Hi guy. Heres the problem. I had the phone charging (all night). I disconnected. I wake up, answer a couple of messages and automatically shut down. I press the power button and does not start. I remove the battery and put it back. I plug the charger and shows no battery!
I'm using the German rom - Cocore 6.2 - rooted.
It has been possible bricked?

Phone is bricked if you flash something wrong. Like flashing non P vesion of firmware on P version of phone. You expirienced shut down with no reason, maybe some hardware issue... If you have warranty go to service centre. And you can't go to download mode? Power+home+volume down buttons.

Maybe a Battery problem? If you are still in Warranty take it to Service....
Lol the phone couldn't handle the stress and committed suicide
Whatever it is, I'm not leaving a good friend without any valid reason.
Well, it seems that the problem was some error with the battery indicator. So far not returned to happen. We'll see over time if it happens again. Thanx to all
i think that would just be battery problem

Hello.
I'll get straight to the facts.
I had my phone rooted with Odinv3 using "busybox" (is all i can see on my downloads).
I then went to update to Gingerbread today, but didn't realise I had to un-root the phone!
So this made the phone keep refreshing the samsung galaxy S screen.
I then went to reboot to stock using this thread. Said it passed etc.
Now my phone is completely dead. It won't turn on. Nothing at all when i get it into download mode. No lights turn on. Odin *does* recognise it when I plug it in, the yellow box lights up.
The computer makes a noise to recognise that somethings been plugged in.
But alas nothing on the phone. I've left the battery out and tried it in but nothing.
What can I do please?! I am stuck here. And fear i just have wasted a great sum of money...
Will I be able to take it back on warranty? I haven't had it long, 3 months or so. Would they recognise it has been rooted despite it being put back to stock software.
Thanks. Daniel
You are a bit unclear, can you get download mode with 3 button combo?
Sent from my GT-I9000
tried many times to remove and replace the battery worked for me
sorry for the google translation
I managed to get into download mode by doing a 3 button combo earlier, can't remember what it was but I had to hold three buttons *THEN* fit my battery. THen it went into download mode. I can't remember which combo it was though as i've tried loads before and they didn't work!
It won't do anything now though.
Could i have booted it with a wrong ROM and that's why it won't load?
How come Odin picks it up and it goes through that passing etc?
THis si so annoying.
Volume down/power/home hold til galaxy s logo then release a yellow logo should appear

Sorry for opening an old thread. But i have aproximately the same problem with one exception:
Odin won't regognize my phone.
I was just in the process of installing this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136449
It got to the first step: "DO NOT POWER OFF DEVICE!!".. and then nothing. Sat there for 15 minutes untill i unplugged it.
shut down the phone using the power button, but now.. its completely dead.
This was offcourse before I realized i had just tried to install a ROM for SGS.. not SGSII.
So.
Odin doesnt recognize the phone.
The phone won't turn on, no matter what I do.
Nothing happens when I try to charge the phone.
I've tried pulling the battery several times, but its just .. dead.
However, when I plug in the battery, the phone seems to get hot. Not very hot, but just slightly above 25 degrees (aprox).
I'm afraid i've f*cked up big time, and have to send it in for a repair..
Anyone have a tip of what I can do ?
(Yes, the battery is charged - not empty).
Have you tried going into download mode again? does the screen power up at all?
My advice is try to leave the battery out for 15-30 minutes, then try getting into Download mode again, with the USB cable already plugged in and ODIN running on your machine.
See if ODIN can detect it and work from there... May be better than nothing. Hope this helps.

Did you know how to flashing the rom (via CWM) ? You have to notice your battery percentage first.
What exactly were you flashing? CF-root? where did you get it from?
I had the battery out through the night and tried again this morning.. didnt work..
It SEEMS to be completely dead.. (with exception from that the cpu gets hot when battery is plugged in.. )
I tried flashing this:
http://www.multiupload.com/6QNW8P7DTY
I came as far as "Setting PIT file.." "DO NOT TURN OFF" in odin, and then everything stopped.
The battery was at 70% when i started the process.
The phone have only been on for about 20 minutes since.
Hey. I got problem with my Xperia X8. I cant turn it on. When I press power/lock button, red light turns on and off 3 times. I already changed motherboard for a new one but it didnt help. I think its battery problem but Im not sure. Also, when i connect it to PC, red light turns on every 3-4 second. I dont know what it means. Any solutions? Seus and SE PC Companion wont see my phone. Thanks.
i think its battery dead :/
You can try it to put into flash mode, connect to USB and press and hold back button until the green led turns on, if it can get into flash mode i think motherboard is not the problem, also try geting in a new battery. If neither od that works, than it's some hardware failure.
At least you can try that, I don't know.

