I need help for my Incredible S.I used my phone for 2years.The problem is when I power on the phone it doesnt boot up to android,it just go to recovery.Have already tried bootloader factory reset and reboot but it still boot up to recovery. The phone is complete stock, never unlock, never s-off and havent done anything to mess the system except OTA update to ICS.
It also got problem with the usb connection,it charge fine, but when I connect it to my pc it pop-out 'usb device not recognized',so i cant do anything through adb&fastboot . .
I try to flash latest stock RUU from the htcdev.com from SD card but when I press volume+ to update,it shows '1.bootloader -fail-pu,partition update fail.update fail' and the right side progress bar didnt move an inch . .
On the recovery it shows:

Install HTC sync and than try flashing ruu
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda app-developers app
Not working, htc sync doesnt detect my device and I lost my count on how much I reinstalled it.
Also already tried connecting my phone to another pc,still doesnt work, the device manager detect the device as 'unknown device' and cant get any driver to work with it . .

first of all why are you using the GPe rom.. its not meant for your phone. sprint is CDMA..
2nd did you use a zip to install or an RUU
3rd can you get into recovery or atleast Fastboot. if you can then your phone is fine.
side loaded Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip
was able to get in and turn on usb debuging
have achieved S-OFF
trying to side load the same ROM hoping it takes right with S-OFF this time

can I flash Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Deodexed.zip ?
is it valid ROM for my phone ?
as of right now i have not been able to get any rom to flash
it looks like right now the problem is getting a rom that wont reboot every 3 or 4 min.
i also aper to have no network signal.
solved
in order to fix this issue i flashed
Sprint_HTC_One_1.31.651.2_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed "this was to be side loaded" and
firmware-s-off-1.31.651.2 "bootloader does have to be locked this is repeated over and over on every page you look for RUU zips"
this solved both the reboot and network issues.
tools used
TWRP
Hasoon2000's AIO toolkit
go ahead and use this as an example of what not to do i'm not ashamed.
also i have unlocked the bootloader again and all is well ill update you in a couple of days to let you know it stuck.
update
Since my last post I have had no further issues. I hope nobody needs the info in this thread but if you do I hope it is useful
So I did a system update for my phone on Friday and when it went to restart after the update it was stuck on the 'htc quietly brilliant'.
I don't how to get it booted successfully and have tried the recovery options in the menu except for the one that resets everything, just in case I am able to not lose much. I have read a lot about this and tried connecting by usb but it doesnt show up on my computer.
Is there any way to get the phone to boot?
In the recovery menu it says:
'failed to open loopdevice (No such file or directory)'
it says that 6 times then says
failed to mount /sdcard (No such or directory)
--i am trying this without my sd card inserted...
Anyways if any one can help let me know! Thanks

Wow @nkk71 what do you make of this hboot ??
Windows 8.1 is going to be a problem .. do you have another PC you can work with ? If not you going to need a Ubuntu Live CD / USB to boot from and use fastboot commands.
I recommend ubuntu-13.10-desktop-i386.iso
Here >> http://www.ubuntu.com/start-download?distro=desktop&bits=32&release=latest
and there's a Guide here >> http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
GOLFU is a HTC Desire C.. wrong forum.

I also need help with this. I have a backup on HTC sync and in TWRP, but CWM wont open it for some reason. I went from stock rom to CM11. I lost all my contacts because I backed up with twrp, but I had to flash CWM for CM11 to work (twrp touch screen wasnt working) I'm still on 4.4.2. Didnt think of backing up in CWM cause I thought I could re-flash twrp after I used CWM.
Hey there!
So I'm trying to get a HTC One M7 fixed here, and I have a problem. I was updating to Lollipop (stayed on KitKat for a while) then it froze then it rebooted. It had the new logo in the start screen, but it wouldn't boot to the OS at all. I've tried resetting via recovery, doesn't work. Resetting cache doesn't work. ADB + Fastboot with drivers doesn't work. I've tried so many things, like using a toolkit, using ADB + fastboot, going in bootloader and trying adb, nothing works. I'm stuck here. It's a M7 T-Mo variant. I haven't rooted it and it's on stock recovery and the bootloader information is:

I've tried everything. Please help? I have a new phone already, but I want this to get working so I can at least sell it for some money
i would suggest unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery, like twrp. Then you can restore from a stock backup file (im sure people here have them).
If that doesnt work... well...
Like I said, my PC doesn't recognize my one m7. Even other PCS don't... So I can't unlock the bootloader
go to htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
Look carefully at instructions, download file at bottom, run file, follow wizard instructions, should return device to stock.
Will delete data.
I know you said PC doesnt recognize it, but the RUU app should recognise your phone even if the PC doesnt. And if it doesnt, boot into fastboot and try
Hope this helped

I guess that you can use flash memory as OTG in TWRP,copy rom file on flash memory and connect to OTG cable then use that on TWRP mode and flash your rom!!!!
