One of the easiest tools is the ALL IN ONE TOOL KIT....link in my signature...try out my friend

My friend,
if you have already the stock ICS ROM and you need to just to root....connect to the PC/Laptop described in the AIOT OP...thats enough (option 3)
if you have not installed the px drivers, you need to do that
LG Drivers are also required to be installed.
I would suggest that you read it before doing....only the AIOT is required if you are already on stock ICS

I thought u get an v28g baseband when u update to ICS via lg updater tool.
How u get an v30a BBC without having root already?
28g was a leaked update...you only get the v30 versions when updating thorough the lg update tool

Ofcourse you are right . Stupid of me, you dont need root too smartflash a baseband.

Hi,
I'm on stock 30A, and running win7 x86. My problem is that AIO Toolkit will not open. It briefly flashes a command window...Then nothing.
Any hints on how to get this AIO Toolkit to run?

Go to the All In One Tool Kit thread and follow the instructions on the OP.
I am sure you will find the answers.
Mostly, it is related to the disable driver signature ....for win 7/8 OS or
you probably do not have admin rights...move it to the c drive and grant the admin rights...should work

Start aio toolkit from a cmd windows to see what is the problem.
But the esiest way is to flash a custom recovery through nvflash then flash the root zip

Does someone have a link to an ROM for NVFlash where the baseband is included, cause I have some problems with the baseband, and flashing the baseband through Smartflash doesn't solve them, so I just wanted to flash it through NVFlash, but the baseband wasn't included and so my problems were still there...

You can't flash baseband with nvflash. You need smartflash.

i have spent 10 days to do it with smartflash and tried so many computers and laptops but no luck, thats why i am asking for nvflash and there is one available for G2X and it flashes baseband aswell on my phone but it is not fully compatible with p990

You cannot flash basebands on the P990 with nvflash, regardless of whether or not you can do it on other models. You have to use smartflash as already mentioned above
If you manage to flash baseband with nvflash or find someone who can I'll buy you a beer! :beer:

No offence, but enough, nvflash ain't, and won't be, able to flash baseband. If you guys want to you're free to pm me. Explain in detail about your issues with smartflash and I will do what I can to help you

Do you have a rooted phone alread? If yes, search for touch cwm optimus black and you ll find what you are trying to get. If your phone isnt rooted already, try the cwm injection method and just reflash v20o.

My LG-p990 is 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) and I wanna downgrade it to Froyo in order to root it without the help of my PC. Can anyone here are give me the guides of installing 2.2 and the zip file? I really want to OC the phone
Look into guide on our section and there's how to flash kdz files woith froyo..

I upgraded my wife's OB to Official ICS of LG.. I successfully rooted it but i dont know how to install CWM directly to ICS..
i tried other CWM but they all keeps bricking the handset i just used LG's Mobile Support Tool to Recover the phone..
Any help? Anyone knows how to install CWM directly to OFFICIAL ICS of LG?

do you need cwm to flash roms? its better if you flash a patched rom. just sayin :laugh:

Flash a patched v20 with cwm, then from recovery flash my repack, or marvel, or izs, ... this is the way you have to go or use an experimental process, which might hardbrick your phone. I wont point you to it, since it seems your not advanced enough.

exactly.. i need a CWM to flash custom roms.. i was at zeus then update to official ics of lg using lg mobile support tool.. i rooted it tried to install cwm via UPK installed a terminal emulator to reboot into recovery then BOOM!
phone is not turning on anymore.. it only shows security error! that's it..
i know how to flash rom with smartflashtool or cwm but the problem is my internet is a bit slow at this point in time hehe!
can i get a link of patched v20 version with cwm in it? ill just download it the whole night tonight and i will flash it tomorrow using smart flash!

after you flash your opblack using smartflash, you will get back to the stock rom. then just root your opblack if you want to install cm. that's the only way if you stuck at security error
