Hi
I rooted my phone 2 days back and installed Trickdroid ROM, since then i am facing issues with data connection... This is what happens:
It works for a while and then just stops receiving data.. the sending data arrow blinks (with HSPDA) but the receiving doesn't. If i turn the data off and on again.. it again works for a while.
To troubleshoot: I flashed the ROM again (full wipe, even at first it was full wipe); nothing changed.> I deleted my APN settings and manually added new settings (VODAFONE), still the same... works for a while and stops.
Then i installed Ordroid ROM... same issue.. tried everything.
This was working perfectly when i got my device and was stock.
i can't say that it's 4.2.2 or anything cause my friends did the same and they don't have issues.
Now need some expert advice as to what went wrong.
p.s.: WiFi works perfectly.
You can try updating the radio firmware as this may be the problem but this may or may not 100% fix it as your case seems isolated (not many other complaints). May just be your carrier upgrading stuff also.
You can try full wiping again. It might fix your data problem.
Heres the link for the radios

about halfway down youll find them I just updated to the .24 fw and have seen a slight performance (ATT)
I dont know if you need s-off or not since i am s-off to update these through recovery but even with s-off i couldn't update through adb

Which one should i be choosing?? I am on vodafone india. Also can i just flash through CWM? i am not soff.
I'd try the .24 just since its the newest. I don't know if it will work with S-On since I am s-off. You can give it a try but you can easily set s-off if you need to with revolution. I renamed the zip download to radio.zip and flashed it with twrp so cwm should also work. Just check to make sure theres no problem with putting it on your phone which there should be none and this may fix it since it relates straight to the radio.

Flashed the radio. 24. Let's see results now.
I've got the same issues.... I flash the Rom ARHD 10.1 then back to 9.4 be cause i don't like the 4.2.2 sense rom.
I try to change the radio with the 3 .zip avalaible and nothing change. I'll try to full wipe my one today, and do a factory reset..
ps: excuse my english..
Issue persists... what else guys?

I am having a weird problem with my Nexus One. Everytime I install any custom rom, the installation will happen properly. But then after rebooting the phone will have just a blank screen. It is just the display that does not work. adb works fine and I can view the screen and access it using Android Screencast! When I flash 2.6.35.4_SVS-925mV_CFS_AXI_720p_1113MHz_082710 kernel on top of the custom ROM, it starts working fine! I would like to try better kernels to improve battery and for other stuff. But I am stuck at this point! It happens with every other kernel (I have tried some 10 to 15 other kernels). This is the only one that seems to work. Luckily I found this one..
Yesterday I tried stock 2.3 ROM. It also had the same problem!! Not sure what is going on here. Can someone provide some tips or anything? It is not a problem with flashing as I am very much used to it (have flashed my phone more than 100 times or so!). I am not a very dumb person as well
What recovery are you using? When you went back to stock did you use the passimg method or did you flash via recovery or fastboot?
Only RA 1.8 works for me. I get blank screen with other recoveries. I don't think mine is SLCD. I got it sometime in Jan 2010 itself (when SLCD did not even start).
I flash via recovery.
So even Amon RA 2.2.1 doesn't work that's odd anyway have you tried using temasek system wipe before you flash? I suggest you make a 5X wipe (factory reset) and temasek system wipe 3X then see if you can flash what ever you want.

Ok! I will give it a shot. What has been puzzling is that, when I install the specified kernel (2.6.35.4_SVS-925mV_CFS_AXI_720p_1113MHz_082710), any custom ROM would work!
Anyways... I will try temasek wipe and see if that helps. Will post my findings tomorrow.
Still not working
Hi everyone.. I am still facing the same issue.. I still have only one working kernel version. I have tried almost every other ROM. Kang-o-rama, LeoFroyo, CM7, MIUI, etc.. Everything has this same problem. The default kernel itself does not work.
Any one has any idea?
Seriously when I think about it it might be hardware limitations or issues because it only one kernel works and only one recovery works then I think it might be an issue with the screen, have you ever had it replaced or have you ever had any repairs done on the phone?? If not then maybe call up htc with your problem your warranty is probably out anyway so just tell them that you have root access and only a few custom things work and none of their stuff works. They should be able to fix it some how although it won't be free.

