seen this issue before as a sprint tech, if you have a paper clip or something else small that can fit in the little SIM hole use it to pop out that SIM and then just reinsert it, hope that helps

I had same issue with my phone once and just popped it out and insert SIM card in again and back to normal again.

Hey man, had this EXACT problem yesterday. This is the result of bad sim connectors on HTC's part. The best fix? What they call the "tape fix." Take the sim out (very easy, stick a needle or paperclip in the tiny hole in top left of phone). and put not one, but two pieces of scotch tape on the back side of the sim card. then use a small pair of scissors to cut the extra tape around the sim card. Then put the sim back in like normal. This fix works 100%, I promise you I did it yesterday. Here is a link to a video. Good luck.

Thank you. Little things like this get annoying

Same happened to me then pull it from needle like tool. Sim came out but the connecters inside sim slot messed up infact broke. Then I had to send it back to samsung for rma to fix it.

Problem inserting Sim card

I have just removed sim card, and now i need to insert it back, but the sim is not held deep enough in the slot so that i can apply the cap on.
Hmm
Any ideas?

press it down a bit more. it should give a slight "click" and then be secured in the slot. to get it out again, press down hard, hear the "click" and it should pop up again.
Something wrong with it. Cant get the click. I'm turning it in for repair tomorrow.

Nexus Rattle [SOLVED]

I know the previous thread was closed that I was reading but this may give piece of mind.
I came across a thread on here seeing if anyone else had the rattling phone issue, there were 11 pages about people saying its the camera. I found that it is the SIM door lever (little spot you push to eject the SIM card),
I took a small piece of paper, plugged it, shook it, and NO rattle.
There's a video in spanish I think on xda showing it's the sim tray that makes the noise when u shake it

I cant speak Spanish  JK, Just got excited when I found it, figured I'd share.
Mine rattles when I tap it against my hand, but not when I shake it. I figured it was the camera too.

There are two types of rattle. One from camera on from the tray. Mine is from camera, as i did check when i took it apart to do thermal mod.

[Q] Removing the Barcode sticker?

Do I need it? Is it necessary for ID/warranty? Can I remove it? Will it leave glue on the back?
I don't like it. It takes away from the purity
I took mine off the first day. It came off pretty easy with no glue residue. ESN number is in settings and any other numbers you may need are on the box.
via sexy phONE.
No you do not need it for warranty as they can boot up into bootloader and show the barcodes I think it was just there as a means of easy activating
Mine started rubbing off the first day. It's completely gone now but the phone is in a case so I left the sticker on for now.
I removed on both my ONEs as soon as I got them.
OK thanks guys it's coming off now.
The beats audio logo is removable also. Just use nail polish remover and it'll come off clean =)
Mine just faded off all the numbers so I peeled it off

I believe the # is also in the sim tray. Mine came off when I got home.
Mine was off before I left the parking lot

Mine completely rubbed off (lol) after about a week.
First thing I did after taking the phone out of the box was remove the dumb sticker.
Barcode Sticker
The sticker is trash, all the info on it is in the phone and on the box.
On a side note, why would a company put the serial number of a device on a removable sticker? I have had this happen before and then it is not legal to resell because the serial number has been removed. This practice needs to stop. End of rant.

You don't even need nail polish remover if you're like me and slide the phone in and out of your pocket all day haha. My beats logo is almost gone after having the phone for about a month.

In that case, the whole back panel can be removed use pliers.
I sent my phone in for repair without a sticker and it came back with a new sticker.

Yeah external means of identification are pointless and annoying. I for one can't wait for those implantable RFID chips the government will be mandating next year. No more passport or DL!! Wahooo!

It didn't start being blurry until I flashed the firmware but I'm not sure how long after. I have been on Bad Boyz since it was available and never had this issue.

I think this might be a problem, I remember reading on here that someone else's camera did the same thing but I can't find the post.
I guess I'll just go back to stock and take it to Sprint

It seems like this is a common issue with no other fix that I can find besides taking it to Sprint. I will post if I find any additional solutions.
Found a fix by searching Google and it really
worked, a drop of water and scrape the lens with the corner of a credit card.

That's great mine has been a little blurry gonna try it when I get home thanks
Mine got foggy too. Keep mine in a case and in my front pocket without anything else. Still got all scratched up. Read HTC has put a coating on the lenses for what ever reason.
I placed a small dab of toothpaste with an even smaller dab of water and rubbed on the lens very lightly. First time almost got it 100%, second time did it. Pulled the coating off nicely. Pictures are really clear again.
I've also read rubbing alcohol and Q-tips will do the trick.
Sweet I'm not crazy then it does have a coating on it
camera film
Thanks for the great tip....it worked like CHARM,
I'm Sporting the HTC ONE M8 TOTALLY MODDED
