might find as well.

Is there a way to get the stock battery stats like you would get in vanilla Android 2.2 (or greater), rather than the simplified info that Sense gives you?

About multitasking, task manager and task killers

I just came across this article and I thought people here need to know about it
http://www.extremetech.com/computing/112013-how-multitasking-works-on-android-and-ios/2
Links directly to the android multitasking bit, it has been said many times that task killer apps are no good, I haven't used them since I read they were bad
But remember, the v6 supercharger is not s task killer, it is just changing the values at which android automatically kills background apps, its the best form of customisable ram management imo
Feel free to post your opinion here about it especially if you disagree or think its wrong

I agree, v6 is fantastic

[APP] Epic Citadel {Amazing Graphics on our little phone :)}

So this app has been around on iOS for three years now, but has only today arrived on Android.
130mb download can be quite a hassle but I think it is worth it. To clarify: this is a game, (well sort of?) in which you can explore a town/castle with the surroundings. It has no real gameplay or missions or anything, but it's nice to know what amazing graphics our little beast is capable of
Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epicgames.EpicCitadel
Graphics are really amazing, screens taken from my phone attached
Oh yeah, before I forget, you can also use the app to benchmark
wow nice pics. do you use the jellybean drivers that have just resurfaced in this section ?
If not perhaps you could try them as see if theres a difference.
I do use the drivers and have as habit when they were posted , i just have all this sort of stuff backed up on my pc so just pull it when I need it.( I still have a Nameless v5.05 backed up with the original OC's In case the new offical rom ended up not as good as the old rom nameless was based off .:good:
Jb drivers indeed, they are pretty awesome

Jellybean drivers don't add more fps instead it lowers it by .4 or .3 in some gpu benchmark app making it slower than the original htc ics egl drivers.
screen looks bettter tho

Task killers are unecessary imo, it actually drains more battery if you constantly kill apps in the background because the app justs starts back if it is set to run in the background
also android automatically kills apps when there is not enough ram to run specific apps

[Q]

I am looking for a ram cleaner widget equals or similar to the one that comes with LG Optimus G.
Any recommendations?
You don't need one.

Correct, Android does not need a RAM cleaning program. I did not know that LG included one. Shame on them. "Cleaning" your RAM will only result in greater battery use, and decreased performance.
Thanks for advising, but i am still looking for one.
