I just found this interesting and wanted to share about this power button app as to preserve your power button from using too much.
Here is the app that I use a lot to switch off display and it does not drain the battery.

re-uploaded and now is working.
Hi
I successfully repaired volume button using flex from HTC HD2 which is available for reasonable price.
So now I do not care if one day my power button will die because I still have four spare micro switches.
Cost of repair is next to nothing.

When selected via the Power Control widget, is the GPS ever REALLY on unless you're running an app that actually uses it? In other words, would it be any more battery friendly to leave it disabled and then just enable it before launching an app that needs it (such as Google Maps Navigation)? Or is it safe to just leave it always enabled?
I have it always on and it never shows up under battery-usage-since-unplugged, Probably because nothing is using it.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll leave it enabled for awhile and see for myself.
Yup...me too. I have it on all the time and my battery is just the same as not having it on. I actually have everything on the power widget on.

Good to know. I'm going to turn it on and see how it effects my battery.

Well, I'm pretty certain that keeping WiFi and Bluetooth on at all times will drain the battery quite a bit, whether you're connected to other devices or not.

thats different though, as they "search" for something to connect to.
not the case for the GPS.

Right, I'm getting that. But what kind of feedback can someone give on battery life when he/she is already a serious power drainer?
I am running ARHD 7.3 currently and right now these are the apps I have running in the background :
Adblock
SetCPU : When I turn my screen off, it will lower my CPU to the lowest.
Go power Master : Turns off my Wifi and Data when my screen is off ( currently not using this feature )
Those are the apps I have running in the background to try and save some energy.
What other settings or apps could you guys recommend?
I feel like my phone is losing battery too quick. I would have my phone out and going through the settings and learn more about the phone (Im new to Android the battery would go down 1% every 2 minute or so.
My iPhone 4S seems to last longer. But then again, my iPhone 4s is only on 3G while my HTC1 is on 4G.
there is the HTC power saver... it does his job well

I am having the same problem with my "One" (AT&T Version), but only after I restored a Dev Edition Nandroid backup.
Can you verify if your LED turns green after a full charge?
Mine just goes dim red after full charge instead of green?

I don't remember where I heard this from but, someone said that it's not good to use HTC power saver along with other power saver apps?
Is that correct?
Can HTC power saver alone be good enough to save battery?

But when I'm in recovery, there is no LED
Is it anyone is working on? I used extremele power save for over three hours today and I lost 0% of my battery when it was on. I think it would be a great idea to have it go on anytime your screen is off.

I am certain Tasker can accomplish this for you, but I'll have to work on a recipe. Get back to you if anything works out...

I have moto maxx BR lollipop. It charges in minits and work till 48% then terns off. After seconds on charge it gots 53%! I try battery calibration apps. No one solve the problem.
Help me please.
Hi,
Do you charge it before it runs out of battery ? Calibration should help fix the issue. If this didn't work for you then I suggest you take it in for a battery replacement.
Cheers !

How to calibrate? I read that i have to keep holding the power button for 20 seconds and it will switch off? But it just restarts?

Can you give a link?
If the recallibration doesnt work, I would say look for a new battery. That doesnt sound right.
Hi again,
Try this "Battery Calibrator" - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.jonrichards.batterycalibrator.ui
This is meant for the nexus but works on other devices as well. If this doesn't work for you try to look up on the play store.
Some calibrators require root access. Make sure you check that before trying them out.
There are tons of videos on how to calibrate a phone's battery. Have a look and post your results.
Cheers !

Great! It works!
Hi everyone!
I've been using split screen feature quite often, but when I placed it under sun today with this memory consuming feature, it turned slow and after 5 minutes, the screen went out. Still can hear the rings and vibrations but LED isn't coming back.
Can someone please help me how I can work this around, any shortcuts or hardware DIYs?

Looking like it's shut it's self down to stop over heating, put it somewhere cold and hopefully it will come back to life, switch it off first. Did you mean LCD screen isn't coming on?

It's working now. I turned on the flashlight (by taking guesses on position of the icon) to drain the battery faster, then when the battery died, I charged it and it worked.
Thanks!

But why drain the battery. You can switch the phone off pressing the power button 10 to 15 sec.