Hi.. Can it be something to do with HBOOT or Radio version? When I go into bootloader, following information is displayed.. When I was switching across different ROMs, I had to upgrade HBOOT once as it was a requirement then. I guess it was because of the image size..
NEXUSONE PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.35.0017
MICROP-0b15
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0103
RADIO-5.08.00.04

Well I suppose it is possible but I doubt it because you have the latest hboot and the radio and the radio either works or the phone is bricked most of the time so those should be fine but if you want you could try flashing a new hboot again just to see what happens.
Sorry for the late reply I've been away these last few days.

Blank screen - logcat attached
Hi.. I am attaching the logcat output when I run into this blank screen issue. The phone itself works perfectly fine. I used Android Screencast and was able to see everything working properly. Still puzzled on the issue!!
This is the logcat after flashing MIUI 1.9.30. Again, I flash wildmonk 2.6.35.4 kernel and everything works perfectly fine.
Can someone look into the logcat and see if anything could be found? Any help would be really appreciated!

Hi.. Can someone help me?
I've bought the HTC One Developer Edition in the first 2 months they released so I went S-OFF with the first method which stopped working after whatever update.
I've been using ARHD ROM since then and manually flashing the baseband. I've had an issue with WiFi for a long time, but I can't handle it anymore.
The problem is, some websites fail to load on WiFi. For example, going to amazon.com works, but when I try to log in, it never laods. The amazon app doesnt work or login in with browser. If I turn WiFi off, however, it works. I checked to see if it was my Router, but it isnt. My brother's phone logs in fine. Same goes with WhatsApp, I can't send pictures while on WiFi, but using 3G data, I can.
My only theory is maybe I've skipped some baseband upgrading which failed to upgrade some important incremental radio or something.
Any ideas?

Ok, I am back home. I cant find the firmware you speak of. The ones I've been flashing are the NoWipe ZIPs on Sneakyghost's forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316726&nocache=1 Download links found: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LQDLpVZYyUpXPgC2sh1BvAS9Oo8B-fTiZU_JhpIH-fU/pubhtml
They come with TWRP also. I've never flashed a baseband that wipes phone just NoWipe modified Zips.
I am on 5.11.401.10, download links show two newer ones, 6.06.401.1 and 6.09.401.5

Thanks, is that a NoWipe file or will that wipe Apps?
So I've rooted my phone and I also have s off from the sunshine application I'm on Android 4.4. 3 and my wifi has stopped working it doesn't show my wifi signal bars on the top of my screen as usual and when trying to connect from settings it says saved but will not actually connect I am on stock rom still using blinkfeed I have installed busybox and I have installed Java with fdroids awton Java installer I have xposed framework Flash installed from twrp2. 8 recovery I had installed X sense and feel as if something there might have messed me up when changing app ops settings for permission to write SMS but I have no idea, I was using network discovery but I don't see how that could lead to the problem at hand can somebody please direct me as to what to look at to find out what my problem may or may not be and figure it out with me from there hopefully? Thanks XDA
Oh pS I already restored a backup after wiping what can I do now same problem still no wifi but it doesn't actually tell me no wifi there just isn't my wifi is working fine on my ps3

You would have flashed it at some point in time, so it sounds like you didn't. I would do a clean flash of your ROM and not install any mods and see if Wi-Fi works. Is your firmware up to date?
And
Click on "More" and take a screenshot so I can see your baseband version.
Here
It's posted above Idk what I should flash to make a clean stock backup with all my root an stuff though
I found this correct on any forum rules I apologize but http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795823 I found this but I am on a much newer baseband as my phone accidentally caught an ota before I s off 'd with sunshine and it's like 3.18 so I can't use it not sure ..what to do..
http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...2-16-651-4-OTA&p=299475&viewfull=1#post299475 I found this...
Use this ROM:
http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...L-Stock-Rooted-Base-2-16-651-4-(Android-4-4-3)
Make sure you do a full wipe in recovery beforehand.
Okay I finished flashing but my WiFi isn't working still but the phone is fresh can I flash something now to fix it?
Does fulll wipe mean I have to do a total internal sd wipe? As well if so I need to backup I wiped and installed and hboot installed the radio stuff from throwbacks posts correspond ing firmware still no WiFi.... Ughh

