[BOOTANIMATIONS][COLLECTION][TAILOR-MADE] L2D's Bootanimation Inc - LG Optimus 4X HD

hi
what's started as a attempt to create a simple boot animation recently is for me now beginning to me my daily hobby. Within after days my first project I kept my fingers and brain out of deep sleep to put my ideas into work.
Latest of my collection, welcomeCM for CyanogenMod (but easily customisable to other mods) features Cid + Windows Phone
To download it and other bootanimations, simply visit https://www.box.com/s/dv0pq8bomwfn5931ol4l
Rename it to bootanimation.zip and follow the steps to install it. Remember to backup the existing bootanimation.zip!

future aim & objective
I want to pump out more cool, creative, and lag-free, boot animations, for Stock, CM or General.
I can also help you make your own boot animation!!! PM me or reply to this thread to state your ideal boot animation.
copyright claims
I don't claim originality to any original logos, copyrighted materials. My work is a creative extension upon the original materials present, if any.
For the complete animation giving me a due notification / credit for use, distribution, re-edits and distribution of such, inclusion to ROM, would be nice.

i'll be pumping out more bootanimation soon.
Updated upcoming projects.

That's so weird...I cant change permissions...at least ES file explorer keeps saying that. By just swithing the bootanimation.zip...it still boots with the old one.

weird indeed. are you having this issue with modifying other system files?
try using a different browser. im using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree
a little inconvenice with this browser, which could be happening on other browsers too, is:-
after you pasted and overwrote bootanimation.zip with the new one the permission will still appears as rw-r-r.
Back up one level and return to /system/media you'll find the zip now having rw-rw-r
OR
Check /data/local directory for any other bootanimation.zip
delete if any

Love the "welcomeCM" bootanimation so minimal and just as I like it.

Thanks a bunch! Everything works now! Looking great! Keep up the good work! I might even do some myself since I'm kinda involved into graphics and stuff. Gotta figure out how to make it an actual boot animation rather than a bunch of images lol

But bootanimation IS a bunch of images, Literately

MediaFire: Download - 480x800
MegaUpload: Download - 320x480 <<<Fixed 4/7/11
MegaUpload: "NEW" Download - 490x800 4/8/11
Installation:
1. Copy bootanimation.zip to the root of your SD Card
2. Move it to /data/local/ or /system/media/ and replace existing one using root explorer.
Reboot and Enjoy!
If animation is to fast or if you need it to work on your older phone, open attached desc.txt file and just modify the the resolution values based on your device screen size (high end devices 480x800 (width x height).
Example: if your resolution values are 320x480, your txt file should look like this in the first line:

Awesome animation, I love it.. Thanks much for creating it!!!
Only little problem I have: it's running way too fast on my HTC EVO (w/ Calkulin's EViO ROM v1.7.7.. THE BEST CUSTOM ROM... - EVER!).
Where's the file the Dev is talking about? Is it part of the zip file..? I guess so, as nothing else downloaded...
Will be tinkering with it a bit, hoping to figure it out...

If you could have it enter login information one letter at a time for Dante or another character from the game before the umbrella starts to spin faster that'd be awesome! Just a suggestion, either way this is sick.

[BOOT] Kitty Cat Animations (EC05, EG22) | 8/11

Kitty Cat Boot Animations
This is my first break into boot/shutdown animations. I put these together for my wife, an adamant cat lover. We stumbled upon Simon’s Cat videos on youtube and it just made her think of her fluffy cat. That’s all it took, so I put these together as a surprise to bring more cat joy to her phone! The look I went for was to have the cat clean itself until the phone is shut down, where it finally stops to look at the screen. There is a separate flash-able for EC05 and EG22 because Gingerbread uses sanim.zip instead of bootanimation.zip. You will require a kernel with boot animation support. While the boot animations should appear just fine, I have not actually tested the shutdown animations yet and am simply assuming how it will appear. Enjoy!

About Flashing Shutdown Animations:
Shutdown animation exists as a sequence of PNG files in /system/media/video/shutdown so this zip will simply copy the image files there. HOWEVER, since this is not simply replacing one file like the boot animation, if you currently have a shutdown animation this zip you should delete the folder using your root accessible file manager of choice (unsolicited advertisement: Root Explorer does very well with read/write permissions and is totally worth the purchase) or adb the folder out of there. If you flash over an existing PNG sequence it may be prone to weird flashing and stuttering.
DISCLAIMER: ALWAYS have a backup of your system BEFORE you flash. I am not responsible for anything bad happening to your phone should you choose to flash these files.

I'm having the same problem. I delete the shutdown folder with root explorer before flashing the zip. Still no dice. On srf1.2 if that makes any difference.

That's weird. You can always push the folder to your phone manually. Ill look into it.

I figured it out after trying to push the folder manually. There was no cfg file included so I made one. Also for some reason all the png suffixes we capitalized which didn't seem to work so I changed those and it works now.

Just unzip and replace the video folder in system/media with this.

I don't like that the bootanimation has sound when you turn on the device....
Switching back to normal boot animation
Would you be able to make a live wallpaper using the boot background? Looking for a live wall that looks. Like the ps4 background

just an advice, maybe if you can make it in different color like in the SP thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620726
that would be a greater
i cant downloaded, can you miror?
You can add this for Jarvis boot animation (1280x720)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50961349
First of all, this is not my original idea.
I have modified the original to use proper images with 1280x720 resolution of Note II and changed the sequence of animation.
I have also put heart-like throbbing at the end of the animation which makes it look even cooler.
I am sharing this with you guys who wanted a proper 1280x720 version.
This is a general boot animation and has nothing to do with which rom or phone you use.
This also has audio but it will not work on CyanogenMod rom (tested) as CM doesn't support Boot Sound out of box..
But I believe there are mods/hacks to enable this on CM. I leave that to you.
For your info (links to mods/hacks):
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/6...-screen-audio/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1010045

Please feel free to distribute, host or modify it as per you needs.
If you didn't like the animation sequence, you can modify yourself using the tools below. It's fairly simple. Please don't request me to do it.
Don't forget to give credits to your predecessors. It's not going to cost you anything.
Tools:
To re-size the images I have used utility called Image Resizer for Windows by Brice Lambson
imageresizer.codeplex.com
To extract GIF images, I have used gif2frames by Corey (UnbrellaStudio)
http://www.umbrellastudio.com/tools/...-animated-gif/
To create/extract zip file, PeaZip (Make sure you select Store as Comression Level in Advanced)
peazip.sourceforge.net
Credits:
This is originally based on Jarvis Boot Animation by hypd09 (which is again is based off Jarvis app on iOS)
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comm...ation_480x800/
I made use of the GIF images from:

Note:
I will not able to answer your questions because I don't spend much time on XDA but I sure there plenty people here to help you out.
You can also search the answers to lot of your questions by yourself if you put enough efforts. Thanks.
Download:
The size of the file is huge for a boot animation(~100 MB)
If anyone can manage to reduce it, feel free to do so and share it with others.

How to Install?
1. Requires Root Access
2. Copy this zip file
3. Go to /System/Media/
4. Rename old bootanimation.zip to prevent from being overwritten.
5. Paste the copied zip file
If still confused, search XDA or Google.
Thanks & Enjoy
