I have bought an used iphone 3g for my girlfriend off a random guy who advertised he is selling it, i think it had 2.xxx firmware, and i've tried to upgrade the firmware on itunes and it apparently failed and restoring it has failed too, giving an "1015" error for some reason... any idea how to fix this? Been trying to fix this for like 5 hours now and nothing i've tried has solved the issue... Now she's left without a phone since i messed it up. Anyone please have an idea how to fix this?
Thanks a lot

XDA is for discussion of Android and Windows Phone devices only. Should be moved to www.iphone-developers.com
or just google the error code.

To the OP......
I realize you are an iPhone user so here you go.....

As mentioned above, xda has a "sister site" for iphone users...

You'll get more luck there. Thread closed.

Spamming the board and asking for things to break the rules, won't get you much answers. Just saying.
Good Lock!
You realize you are insinuating in an open forum your desire to procure illegal software?

Hello guys,
There was a post on a developers section that has opened my mind to an interesting wondering.
That guy asked if it's possible to run Windows8 (not a WindowsPhone 8) on our galaxy i9000.
I'm sure that most of xda users here know about HTC HD2's capability to run many operating system like WindowsPhone 7and all the android versions, and since i9000 is a very powerful device why wouldn't it be capable of running Windows Phone 7 or 8 in the future..
Simple,
Android = Open source
Windows Phone & iOS X = Closed/Proprietary
No like the guy said above windows ate very strict with there electronics

Wow, you wanna argue?
"windows ate very strict with there electronics" WTF are you on about? 'ate', of course 'Windows Phone 'ATE' strict rules like iOS. Lol, symbian has better apps than WP whatta a serious troll.
Android>iOS>RIM/Symbian>Windows Mobile
Would take RIM/Symbian over windows phone anyway. Same with Windows 8 and it's metro ui

Please post in the correct section. Also this is website is for android based phones, not anything apple. I'm sure you're probably just trolling . Take this to the proper site.

This might be the most out of place thread in the history of xda....seriously you posted this into Android themes
Seriously though, I am not sure there is anywhere on xda you can help with your macbook pro issues....but unless your macbook is really old you probably want win64.
Hi all I have found the best experience for me is to have a Stock OS that is rooted. I have don't this throughout various versions and wonder if I am running the latest. Now I'm aware that the code for UK is BTU. But it might be that I can get an more modern FW with English with a European code.
I'd basically like to know what the bleeding edge latest version is and if anyone can point me in the correct direction to download a stock rooted version.
Cheers
BTW I'm currently running...(see attached)

my opinion is that you should have tried searching xda forums instead of posting
further to that you could have tried using google search
i would assume that since you have a nexus 7 you are familiar with how to search on google
good luck with your search @ninjalandpirate
man i wish the mods would bring in the iron fist ruling like they did in the tf100 section
Hi sorry if that seemed rude. After XDA decided to remove themselves from tapatalk and charge for their cloned tapatalk XDA app I spent the money and bought it. However when I search it i searched the whole xda-verse. So search fail yes but not my fail.
All I can do is apologise if the 60+ thing seemed rude.
Thanks for your links I'll check them out. Never thought I'd get a rep for not searching

As far as Google searching goes I have found various sites like sammy but nothing will tell me what is the latest FW. Clearly something I have misunderstood about the codes (AMG4 AMJ etc) how do you tell whether AMJ4 is newer than AMG4?
And more apologies I'm kicking myself for triggering your scornful replies. I am familiar with Google yes.
Is there a definitive list or timeline maybe?
