[Q] CheckRom V6 & What kernel?

Guys what it the best kernel for checkrom V6?
I mean.. i want advices BUT why did you made such a choice?

For me it is Franco hands down. Tested v2, v6 and the latest 'test' one (this will become v10 tomorrow or the day after, judging by the users' comments), and all proved to be smooth, fast, stable and easy on the battery on my Note.

I would second Franco kernel also. Been using it since v6 had no problems with lag at all. Battery life with this combination seems good as well.

Now this is a good start
I have been in CF ROOT for XXLC1 but i dunno why i feel the stock kernel is a little bit lagged in menus!

Franco 9.....pure awesomeness !! Best battery backup m getting by using it. Earlier tried Abyss 4.2 but got a high battery drain !
Go for Franco !!!

but doesn't changing the kernel change some supported features in the rom ? like ntfs support for instance ?

Check the changelogs of the kernel you are about to use it will give you all the salient features and changes that it has and can happen!

Yeah of course! I have it installed on my phone. just go to the inbuilt kitchen (update it to the latest version from google play store) and download the file given there under the themes section. Its version1.1 as of now. And install it in recovery !!

I was using stock CF-Root and it was fine, but the battery drain was a bit higher vs V5 CheckROM. Installed Franco and its running great, 1.5% Per Hour idle.

was using checkrom v6 with Franco's test kernel. Seems like its draining battery more than stock. Gonna verify it over the nxt few days by using stock

Also on Franco test kernel.

Also on franco kernel v9, works like a charm. Good battery life but no as good as CheckROM v5 & franco v6

For me Franco kernel cause constant sods.
I keep trying a newer versions and still same issue. This problem doesn't occur for me on other kernels

Yeah for some of the users Franco gives sods or screen salad issue - pixelated screen while other kernels work fine for them! Thankfully works fine for me

Well Franco works like a charm so far.. have been testing it for over 2 weeks and works very nicely ^^
Can't barely wait for V7.. Gotta wait for jkay's magic

can someone please post links to francos kernels especially v 9 and other GB kernels,
is abyss 4.2 kernel GB kernel ?
theres something wrong with the way im searching....im going round and round

Abyss 4.2 is a gb kernel. Don flash it in a ICS

why i have lag in games ???

hi guys ...
my phons have laaaaaags in new HD games why ??
(nova3-mc3-six guns ...)
i9000 - GamezROM v9 ( i cant update it to v11 because i need RTL fix )
what should i do ??

The newer games are gonna need better specs on the phone or your gonna get lag.

TRY THAT ROM [NIGHTLY][ROM][4.0.4][IMM76I] CyanogenMod 9 for Samsung Galaxy S
AND THEN INSTALL THAT KERNEL
[KERNEL] Semaphore ICS 1.2.2
AFTER THAT YOU CAN PLAY ALL NEW HD GAMES
TRY IT

Try clearing ram before opening the game.

problem in GTA VC ..

i have problem in GTA VC on my sgs:crying:
when i run the GTA VC ... after the video provided
the screen 'tap to continue' blinking with screen *Copyright and rockstar info ... *
then my phone freezing and reboot Automatically:crying:
whats the problem ??
i try 1.0.0 and 1.0.1

Pirates do everything

It means did you overclock/undervolt (changing CPU speed/voltage). Maybe your problem is with dalvik flags. I've heard that NFS:Most Wanted crashes on Gingerbread without tweaks.

i dont change CPU speed ..
NFS freeze in loading screen with me :silly:

I gave this a try on my i9000, which is running ICS_4.0.3_MR1-RC4.2 and Semaphore 1.3.0, It works and is playable but it has problems with graphics overlays and disappearing textures i tried devil kernel - same problem,
So i tested it on a few jelly bean roms on a another spare i9000, with semaphore 2.5.0, and it worked without any problems.with the same kind performance levels as gta3
so to sum up working but with graphics problems in ICS and working fine on JB,

Just tested on GB 2.3.6 stock rom and stock kernel, and it ran (and appeared to have no gfx problems in game) but was unplayable due to a problem with the menu screen flickering on/off the whole time
also heres a few screens of the graphics issues im getting in ICS, notice the see through buildings and problems when standing next to cars

not work in GB 2.3.6 stock rom and stock kernel :crying:

ics & jb games problem!!???

when i flash my phone to ics & jb rom from gb, and i try to play some games like asphalt6, fast5, dungeon3!!! force close in the middle of playing?,, but on gb rom is working!! what should i do!!?? thanks guys

Just check the kernels out yourself and see what suits you.

I got lag with TZ, so there is no correct answer.
It depends what services are running, what bloatware is running, which governor and IO scheduler etc.

tried all karnel but Dark knight and the amazing spiderman still lagging
i use Ondemand/interactive governer and Sio i/o

Try to use PegasusQ, Nightmare, HotPlug governors.

CoCore E is the best kernel for both Gaming and Battery life.. according to me...
As you can see @ my signature, I'm still using CoCore E 3.9 instead of the latest one 4.2.. its because this is by far the best kernel I have ever used on my phone!.. I still haven't tried 4.2 yet only because of this
I have played most of the games you listed above without any lags whereas my friend gets random lags on his S Advance still running Gingerbread...

Try CoCore-E 4.2, is better than 3.9

try Thunderzap
try ThunderZap Kernel 4.1,,its much better than CoCore.

YEAH COCORE-E IS BETTER THAN THUNDERZAP 4.1 YOU CAN TWEAK IT FOR TOUCH RESPOND (GOOD FOR GAMING) AND CHARGING LEVELS NOT LIKE THUNDERZAP!:angel::angel::angel::angel::angel:

+1 NFS i have completed the Whole Game 40% Screen Brightness on Pure Vanilla Rom No Lags on CoCore-E Just Great.. now i use cocore 5.1 nightly with 4cyl turbo still now lags and much smoother

Use CoCore E-5.0 along with JellyMOD ROM , CrossBreeder and 4cylturbo. You will see significant results. And correction its Kernel* not Karnel
But if you really want more than my suggestion , try every ROM and Kernel with every MODs and see what suits you best.