Well, Getting into a flash mode dont work. Also I took battery from Xperia X10 mini pro and I tried to connect it. My phone vibrates after pressing power button. Nothing happens after this. Also I tried holding back button with this battery.
If ur battery is fully charged, and then also its not opening up..then it seem some problem is there with battery itself..

Hmm...I don't know, try with the X8 battery, if it doesn't work, then go to official service.
If you rooted your mobile phone then you're f***ed up, because your waranty will be void.
If you can not go to flash mode and get your phone back to original unrooted software, you will have to pay the service.

use seus selct phone dont plug the usb yet hold the back key hold still then plug the usb a green light should appear then seus will download your stock rom which is android 2.1 eclair.
Hey, Yesterday I managed to turn my phone into a Flash mode, so I installed 2.1 firmware with SE PC Companion, but still my phone wont turn on ;/
If you are 100% sure that you installed stock firmware from SEUS, than you have your waranty back ( if you have it still ) and go to your official service to repair your phone. Yet, if your waranty has expired than pay te service.
i had the same problem a week or two ago, i was tethering with barnacle, and suddenly my connection was lost (my phone was charging in my laptop)...
when i checked my xperia (i was downloading stuff so i was tethering for something like 4-5 hours) the device was very hot and with the same probles previouly described (blinking in red, not turning on, etc)....
i was very scared, waited for a while until the temperature was cooler and the i plugged to the wall for an hour or so... without an answer, suddenly the charge icon appeared (phone turned off)... and it got in perfect shape again...
the other day i was using barnacle again and i looked at the phone (charging with my laptop again) and i discovered that it was again draining even when charging so i decided to charge in the wall and it was ok...
Charging with a wall charger dont work. Tried many things. Now only changing battery can help me. If not, I will need to leave it in service so they could repair it...
Okay, so I made a small step. I managed to charge battery so now everytime I want to turn on battery, my phone vibrates and while its vibrating for half of second there is green light. After this nothing happens. I can change firmware without any difficulty, but its not helping. Tried with SEUS, SE PC Companion and Flashtool. What to do now?
Well,i think its the battery thats screwed up IMO .does the battery look a little bit fatter by any chance

Hello guys,
I received an OTA update this morning, about 8mb. After downloading and installing it, my phone doesn't boots anymore, even in recovery mode. When I press the power button, the opening screen (the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 thing) shows up, and the phone shuts down again in a few seconds, before any other thing happens. In recovery mode, the android with a loading bar shows up for a few seconds before everything goes dark again. When I plug the charger, the battery icon shows around 70% battery. Anyone has an idea of what's going on?
Are you able to enter download mode?
No, I can't. I think it's a battery problem, it discharged completely in a few hours even with the phone off. Already ordered a new one, I'm really hope it solves the problem.

Dont you have warranty?
Hello, i have one question
Now I came from my job and I use my phone about few minutes and then the phone turns off. Can someone tell me what can be problem?
Cant go in recovery or download mode?
Are you rooted? If yes, which root method did you use? Custom ROM installed? Any apps installed that are not from Google play? Are you sure the battery is good? Do you see/hear anything when trying to power on? Any and all details would help.