No, just data, system, cache & Dalvik cache.
Any other suggestions like a new kernel and Rom deodexed I should do my WiFi remains unworking so troublesome
I would RUU back to stock and if it still continues to not work then you're most likely looking at a hardware issue.
You try selecting connect on your saved Wi-Fi? I know I've had my Wi-Fi not automatically connect sometimes.
Yea but then it just doesn't connect after for like a second saying connecting but then it wont
Is there a difference between ruu and hboot flashing radio I'm just hang in out with throwbacks stock deodex and also have firmware zip maybe I did it in wrong order? Hmm it seems like maybe just my WiFi connection got disabled but not any other WiFi ... I'm going to double check that
I'm having trouble with my phone whereby rebooting it (for xposed module updates and the like) will cause the phone to either enter a bootloop or reboot succesfully and lose signal (I also lose my apn list without anyway of saving new apn's and also get "unknown" for both imei and baseband in settings).
This appears to have happened since I have moved to google stock based roms (cyanogenmod, liquidsmooth etc) and I have not yet found a permanent fix - I have tried all matter of things such as flashing a new radio, reflashing rom, wiping cache and dalvik cache - all these solutions have both worked and not worked so I am stuck as to what is causing this.
I am wondering whether it might be to do with not being on the latest firmware or hboot. I am currently on FW 5.12.771.3 or FW 4.20.771.17 (sorry but I am afraid to reboot into fastboot in order to find the exact FW and getting the rom stuck in a bootloop again) and H-BOOT 1.54.00.
I have also been told my problem may lie with meta-inf file, but this is over my head.
Thanks in advance.

You can give them a call and explain what you are experiencing, then go from there. If it is under warranty, you will want to send it back stock.

If you have warranty your only hope is to try and s-off the device. Then you can return to Stock and get it repaired under warranty.
Getting s-off may prove troublesome. But you say your phone is stable at this time so I assume your running CM11?

It's over 18 months old so I doubt the warranty is available. Ive had the purple tinted camera issue fixed already.
I am running cm11, the issue only appears to be when I reboot. When the phone is left on without a reboot I don't get any signal issue whatsoever.

Well the fact that imei and baseband come back is promising. Although it's hard to know what tinkering with it may do. Could make it worse, could make it better depends on what exactly is causing it. but so far it sounds like your problem is not quite as bad as the other cases.
Is the device still on contract with Three, if so you may find they will replace it. It's definitely worth contacting them about the issue. If there prepared to replace the device it's worth trying to s-off. I'm with Three myself and have an extensive collection of files you can use to return to stock. But you will need to s-off the phone.
I would speak with Three first find out what your options with them are before playing about with it to much. But if your going to s-off it would be better to do it sooner rather than later. If the reboots get worse. You may have a hard time achieving s-off.

Yep, all ran stable until rebooting. My device is S-OFF . I think i'll stick to sense roms for the time being.
I unlocked my bootloader and flashed CM11 it was fine until the wifi no longer worked at all it authenticates and it connects to the router however it wont load anything. I flashed ARHD and it also doesn't work on it. What could be the problem?
I thought I should note that the phones IP shows up in the routers connected devices.

Other devices are fine, It seems to work after i leave it overnight and then randomly not work even though its connected and I get the Internet connection unstable error.

Well, i used Liquid Smooth Rom to S-OFF. it works fine but you also need to check your hboot version before S-OFF.
the reason why i S-OFF my device because i did some rom flashing but it was too buggy and i accidentally hit wipe everything. All the rom that i downloaded is wipe, no software in it and abd sideload wont work for me atm. So i have to get OTG cable and run Liquid Smooth to S-OFF. After that i can run the RUU properly.

My concern is the WiFi issue I mentioned that I am not able to s-off just so its clear that I cannot return to stock via a RUU.
I am fairly sure though that flashing the ARHD stock ROM then stock recovery is almost the same. I did get the OTA right after flashing the stock recovery with it. But the WiFi issue started with using firewater. I am curious because it uses WiFi and I have tried it many times maybe it caused some damage? Anyone know if its possible for firewater to cause WiFi damage? I'm thinking its something else but if anyone knows anything let me know :good:
