Hello everyone!
You maybe know that HTC One Google Edition has been announced for the 26th of June this year
So cool
But what is different between the Sense 5?
I share with you lot of videos and I think this one could be amazing!
+
There is a Vanilla unofficial currently, you have to wait the official to get the perfect Google Edition that's why I used a CM
Enjoy!
Don't forget, thanks is so grateful!
Any questions?

Hello to everyone you know if HTC roadmap has a new version of ROM for the Touch HD. I have installed the latest available, but I saw that for the new PDA HTC has released new features. You believe that will be available in a new official ROM? Thanks Tony
No new features! There will only be some bug fixes and even this is not certain!

Apple is the only company which provides new features to you devices after they sold there devices. No other vendor provide even a bug fixed release correctly. It's not hardware that making apple win the market it's there Operating System, Regular Bug Fix Release, Regular new Features release, Standard way of using devices (iTunes), Standard way of hacking apple devices (Jailbreak).
By seeing HTC Touch HD most of them thought this phone has high specs than iphone and high price than iphone so it surely be more advance device than iphone. But those who brought iphone are happly enjoying new games every day new application every hour and those who brought Touch HD (even after 1 year) still trying to make this device better with new application ones in a month or two and new games ones in 6 months or more.

What are you taking victoradjei. HTC might release 2 or 4 more devices with same specs as HTC Touch HD with new manila and make money. Why it will care about a device which is already sold?
it's pretty obvious...if HTC were to release new updates / features for Touch HD you would see them by now...I was disappointed by the lack of updates by HTC for a high-end device, honestly i was expecting more from HTC and if isn't for the wonderful support / ROM / apps from XDA, i wouldnt have chosen HD over iphone...
Query answered, thread closed.
I don't want this to turn into another.....why don't HTC allow free updates/upgrades etc like Apple??
Now that Google has announced they will be selling a GSM Samsung S4 through the android market starting in June, what are your thoughts on which to get?
I purchased my HTC T-Mobile version last week. Took a while to adjust to Sense, and actually have 'desensed' it a bit by using Nova Launcher instead. It's a pretty phone, but I do miss some of the stock Android features of my GNex. Actually, it may be that since the GNex has had quite a bit of development, there are some nice tricks I can use with it that haven't been developed for the HTC One yet (i.e. PGM swipe to wake).

someone said it one of the threads(not sure which one) that he knows someone at htc and the will be releasing a pure aosp rom for the htc one like samsung is doing
Sadly, its not true based on this source
Update: Jeff Gordon of HTC just sent us the following message, “HTC is not currently planning a ‘Nexus Edition’ of the HTC One.”
http://androidandme.com/2013/05/news/htc-employee-teases-stock-android-htc-one/
I was really hoping that HTC would partner with Google so we could get pure android with actually time updates and this is the thread, page 60 that has the topic ".CyanogenMod Night lies"

companys always deny rumors in public statements until they are ready to release. not saying that i believe the guy and his source at htc but i definitely dont believe public statements release by a company rep
Ever since the order page came up a few days ago for the HTC One Google Edition, I've been lurking the threads, watching the videos and reading the reviews.
The general consensus I'm getting is that the Google Edition will not push out updates immediately like the Nexus devices.
Now I'm in somewhat of a dilemma because I'm not sure if I should keep my order with Google Play or to cancel and order an HTC One Developer's Edition.
The GE Edition is $640+ after taxes and free shipping on GP.
The Dev Edition is $654 after shipping, with no taxes.
As we all know the GE Edition is 32GB and the Dev Edition is 64GB.
So with all that said, is the decision as easy as saying that the Dev Edition is 14 bucks more and has twice the space? I have no issues with custom roms but honestly I value stability over anything and despite some shortcomings that some people may find in the pure stock version, I actually don't mind it. When I had my N4 I was happy with stock and using custom loaders to change the look and feel.
Now the topic of the GE version rom being available for the other phones has come up a lot in the last few days and many people are speculating that it will be very easy to do so forth.
Sorry if I'm sounding like a newb here, but is there any benefits right now to getting the GE over the DE edition? What would be the overall best choice for me as someone who doesn't mind stock android? Is there anyone out there who would choose the GE instead of the DE version and if so why?
Thanks for all the help guys!
Get a dev edition because you can run a GE Rom on it and the 64 GB storage.
BTW where did you get those prices. It should be like double that price lol.

HAHA Fixed!! Thanks for catching that! Iono why my brain was thinking 6 but typed 3.. ugh lol
I don't know how the Google edition works with the ability to flash a sense Rom but I like the option to choose personally, and I know with the dev edition you can flash stock android. If I was you I'd go with the dev edition. If you want some fancy special edition just for bragging rights, then get that but if you want functionality and the option to pick what you like get the dev.

I too have considered this upgrade from my Nexus 4. But if I remember correctly the IR port does not work in the Google Play version, and is working fine in the dev version.
where is the dev version available?
People. The hardware on the Dev and GPe phones are the exact same. Just the ROM, bootloader and recoveries are different. We already have the GPe bootloader and recovery, and I think we even have GPe based ROMs. Eventually, you will be able to fully convert the DEV, INTL, ATT and TMO Ones to GPe and vice versa. Get the Dev edition.
I've been reading alot about the Google Editions lately and where there updates come from, on this page it says that the updates are provided by Google:
http://blog.htc.com/2013/05/htc-one-google-nexus-experience/
But apparently the kernels are provided by HTC, what do you guys think and how long do you reckon HTC will take to come out with the updates if they do come from them due to there past history?

in retrospect, Google updates for Google Edition phones at provide by Google. But google is not responsible for distribution, HTC is.
HTC deal with the ROM as well as the GE HTC One uses an HTC kernel, not a Nexus kernel, so until the kernel is ready the ROM won't be released. We'll soon find out as there is a Google Announcement on the 24th so depending on how long after that it comes out will show how quickly HTC are making the kernel
Considering there's already been 4.3 leaks for the S4 GE, and 4.3 Spotted on the One GE - seems like the next update won't be a problem when it comes.

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about picking up an original HTC One (M7). I'm not too interested in Sense, so I'm wondering how good/buggy/reliable the Google Play Edition (GPE) software is. Would it compare to a Nexus 5? Is the Sense software actually better?
Thanks!

You'll probably not have much comparison between the HTC One GPE and the Nexus 5 here because comparison thread are not allowed. Personally, I prefer Sense over GPE. Maybe you could go in store and try both to get an idea? And there always the possibility to convert your phone to GPE if you don't like sense (require to S-OFF 1st). The only thing I can say is we see many people here converting their phone to GPE and then they want to switch back to Sense again....