This sounds rather stupid, but some users have reported that turning off the feature "Allow apps to scan WiFi in background" solves the problem. I honestly have no idea what that has to do with it but give that a try. If not you can just do a factory reset from the menu.
@edessa : no, i am not rooted. all is official. All apps are from Google Play and I use the same like on my previous phone (Galaxy S2). About battery - today I go in shop and I will try to see if is problem in battery. Strongly hope that the problem is in the battery.
I dont see or hear anything when I try to power on. There is only black screen, without samsung logo or vibration on power on.
I would get a new battery. Sounds like your battery is dead. In some Android devices, not sure about the N3 if you let the battery completely die then even if you connect it to a charger it will not power up. If it cannot power up then it cannot charge either. The phone has to actually start in order to charge the battery as the charger is a smart charger.
I tried with new batteries and phone still not turn on. And now I send it to repair

You phone can run without a battery just using the USB cord. Sending it in for repair is probably the best option at this point

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem after the latest 4.3 update. My phone battery went to 7% and then suddenly to 0%, upon which it turned off. Now whenever I try to turn it on the red light flashes and whenever I try to turn it on whilst charging (because I don't think it charges if I just leave it plugged in), it just enters a reboot cycle, whereby it goes to the lock screen, shows the "Shutting Down" window and reboots. I have no clue how to fix this.
I don't really care about the phone at this point, but I do have some photos I want to keep from there...
Any ideas? The software hasn't been pampered with.
same here
hey, feeling with you.
I recently updated my Xperia T to 4.3.
While in 4.1.2 the "low battery" behavior was quite weird, as my T did not charge (no red LED), I was able to get it back to life by pressing and holding the power button for quite some time, lets say 5 min. or so, as it was loading then. This was independent from whether it was exhausted (blinking red LED) or "simply of"(not blinking but not charging anyways).
Through this whole power pressing procedure (I just wrapped the cord around the phone several times) the LED was red and the phone was charging, but it did not turn on. After the 5 min. I freed the T an hit the power button again. Now it was booting as expected and did not immediately go off again.
On 4.3 unfortunately this does not work anymore . The phone just tries to boot and enters the reboot cycle as you described (with the difference that it does shut down instead of reboot).
Now first I would like to know, if your T behaved like mine under 4.1.2 (guessing that was your last Version too). From what I've read I assume that wasn't really normal behavior. I think there must be something wrong with the hw, as my 4.1.2 was neither unlocked nor modified in any other way.
Second I would advise you boot into recovery and select boot into bootloader* (if you have installed one) or connect your T to your PC and boot into flashmode (power+vol.down I guess) as it might charges in there. The recovery worked for me, flashmode should work, but I never tried.
Finally I guess chances are good, that your device works totally normal if it gets charged again (just don't let it run out of energy again )
btw. does the Xperia T normally charge while it's powered off? Anyone has send his phone back on warranty because of charging problems?
good luck to you,
wk
*I am using this 4.3 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647459) atm, as I have root there. But the recovery is really buggy right now so it just restarts all the time. I'm not quite sure where the "boot into bootloader" option gets you ( never heard, that you could boot into bootloader on an xperia device) but the LED shines blue and the T charges and that's important right?
Yeah, my T would sometimes do that when the battery completely drained. I'd have to hold the button for a few minutes while the red light was on until it booted and started charging autonomously.
Now that doesn't work. It doesn't charge when it's off and when I connect it to the charger and turn it on, it restarts. Eventually though the battery drains completely and the old trick works again, but even when it manages to boot to the lock screen, it shows 0% battery again and restarts.
I've tried turning it on while holding the power+down button and charging. The green light came on and disappeared but it started rebooting again. Same with connecting it to my PC.
Can you remove the battery?
Same thing happens to mine, and i just remove battery, plug it without battery,it starts, then put the battery back on.
And it charges fine.

So I think you are facing the same issue as mine... the phone has no time to charge. So what I did was flash an OmniRom with only the SystemUI apk and launcher apk. The intention was to make the boot time shorter so that the battery will not go down by the time it boots. But it ended up causing a bootloop: it was constantly stuck in the bootanimation. And it does charge during the bootanimation. So I let it be like that for about 30 minutes, rebooted to recovery and flashed the stock rom. And all my data was safe. This is more like a fluke so try it and maybe it would work.
If you can disassemble it, then yes, you can do the battery thing. There is just one screw under the SIM flap. I didn't do it because my screw driver kit was borrowed.
The battery trick worked! Now it discharges really fast though.
5% in less than 5 minutes...
